Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book
of Jeremiah Chapter
12. Jerimiah complains to God; righteous
are you, O Lord, when I complain to you. (see
Jeremiah
12:1-6) And God Answers
Jeremiah; reproving the prophet. Just as
in the days of Jerimiah; Many professing churches today are, preaching a mixture
of religion and the world. God will not
bless
(see
Jeremiah
12:7-13) vain fashions, worldly pursuits, and those who
contaminate His Word.
The prophet Jeremiah is saying that wicked worldly
people offend God (see
Jeremiah 11:18-23) even so if they will repent and accept Gods covenant He
will redeem them. “16 And it shall come to pass, if they
will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, ‘As
the Lord lives,’ even as they taught my people to swear by Baal, then they shall
be built up in the midst of my people. 17 But if
any nation will not listen, then I will utterly pluck it up and destroy it,
declares the Lord.”“ Jeremiah
12:16-17 English Standard Versions (ESV). Just as we read in God’s
word yesterday; “If we deny
Jesus; He will (see Matthew
10:33) deny
us. When we acknowledge Jesus and walk in His light
(see
Romans
8:28) all things will work together for our
good.” “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love
that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still
do.“ Hebrews 6:10
ESV. God knows how much you love Him
(see
Matthew
10:42) and how you strive to imitate
Jesus.
Do you hear Jesus
calling you? Do you want to know God’s
perfect will? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

“1 God is our refuge and
strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm

Jeremiah Chapter 11,
“The disobedient Jews
reproved. (1-10) Their utter
ruin. (11-17) The people would be
destroyed who sought the prophet's life. (18-23)” -
Matthew Henry Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we
prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter
11. God’s Word to Jeremiah.
Tell the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem;
(see
Jeremiah 11:1-10) they have conspired against
their God. God is bringing disaster on
them for making offerings to Baal. Therefor God will not hear (see Jeremiah 11:11-17) prayers made for them.
The prophet Jeremiah makes
reference to the Savior Jesus (see
Jeremiah
11:18-23) in words concerning his walk
with God. “21 Therefore thus says
the Lord concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek
your life, and say, “Do not prophesy in the name of the Lord, or you will die
by our hand”— 22 therefore
thus says the Lord of hosts: “Behold, I will punish them. The young men shall
die by the sword, their sons and their daughters shall die by famine, 23 and
none of them shall be left. For I will bring disaster upon the men of
Anathoth, the year of their punishment.”“ Jeremiah
11:21-23 English Standard Versions
(ESV). If we deny Jesus; He will (see
Matthew
10:33) deny us. When
we acknowledge Jesus and walk in His
light (see Romans
8:28) all things
will work together for our
good. “33Oh,
the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are
his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!“ Romans 11:33
ESV. In the day that we feel God is not to be found
(see
Hebrews
13:5) Jesus will still be there for us. All we have to do is (see
Revelation
3:20) reach out to
Jesus.
Is Jesus calling
you? Do you want to know God’s
love? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see;” Psalm

Jeremiah
Chapter 10,
“The
absurdity of idolatry. (1-16) Destruction denounced against Jerusalem. (17-25)” - Matthew Henry Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we
prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter
10. Jeremiah contrasts the glory of God
(see Jeremiah 10:1-16) versus the folly of manmade Idols. The Jews are content living in sin (see
Jeremiah 10:17-25) until the reality of the weight of
their sin comes to bear on them. “25 Pour out your wrath on the nations
that know you not, and on the peoples that call not on your name, for they have
devoured Jacob; they have devoured him and consumed him, and have laid waste his
habitation.“ Jeremiah
10:25 English Standard Versions (ESV). Those that trust and love God
(see Romans
8:28) will walk in
His light and be secure in their salvation.
“17 The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will
quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud
singing. “ Zephaniah 3:17
ESV. This is the day that the
Living God has made (see
Psalm
118:24) be glad and rejoice in
it.

Rejoice In God

“31 so
that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”” 1
Corinthians 1:31
Jeremiah
Chapter
9, “The people are corrected, Jerusalem is destroyed. (1-11) The captives suffer
in a foreign land.(12-22) God's
loving-kindness, He threatens the enemies of his people. (23-26)”
- Matthew Henry
Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book
of Jeremiah
Chapter 9. Jeremiah is weeping (see Jeremiah
9:1-11) because of the destruction of God’s people. Because they have forsaken God’s
law (see Jeremiah
9:12-22) God will punish and scatter His people. God tells the people not to boast in their
own understanding
(see Jeremiah
9:23-26) rather they should boast and
glorify in God. “25 “Behold,
the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will punish all those who are
circumcised merely in the flesh— 26 Egypt,
Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all who dwell in the desert who cut
the corners of their hair, for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the
house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.”“ Jeremiah 9:25-26 English Standard
Versions (ESV). There is no reason for
Christians to boast in their own understanding (see 1 Thessalonians
1:5) because they
gain understanding from the Holy Spirit.
“5
As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman
with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes
everything.“ Ecclesiastes 11:5
ESV.
Because we cannot know the mind of God
(see Proverbs
3:5-6) we lean on Jesus and the Holy Spirit for understanding
and delivery from sin. Let us give God
the glory (see
Romans
14:18) in every part of our
lives.
Listen! Can you hear Jesus
calling you? Do you want to know God’s
plan for your life? Do you want to find
true happiness, peace and purpose in your life?
