Sing to the Lord a
New Song
Dec. 16, 2013– Psalms 149 & 150
Psalms 149 “Joy to all the people of God. (1-5)
Terror to their enemies. (6-9)” - Matthew Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast finishing up the book of Psalms. By reading Psalms 149 & Psalms 150 In
Psalm 149 The
Psalmist is singing a new song of joy praising God for his never ending love. “1 Praise
the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song, his
praise in the assembly of the godly!” Psalm 149:1 - English Standard Version (ESV). In Psalm 150 The
Psalmist is praising God for his endless love and mercies. “5 Praise
him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath
praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!” Psalm 150:5-6 - ESV. These two Psalms are fitting for this season
when we are honoring God for sending His Son Jesus to save all mankind (see
Luke 2:8-14). Sometimes we get in
such a dithering tizzy trying to make sure the Christmas season blesses those
we love, that we forget that Jesus is the blessing we are looking for. “8 And in
the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over
their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the
glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10
And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of
great joy that will be for all the people.” Luke 2:8-10 ESV. God already took
care of the blessing’s for all mankind (see John 3:16).
God brings the Joy to all who will
accept Jesus! Amen!

Let Everything That Has Breath Praise The Lord
Today’s Feast

Praise the Name of the Lord!
Dec. 15, 2013 – Psalms 148
Psalms
148 “The
creatures placed in the upper world called on to praise the Lord. (1-6) Also
the creatures of this lower world, especially his own people. (7-14)” - Matthew Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms.
By reading Psalms 148 . The Psalmist is saying everything in God’s
creation brings praise to the Lord. “14 He has raised up a horn for his people,
praise for all his saints,
for the people of Israel who are near to him.
Praise the!” Psalm
148:14 - English Standard Version (ESV). The Saints (that’s us) should be bringing
praise and thanksgiving in the name of Jesus (see 1 Corinthians 1:4) in everything we say and do.
We begin all things by giving thanks in Jesus name. “3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in
Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,” Ephesians 1:3 ESV. Once again we say; “Let our thanks be to
God from whom all blessings flow” (see 1 Corinthians 15:57).
In Jesus’ name we bring, praise to
our God! Hallelujah!
Can you still hear Jesus calling
you? Do you want to share in God’s
blessings ? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

With Praise & Thanksgiving!
Today’s Feast
With Praise
& Thanksgiving!
Dec. 14, 2013 – Psalms 147
Psalms
147 “The people of God are exhorted to praise him for his
mercies and care. (1-11) For the salvation and prosperity of the church.
(12-20)” - Matthew
Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms.
By reading Psalms 147
. The Psalm opens; “Praise the Lord!” The people of God built up, preserved and
given wisdom of God. “20 He has not dealt thus with any other nation; they do
not know his rules. Praise the Lord!” Psalm 147:20 - English Standard Version (ESV). The
church today, is built up and preserved by the wisdom, power, and goodness of
God, it is called to praise him for all the benefits and blessings received from
Jesus (see 1 Corinthians 8:5-6). We
begin all things by giving thanks in Jesus name. “57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our
Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57 ESV.
Let our thanks be to God from
whom all blessings flow (see Ephesians
1:3).
Thank God for blessing us with salvation through Jesus!
Hallelujah!

It’s Alright To Decide What’s Good Or Bad
Today’s Feast
![]()
Who Do You
Trust?
Dec. 13, 2013 – Psalms 146
Psalms 146 “Why we should not trust in men. (1-4) Why we should
trust in God. (5-10)” -
Matthew Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms.
By reading Psalms 146
. The Psalmist begins by praising God, and saying not to trust even
royalty. Blessed is the man who trusts
God. “10 The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all
generations. Praise the Lord!” Psalm 146:10 - English Standard Version (ESV). I
want to ask a simple question here; how do you even decide who to befriend? After all God’s Word tells us not to judge
others. Actually the answer is pretty
simple; if they are not and will not follow Jesus you discern that you
shouldn’t hang with them (see Proverbs 4:14). You should wholly trust God alone, not
men. That’s why you are to hold their
works up to the Word (see Proverbs 17:17). You
must be able to decide between what is good and what is bad if you are to
followJesus. That decision is not judgment!
It is deciding between Good and
Bad. “48 When it was full, men drew it
ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the
bad. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and
separate the evil from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery
furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 13:48-50 ESV. If
you have sense enough to trust the Word of God you won’t be part of those separated
from the righteous.
Jesus we thank you for keeping us! Hallelujah!

How Is Life With Our Lord?
Today’s Feast
![]()
How Is Life With
Our Lord?
Dec. 12, 2013 – Psalms 145
Psalms 145
“David extols the power, goodness, and mercy of the
Lord. (1-9) The glory of God's kingdom, and his care of those that love him.
(10-21)” - Matthew
Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms.
By reading Psalms 145
. David, who was under much pressure, now has much praise for God. David asked for much and God delivered him
and his men through impossible odds. Now
he approaches God with thanksgiving declaring God’s glory. “21 My
mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy
name forever and ever.”
Psalm 145:21 - English Standard Version (ESV). I don’t
recall any person who went to Jesus for salvation who came out saved in worse
condition than when they gave their life to Jesus. Let’s look at what happens when a person
accepts Jesus as their savior (see John 3:16). When one accepts Jesus they repent; turn
from the sin that makes them dead and miserable and Jesus forgives them. They turn this temporal life (that they can’t
keep anyway) over to Jesus. Jesus also
pays the whole price for all their sin so there is no longer any condemnation
for the new saint. Jesus in turn gives
them an eternal sin free life. Now the
new Christian begins to study God’s Word and the Holy Spirit builds their
faith. Our faith in Jesus will carry
us through every situation into eternity with Jesus (see 2 Corinthians 6:1-10). They may go
through some growing pains but in the end they are a better person. Can anyone tell me what the downside
is? “4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent
forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were
under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4-5 ESV.
Thank God in Jesus name for our new lives! Hallelujah!
