Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully
continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 43; “The leaders carry the people to
Egypt. (1-7) Jeremiah foretells the
conquest of Egypt. (8-13)
Verses
1-7 Only by pride comes contention, both with God and man. They
preferred their own wisdom to the revealed will of God. Men deny the Scriptures
to be the word of God, because they are resolved not to conform themselves to
Scripture rules. When men will persist in sin, they charge the best actions to
bad motives. These Jews deserted their own land, and threw themselves out of
God's protection. It is the folly of men, that they often ruin themselves by
wrong endeavours to mend their situation.
Verses
8-13 God can find his people wherever they are. The Spirit of prophecy
was not confined to the land of Israel. It is foretold that Nebuchadnezzar
should destroy and carry into captivity many of the Egyptians. Thus God makes
one wicked man, or wicked nation, a scourge and plague to another. He will
punish those who deceive his professing people, or tempt them to
rebellion.” - Matthew Henry Concise.
Jeremiah warns
the people to go to Egypt to live there (see
Jeremiah 43:1-7) they
were insolent and called him a liar and because of their unbelief they are sent
to Egypt. God will set one wicked nation (see
Jeremiah 43:8-13) over
another to accomplish His will; “12 I shall kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and
he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall clean the land of
Egypt as a shepherd cleans his cloak of vermin, and he shall go away from there
in peace. 13 He shall break the obelisks of Heliopolis, which is in the land of
Egypt, and the temples of the gods of Egypt he shall burn with
fire.’”” Jeremiah
43:12-13
English Standard Version (ESV). Jesus wants you and I to teach our children
the basis for our faith (see
Deuteronomy 4:9) to
raise them up to give glory to God. “4 Fathers, do not
provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and
instruction of the Lord.“ Ephesians 6:4 ESV.
Good parents will bring their children up secure (see
2 Timothy 3:15) in the
knowledge that Jesus is sent by God to deliver them from sin.
Teach them that Jesus (see
2 Timothy 1:5) is the most important legacy we have. Teach them about the good work God has
started in us (see
Philippians 1:6) and make sure they
understand Jesus will deliver them safely from destruction. Do not allow your child to be taken away to
serve any other god.
Do you hear Jesus
calling you? Are you ready to do what is
right? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

“23 for all
have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans
3:23
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our
Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 42; “Johanan desires Jeremiah to ask counsel of God. (1-6) They are assured of
safety in Judea, but of destruction in Egypt. (7-22)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Jeremiah is called upon by the remnant of
Judah to seek God’s will (see
Jeremiah 42:1-6) vowing
to do whatever God would answer. Jeremiah delivers God’s answer to them; (see
Jeremiah 42:7-22) they
are to stay put and be blessed. If they go to Egypt they
will be destroyed; “21 And I have this day declared it to you, but
you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord your God in anything that he sent me
to tell you. 22 Now therefore
know for a certainty that you shall die by the sword, by famine, and by
pestilence in the place where you desire to go to live.”” Jeremiah
42:21-22
English Standard Version (ESV). God is
not waiting for people to make a mistake (see Psalm 103:11) so He can beat
down on them. On the contrary God is
waiting on them to (see
Psalm 103:13) do what is
best for them. “4 Sing to God, sing
praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his
name is the Lord; exult before him! 5 Father of the
fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy
habitation.“ Psalm 68:4-5 ESV.
God sees all of the pain and suffering caused by disobedience (see
Psalm 10:14) and he sent
Jesus to redeem those who love His righteousness. We cherish the salvation brought to us by Jesus (see
1 Timothy 6:20) and we will
ignore the babble and contradictions of those who are full of their own
wisdom. Hold on to the good work God has
started in us (see Philippians 1:6) and
know that Jesus will deliver us safely from
destruction.

God’s Will Fulfilled

God’s
Will Fulfilled
Please join with
us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying

Dead!
“2 I cry out
to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.” Psalm
57:2
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully
continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 41; “Verses 1-10 Those who hate
the worshippers of God, often put on the appearance of piety, that they may the
easier hurt them. As death often meets men where they least expect it, we should
continually search whether we are in such a state and frame of mind, as we would
wish to be found in when called to appear before our Judge. Sometimes the ransom
of a man's life is his riches. But those who think to bribe death, saying, Slay
us not, for we have treasures in the field, will find themselves wretchedly
deceived. This melancholy history warns us, never to be secure in this world. We
never can be sure of peace on this side heaven.
Verses
11-18 The success of villany must be short, and none can prosper who
harden their hearts against God. And those justly lose comfort in real fears,
who excuse themselves in sin by pretended fears. The removal of a prudent and
peaceable ruler, and the succession of another who is rash and ambitious,
affects the welfare of many. Only those are happy and steady who fear the Lord
and walk in his ways.” - Matthew Henry Concise
God began a
judgment against these disobedient people (see
Jeremiah 41:1-10) and
what God starts will be completed. Many
times God uses the actions of foolhardy men (see
Jeremiah 41:11-18) to
accomplish His will; “17 And they went and stayed at Geruth Chimham
near Bethlehem, intending to go to Egypt 18 because of
the Chaldeans. For they were afraid of them, because Ishmael the son of
Nethaniah had struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon
had made governor over the land.”
Jeremiah
41:17-18
English Standard Version (ESV). When
God begins a good work (see
Philippians 1:6) He sees
it through to completion. “13 As a father shows
compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
“ Psalm 103:13 ESV.
The fear of God is (see
Psalm 111:10) is where
our wisdom begins. This is God’s will for us we shall set aside every sin
(see
Proverbs 22:6) so we can run the race to
completion. Then when our race is
finished our Lord Jesus will reward us (see Matthew 25:23
) for a job well
done.
Do you hear Jesus
calling you? Are you willing to do God’s
will? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

“3 You will
keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in
you.” Isaiah
26:3
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully
continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 40
.
“Jeremiah is directed to go to Gedaliah. (1-6) A conspiracy against
Gedaliah. (7-16)” - Matthew Henry Concise
Because Jeremiah,
loved and obeyed God the father he was blessed by God (see Jeremiah 40:1-6) during
and after the siege. God began a
judgment (see Jeremiah 40:7-16)
against disobedient people and it will be completed; “16 But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said to
Johanan the son of Kareah, “You shall not do this thing, for you are speaking
falsely of Ishmael.””
Jeremiah 40:16
English Standard Version (ESV). The
first commandment with a promise to obey your parents (see
Ephesians 6:1-3) and you will
receive God’s blessing. Our
righteousness is in Jesus and we must raise our children teaching them about our
loving father (see
Deuteronomy 6:6-9) then
they will partake of the righteousness of our Lord and Father. “24 The father of the
righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in
him.“ Proverbs 23:24 ESV.
The parent that says; “I won’t force or teach my religion on or to my children”
doesn’t love God (see
Deuteronomy 4:9) and
doesn’t love their children. As for you
and I Saints we shall raise or children (see
Proverbs 22:6) to love
and obey Jesus.
Is Jesus calling
you? Are you willing to do God’s
will? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

“19 Their end is
destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds
set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship
is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will
transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables
him even to
subject all things to himself.“ Philippians 3:19-21 ESV.
