Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Titus Chapter 2. & Chapter 3   Paul Encourages Titus to stick with (see Titus 2:1-8) sound doctrine and to remain obedient and faithful (see Titus 1:9-10) to those they (see Luke 16:12) serve. Paul declares that grace and salvation is God’s gift (See Titus 1:11-15) to all men who love Jesus and are called according to his purpose; “13 Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. 15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority.  Let no one disregard you.“   Titus 2:13-15  English Standard Versions (ESV).    He reminded them to be obedient doing every good work (see Titus 3:1-7) in the name of Jesus.  To avoid foolish controversy, quarrels and disagreements, (see Titus 3:8-11) moving on after they continue to reject the Word. Paul finishes the letter with expressions of the love, favor and grace of God; “14 And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful. 15 All who are with me send greetings to you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all.” Never worry about what to say or do in God’s service, study God’s Word (see John 14:26) the Holy Spirit will bring Jesus’ words to you as needed.   6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7 ESV. Pray that God’s will be done in your life (see Matthew 6:9-13) & ( Matthew 6:5) that you do everything is in God’s will.

Qualifications for Elders

Today’s Feast

May 4, 2014 – Titus 1
Qualifications for Elders

Gods Not Dead! Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,” 2 Timothy 4:3

Titus Overview; This epistle chiefly contains directions to Titus concerning the elders of the Church, and the manner in which he should give instruction; and the latter part tells him to urge obedience to magistrates, to enforce good works, avoid foolish questions, and shun heresies. The instructions the apostle gave are all plain and simple. The Christian religion was not formed to answer worldly or selfish views, but it is the wisdom of God and the power of God.” -  Matthew Henry Concise
Titus Chapter 1, “The apostle salutes Titus. (1-4) The qualifications of a faithful pastor. (5-9) The evil temper and practices of false teachers. (10-16)  -  Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Titus Chapter 1.   The letter of Paul to Titus begins with a greeting (see Titus 1:1-4) to raise up hope and faith.  Paul lays out the qualifications for the Elders (see Titus 1:5-9) to oversee the believers. Paul warns us against those who try to hold believers (See Titus 1:10-15) to the law rather than faith in Jesus; “15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.“   Titus 1:15-16  English Standard Versions (ESV).    We should avoid those who (see 1 Timothy 4:1-5) depend strictly on works rather than faith.  This world we now live in can only be saved by faith in God and the power of prayer and repentance; if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV.  Therefore when we hear someone complaining about the state of our world explain to them that God has given us a plan (see Ephesians 4:15) wherefore it can be saved.

Humble and Contrite in Spirit

Today’s Feast

May 3, 2014 – Isaiah 66
 Humble and Contrite in Spirit

Gods Not Dead! Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

“22 And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who sits upon it.” Romans 9:30

Isaiah Chapter 66, “God looks at the heart, and vengeance is threatened for guilt. (1-4) The increase of the church, when Jew and Gentile shall be gathered to the Redeemer. (5-14) Every enemy of the church shall be destroyed, and the final ruin of ungodly men shall be seen. (15-24)” -  Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading Isaiah Chapter 66.  God wants people who love and adore him, (see Psalm 34:18) the humble and repentant in spirit and those who fear Him.   The will hypocrites will be confused (see Isaiah 66:5-14) the humble will rejoice in the love of God.  Our God’s final judgment falls on the proud and haughty men; (see Isaiah 66:15-24) while we the contrite and faithful come home to be with God.22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain. 23 From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the Lord.  24 “And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”  Isaiah 66:22-24  ESV.  English Standard Versions (ESV).  The great and wonderful day of judgments (see Hebrews 10:36) will be a day of rejoicing for those who wait upon the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.  Romans 12:12 ESV.  The believers in the one God and with one mind (see Romans 15:6) give glory and honor to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Listen carefully! And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.  1 John 5:14-15   ESV.
