Where Is Our Heart & Armor?
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
Proverbs 21 “Verse 1. The believer, perceiving that the Lord rules every heart as he sees fit, like the husbandman who turns the water through his grounds as he pleases, seeks to have his own heart, and the hearts of others, Verse 30-31. What after all, our safety and salvation are only of the Lord. In our spiritual warfare we must arm ourselves with the whole armour of God; but our strength must be in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” - Matthew Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today’s Feast looks at the folly of ignoring God and trusting in our own understanding. Wise men trust in God’s love and decrees. “30 No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the Lord. 31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.” Proverbs 21:30-31 (English Standard Version) ESV. We know the fear of the Lord and God knows our hearts and what we hope for as we share God’s Word (see 2 Corinthians 5:11). We must trust in the strength of Jesus and we wear God’s whole armor (see Ephesians 6:10-13) because we wrestle against the sin not the sinner. Jesus came to save sinners not the righteous people. “12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12 ESV. We love God in Jesus name so we live by His statutes (see Matthew 22:36-40). Remember we can do everything through Jesus who gives us strength.

“13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV.

Be
Encouraged By Jesus!
“"I have told you these
things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world."”
John 16:33
Proverbs
20 “Verse
1. It seems hard to believe that men of the
greatest abilities, as well as the ignorant, should render themselves fools and
madmen, merely for the taste or excitement produced by strong liquors. Verse 30. Severe rebukes sometimes do a
great deal of good. But such is the corruption of nature, that men are loth to
be rebuked for their sins. If God uses severe afflictions, to purify our hearts
and fit us for his service, we have cause to be very thankful.” - Matthew Henry
Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today’s Feast in proverbs speaks to
overindulgence and slothfulness. We are
to be properly diligent to our earthly business. “29 The glory of young men is their strength, but the splendor of
old men is their gray hair. 30 Blows
that wound cleanse away evil; strokes make clean the innermost
parts.” Proverbs 20:29-30
(English
Standard Version) ESV. There are advantages to old age as well as
young (see
Proverbs 20:29); God will bless you no matter where you are
in your walk with Jesus (see
Hebrews 13:5). Avoid temptation by
turning to Jesus no matter what situation you find yourself in;
“13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God
is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with
the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to
endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV.
Remember that Jesus was tempted by
Satan. He turned away from sin and
referred Satan to God (see
Luke 4:8). We
should not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Jesus frees us from sin so we can enjoy a
more abundant life!

Deceived
By A Higher Power?
“Peace I leave with
you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not
your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27
Proverbs
19 “Verse
1. A poor man who fears God, is more
honourable and happy, than a man without wisdom and grace, however rich or
advanced in rank Verse
29. The unbelief of man shall not make God's threatenings of no effect.
Christ himself, when bearing sins not his own, was not spared. Justice and
judgment took hold of our blessed Surety; and will God spare obstinate
sinners?” - Matthew
Henry Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today’s Feast in proverbs speaks to
the value of wisdom and virtue as opposed to fool hearted folly. “1 Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity than one who
is crooked in speech and is a fool.; 28 A worthless witness mocks at justice, and the mouth of the wicked devours
iniquity. 29 Condemnation is ready for
scoffers, and beating for the backs of fools. ” Proverbs 19:1;28-29
(English
Standard Version) ESV. An unwise person says in their heart; “There
is no god” (see
Psalm 14:1) to their own detriment. There is no other name under heaven by which
(see
Acts 4:12),
people will be saved. Do not be deceived by people or even an angel
who would have you believe in another gospel than that which teaches; “There is
salvation in any other name than; Jesus the
only begotten son of God.”
“6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who
called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 not
that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to
distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should
preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be
accursed.” Galatians 1:6-8 ESV.
Remember that Jesus has a made a place
especially for you (see
John
14:2-3). The most precious thing about our
relationship with Jesus is; We are encouraged and free to share his love and
peace with others. Our God is Awesome!
Our Lord Jesus saves all who answer His
call to salvation!

Jesus
Makes Us Welcome!
“2 Set your minds on
things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:2 ESV
Proverbs
18 “Verse
1. If we would get knowledge and grace, we
must try all methods of improving ourselves. Verse 24. Christ Jesus never will
forsake those who trust in and love him. May we be such friends to others, for
our Master's sake. Having loved his own, which were in the world, he loved them
unto the end; and we are his friends if we do whatever he commands us, ( John
15:14 )” - Matthew Henry
Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today’s Feast in proverbs turns our
mind to thoughts about whom we trust in. “24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a
friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24
(English
Standard Version) ESV. Our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ, is that friend (see John 15:15) who sticks
closer than a brother. Do not get caught
up in endless complaining about life and government (see
Proverbs 18:7), people will begin to avoid you. Share
good news when addressing family, friends and acquaintances be imitators of
Jesus. “11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans
for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will
call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me
and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV.
Let them know that Jesus has a plan made
especially for them (see
Romans
8:28). Sharing God’s love makes you and I welcome
where it is important to be welcomed.

Does The
Truth Set Us Free?
This matter arose
because some false brothers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we
have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves.
Proverbs
17 “Verse
1. These words recommend family love
and peace, as needful for the comfort of human life. Verse
26. It is very wrong to find fault (proverbs 17:27-28) wise man,
by the good temper of his mind, and by the good government of his tongue. He is
careful when he does speak, to speak to the purpose. God knows his heart, and
the folly that is bound there; therefore he cannot be deceived in his judgment
as men may be.” - Matthew Henry
Concise
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining
me today as we prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Proverbs
Chapter
17. If you or your friends join the saints as we pray and
read God’s Word every day in just about three years you will have read every
word in God’s word. It only takes about
15 minutes a day and you will know exactly what God’s Word says. You will not need any man to tell you what
God has for and expects from mankind. It doesn’t matter which version of the bible
you read God’s Word from as long as you pray that God will grant you
understanding.
God’s love and wisdom are
demonstrated in our feast as we get advice from the book of Proverbs. “1 Better is a dry morsel with quiet than a house full of
feasting with strife. 28 Even a fool who
keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed
intelligent.” Proverbs 17:1;28
(English
Standard Version) ESV. Who is Jesus Christ, and what does he have to
do with us; “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made
through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was
life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and
the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1-5 ESV. Why do we lovingly and freely share God’s Word
without condemning anyone (see
1 John 3:16-18)? God’s love is
demonstrated in our love for others as well as each other: “Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in
my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth
will set you free.” John 8:31-32 ESV.
Don’t worry about the 10 Commandments, here the greatest commandment is summed
up by Jesus himself (see
Mark 12:30-31). Thank you
for reading today’s Feast, and if you are reading this online just click on any
of the links in this feast to see if I’m telling you the truth;
(Romans 8:1-4)about what God’s word
says.

“20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a
