who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it,
sins.”
James
4:17

Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our
Feast by reading the book of Lamentations Chapter 5; “A type of hair, showing the
judgments about to come upon the Jews. (1-4) These awful judgments
are declared. (5-17)“ -
Matthew Henry Concise.
The Lord God
tells Ezekiel to shave off his head and beard (see
Ezekiel 4:1-8) to
represent the judgments about to happen to .Jerusalem. I look at what is going on all over the world
today (see Psalm 4:2) and I wonder how long will God put up with this blatant sin.
The prophet announces that God is about
to unleash unpitied wrath (see
Ezekiel 5:5-17) upon the
unrepentant Jews; “17 I will send famine
and wild beasts against you, and they will rob you of your children. Pestilence
and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword upon you. I am
the Lord; I have spoken.” ” Ezekiel 5:17 English
Standard Version (ESV). God’s judgment will come on this unrepentant world
however; (see
Revelation 3:10) we’ll continue to share the love of Jesus;
“10 fear not, for I am
with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help
you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 ESV. We are reminded our God is not a God of fear;
to listen to the Holy Spirit (see 2 Timothy 1:6-8) and keep sharing the good news in the power and
name of Jesus. Remember Jesus (see
2 Corinthians 4:7-10) always as our
back!

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

“15 I do not understand what I do. For
what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.” Romans 7:15
Dear
Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Lamentations Chapter 4; “The
siege of Jerusalem. (1-8) The
famine the inhabitants would suffer. (9-17)“
- Matthew
Henry Concise.
Our actions speak louder than words (see
Ezekiel
4:1-8) God tells Ezekiel to act out the siege of Jerusalem. Believers are instructed to show (see
1
John 2:5) their intent by walking in brotherly love. Ezekiel’s
action (see Ezekiel
4:9-17) demonstrate the plight of the Israelites; “16 Moreover,
he said to me, “Son of man, behold, I will break the supply of
bread in Jerusalem. They shall eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and
they shall drink water by measure and in dismay. 17 I
will do this that they may lack bread and water, and look at one another
in dismay, and rot away because of their punishment. ” Ezekiel
4:16-17 English Standard Version (ESV). As
believers we are to look at Jesus’ example (see Hebrews
4:12) and be imitators of the Son of God. We must not be double
minded; “6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for
the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed
by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he
will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a
double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” Colossians 2:8-10 ESV. We can show them God’s perfect love for us
and them (see Matthew
5:16) by simply letting our light shine.

A
Watchman For God

“4 Jesus
answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word
that comes from the mouth of God.' "” Matthew
4:4
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our
Feast by reading the book of Lamentations Chapter 3;
“The
preparation of the prophet for his work. (1-11) His office, as that
of a watchman. (12-2) The restraining and
restoring his speech. (22-27)
Verses
1-11 Ezekiel was to receive the truths of God as the food for his
soul, and to feed upon them by faith, and he would be strengthened… Christ
promises to strengthen him. He must continue earnest in preaching, whatever the
success might be.
Verses
12-21 This mission made the holy angels rejoice. All this was to
convince Ezekiel, that the God who sent him had power to bear him out in his
work... Surely then the hearers of the gospel should desire warnings, and even
reproofs.
Verses
22-27 Let us own ourselves for ever indebted to the mediation of Christ,
for the blessed intercourse between God and man; and a true believer will say, I
am never less alone than when thus alone. When the Lord opened Ezekiel's mouth,
he was to deliver his message boldly, to place life and death, the blessing and
the curse, before the people, and leave them to their choice.“ - Matthew Henry Concise.
We share the Word
of God (see
Deuteronomy 8:3) as food
for the soul.. A properly nourished soul
(see
Romans 10:17) brings
faith to fruition. The faith we have in God’s Word
(see
James 2:20)
serves
to produce good works.
Like
Ezekiel
we
carry the Word of God and
it yields
God’s
purposes;
“27 But when I speak
with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the
Lord God.’ He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let
him refuse, for they are a rebellious house. ” Ezekiel 3:27 English
Standard Version (ESV). God’s Word is a two edged sword (see
Hebrews 4:12) that
separates what is bad away from what is good.
The Holy Spirit will bring to our remembrance all what we read in God’s
Word (see
John 14:26) when we need
to use it. “8 [The Righteous
Shall Live by Faith] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power
of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the
Greek.” Colossians 2:8-10
ESV. As watchmen
for God we can go forth with confidence in our faith; knowing that Jesus (see
Hebrews
13:5) will never leave or forsake us.

plan for your life? Do
you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life? If the answer is yes to any of these

“8 See to it that no one takes
you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition,
according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to
Christ. 9 For in him the
whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10 and you have
been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.”
Colossians 2:8-10
