Where Will Our Help Come From?

Today’s Feast

Help Me, O Lord My God!
Nov. 17, 2013 – Psalms 109

Psalms Chapter 109- “David complains of his enemies. (1-5) He prophesies their destruction. (6-20) Prayers and praises. (21-31)” - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 109David approaches God in his time of need.  He exposes his enemies to God.  He praises God; in his heart David knows God will deliver him.  30 With my mouth I will give great thanks to the Lord;
    I will praise him in the midst of the throng.
31 For he stands at the right hand of the needy one,
    to save him from those who condemn his soul to death.”  Psalm 109:30-31 - English Standard Version (ESV).   We can bring every need to our Lord Jesus in prayer.   Like David we can praise God knowing that all things will work for our good (See Psalm 27:1)!  Always remember this; Jesus will never fail us.  “38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 ESV.  Jesus is the only one that can deliver us from sin and death (see John 14:6).
Our Jesus is Lord! Hallelujah!

We boldly serve Jesus; He is our Strength!

Serving Courageously In Love?

Nov. 16, 2013 – Psalms 108

Psalms Chapter 108- “… Believers may pray with assured faith and hope, for all the blessings of salvation; which are secured to them by the faithful promise and covenant of God. Then let them expect from him help in every trouble, and victory in every conflict. Whatever we do, whatever we gain, God must have all the glory. Lord, visit all our souls with this salvation, with this favour which thou bearest to thy chosen people.” - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 108.  David has served God courageously from the time he was a young shepherd.  His experience has taught him to depend on God in every circumstance.  12 Oh grant us help against the foe,

    for vain is the salvation of man!

13 With God we shall do valiantly;

    it is he who will tread down our foes.  Psalm 108:12-13 - English Standard Version (ESV).   We as Christians should serve Jesus with courage and assurance knowing our God is greater than the gods of this world (See Ephesians 6:10-11)!  We should always remember that our strength is in Jesus and never lean on our own understanding.  5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

    and do not lean on your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge him,

    and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV.  We know our Lord and Savior Jesus will strengthen, help and uphold us (see Isaiah 41:10).  We never apologize for or change God’s Word.  If the Word offends any person then they are offended by God.  Always share the Lord’s Word with love and confidence (see 2 Timothy 1:7)!

How great our God is; Our God’s name is above all names. Hallelujah!

Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So!

Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So!
Nov. 15, 2013 – Psalms 107

Psalms Chapter 107- “God's providential care of the children of men in distresses, in banishment, and dispersion. (1-9) In captivity. (10-16) In sickness. (17-22) Danger at sea.(23-32) God's hand is to be seen by his own people. (33-43)” - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 107The Psalmist is saying that God protects the people who draw near to Him.  His words describe the case of those the Lord has saved from the slavery of Satan;   43 Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things;
    let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.”  Psalm 107:43 - English Standard Version (ESV).   How do we wear the salvation Jesus has purchased for us (See Matthew 12:33)?  What sets us apart from that life of sin that Jesus pulled us out of? It is by our love that they can tell we are Christians! “4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV.  Jesus is the reason we can love one another and also our enemies (see Matthew 5:43-48).  We walk after Jesus so that love can be perfected in our lives (see 1 John 2:4-6)!
We will trust in God, and His peace will fill us. Hallelujah!

Who’s Your Hero?

Today’s Feast

Jesus is our righteousness!
Who’s Your Hero?
Nov. 14, 2013 – Psalms 106

Psalms Chapter 106- “The happiness of God's people. (1-5) Israel's sins. (6-12) Their provocations. (13-33) Their rebellions in Canaan. (34-46) Prayer for more complete deliverance. (47,48) - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 106The Psalmist is telling God’s chosen people they have no reason to be unhappy; they needn’t envy the pleasure or pride of unsaved people. He reminds the people of their transgressions; their need for prayer.  He lauds God and reminds the people to continually praise God.   48 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting!
And let all the people say, “Amen!”
    Praise the Lord!”  Psalm 106:48 - English Standard Version (ESV).   Not one of our sins should prevent us from giving glory and praise to the Lord.  Jesus is the reason we should continually have God’s praise on our lips (See 2 Corinthians 9:11-12).  We give Jesus all of our thanksgiving and praise; “4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. 1 Timothy 4:4-5 ESV.  Jesus has covered our sin so far from us we sing of His love forever (see Psalm 103:12).  We give all thanks and praise to Jesus; for his unwavering love sustains us endlessly (see Colossians 3:17)!
Give all praise and thanksgiving to our Hero, Lord and Savior Jesus. Hallelujah!
Do you hear Jesus calling you?   Do you want Jesus to make you anew?  Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link;
