Our Character Shows!

Our Character Shows!

Sept. 26, 2013 – Psalms 52

Today’s Feast

Psalms Chapter 52 - “The enemies of the truth and the church described, Their destruction. (1-5) The righteous rejoice. (6-9)”- Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 52. The psalmist describes the character of the wicked. He demonstrates the character of a person who is living a godly life truly thankful to God!  I will thank you forever,
    because you have done it.
I will wait for your name, for it is good,
    in the presence of the godly.”   Psalm 52:15-17 - English Standard Version (ESV).  The way we live our life says more about our character than the words we speak!  Don’t rail against government or worry about politics, seek Jesus and his righteousness (See Matthew 6:33).  In all things Jesus is our advocate and savior. For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:30-31 ESV.

Salvation is ours. Jesus is calling us home today.  This is the day to answer his call. Do you want to find peace and purpose?  If the answer is yes please click the following link;

What Should We Do?

What Should We Do?

Sept. 25, 2013 – Psalms 51

Today’s Feast

Psalms Chapter 51 - “The psalmist prays for mercy, humbly confessing and lamenting his sins. (1-6) He pleads for pardon, that he may promote the glory of God and the conversion of sinners. (7-15) God is pleased with a contrite heart, A prayer for the prosperity of Zion. (16-19)”- Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 51. Here We see the leader of a nation broken down his heart in his hand seeking God’s forgiveness. David is revealing his heart to God. He is truly repentant of where his sinful flesh has put him.  15 O Lord, open my lips,
    and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
    you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
    a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.   Psalm 51:15-17 - English Standard Version (ESV).  I know our leaders need to do the same for our governments to please God.  Saints we have a responsibility in the direction our nation is going!  Should we complain and harden our hearts because we feel our politicians have betrayed us?  They won’t listen to us!  How can we get through to them? Are we pleasing Jesus (see John 14:15)? The answer is here in God’s Word, pray listen to the Holy Spirit reminding us what our responsibility is;if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV.  As Christians it’s up to us to seek God in the name of Jesus, with truly repentant hearts.

[ Christ Our Advocate ] My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” 1 John 2:1 ESV

Salvation can be yours. Jesus is calling you to receive His loving promise.  Today is the day of salvation. Do you want to find peace and purpose?  If the answer is yes please click the following link;

What God Really Wants!

What God Really Wants!

Sept. 24, 2013 – Psalms 50

Today’s Feast

Psalms Chapter 50 - “The glory of God. (1-6) Sacrifices to be changed for prayers. (7-15) Sincere obedience required. (16-23)- Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 50. The psalmist entreats the “Rich Man”, God doesn’t want your money or sacrifice.  God owns the world and everything in it. “22 “Mark this, then, you who forget God,
    lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver!
23 The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me;
    to one who orders his way rightly
    I will show the salvation of God!””   Psalm 50:22-23 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Our Lord wants your heartfelt (sincere) thanksgiving!

 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.Hebrews 10:35-36 ESV.

Salvation cannot be bought or sold! Jesus is calling you home so you can receive His loving promise.  He will not keep calling forever.  Do you want to find peace and purpose?  If the answer is yes please click the following link;

First Things First!

First Things First!
Sept. 23, 2013 – Psalms 49

Today’s Feast

Psalms Chapter 49 - “A call for attention. (1-5) Folly of worldlings. (6-14) Against fear of death. (15-20)- Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 49. The psalmist entreats us to not envy the “Rich Man”,  for he can’t take the glory of his money with him.   “17 For when he dies he will carry nothing away;
    his glory will not go down after him.
18 For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed
    —and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—
19 his soul will go to the generation of his fathers,
    who will never again see light.
20 Man in his pomp yet without understanding is like the beasts that perish.”   Psalm 49:8-9 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Money doesn’t endure but the love of God endures forever.  God’s word entreats us to seek Jesus, and all of his righteousness.

 “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.Matthew 6:33 ESV
