Hallelujah!

Today’s Feast Hallelujah! Oct. 11, 2013 – Psalms 69 Psalms Chapter 69 - “David complains of great distress. (1-12) And begs for succour. (13-21) He declares the judgments of God. (22-29) He concludes with joy and praise. (30-36)- Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 69. David’s love for God is renowned; he is a man after God’s own heart.  Does he complain to God?  Yes but his prayers are seasoned with praise.  “30 I will praise the name of God with a song;     I will magnify him with thanksgiving. 31 This will please the Lord more than an ox     or a bull with horns and hoofs. 32 When the humble see it they will be glad;     you who seek God, let your hearts revive.”   Psalm 69:30-32 - English Standard Version (ESV).  When we pray in Jesus precious name God hears us.  So like David we should pepper our prayer with thanksgiving. If we think God is going to turn a deaf ear to our prayers; we are right!  If you want God to answer your prayer, give Him thanksgiving from you heart.  When we pray in Jesus name don’t pray in vain.  Expect God’s answer.  “[ Rejoicing in Heaven ] After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,” Revelation 19:1 ESV.  Hallelujah! Jesus is Lord!  “ For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.” Psalm 62:1 ESV.  Thank you Jesus Hallelujah! Amen! Can you still here Jesus calling? We Are Called To How High A Purpose?

Today’s Feast We Are Called To What Purpose? Oct. 10, 2013 – Psalms 68 Psalms Chapter 68 - “A prayer-- The greatness and goodness of God. (1-6) The wonderful works God wrought for his people. (7-14) The presence of God in his church. (15-21) The victories of Christ. (22-28) Enlargement of the church. (29-31) The glory and grace of God. (32-35)  - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 68. David’s hymn lives in this 35th verse of psalm 68.   “35 Awesome is God from his sanctuary;     the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!”   Psalm 68:35 - English Standard Version (ESV).  When we praise our God is an awesome God we are really giving Him all the glory. The gift of salvation from Jesus is from everlasting to everlasting.  God is the joy of His people!  When you are trying to quantify just how awesome is our God try figuring out how far east is from west. “12 as far as the east is from the west,     so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12 ESV. The love of Jesus is beyond measure!  “Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” Proverbs 19:20-21 ESV.  Jesus gives our life perfect and immeasurable purpose! Today’s Feast Let Us Bless Our Lord! Oct. 9, 2013 – Psalms 67 Psalms Chapter 67 - “A prayer for the enlargement of Christ's kingdom.”  - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 67. David’s prayer is for God to be blessed because God’s kingdom is blessed.   “6 The earth has yielded its increase;     God, our God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us;     let all the ends of the earth fear him!”   Psalm 67:6-7 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Why is David praying for God to be blessed? I’m sure in part it was because he took a vow to bless God; “1 I will bless the Lord at all times;     his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1 ESV. Our God Is Awesome!

Today’s Feast Our God Is Awesome! Oct. 8, 2013 – Psalms 66 Psalms Chapter 66 - “Praise for God's sovereign power in the creation. (1-7) For his favour to his church. (8-12) And the psalmist's praise for his experience of God's goodness. (13-20)”  - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 66 David’s psalm praising our awesome God and His blessings!   “20 Blessed be God,     because he has not rejected my prayer     or removed his steadfast love from me!”   Psalm 66:20 - English Standard Version (ESV).  When you pray in Jesus’ name remember you are praying to the same awesome God that King David prayed to. “1 Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised     in the city of our God! His holy mountain,” Psalm 48:1 ESV. There is no other name than Jesus by which mankind can be saved.  “11 I, I am the Lord,     and besides me there is no savior. 12 I declared and saved and proclaimed,     when there was no strange god among you;     and you are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and I am God.” Isaiah 43:11-12 ESV.  It is up to you and I, to share our awesome God with people everywhere.
