A Funeral Song for Israel’s Leaders

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

8 If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord Romans 14:8

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 19; “A parable lamenting the ruin of Jehoahaz and Jehoiakim. (1-9) Another describing the desolation of the people. (10-14)“ - Matthew Henry Concise.
Ezekiel, is singing a funeral song for two of Israel’s leaders; (see Ezekiel 19:1-9) as the mother waited one died then the other.   Jerusalem was flourishing and fruitful (see Ezekiel 19:10-14) and she was plucked up and burned because her wickedness.  This Lamentation (funeral song) is sung with great sorrow; “13 Now it is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty land. 14 And fire has gone out from the stem of its shoots, has consumed its fruit, so that there remains in it no strong stem, no scepter for ruling. This is a lamentation and has become a lamentation.Ezekiel 19:13-14 English Standard Version (ESV).  The battle we fight to day (see Ephesians 6:12) is against the same wickedness found in Jerusalem.  We must be prepared to battle this wickedness; “13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, Ephesians 6:13-14 ESV. Standing in the power of Jesus our song will be a victory song (see 1 John 5:4) not a lamentation of great sorrow.

9 There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek,” Romans 2:9

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 18; “God has no respect of persons. (1-20) The Divine providence is vindicated. (21-29) A gracious invitation to repentance. (30-32)“ - Matthew Henry Concise.
The Word of the Lord came to Ezekiel; (see Ezekiel 18:1-20) God isn’t prejudice every person will reap their just rewards.   All persons who repent of their sinful ways and turn to God (see Ezekiel 18:21-29) will be forgiven because our God is Just.  God’s doesn’t want His people to die for their sins (see Ezekiel 18:30-32) so every person should turn to Him to be forgiven; “32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord GOD; so turn, and live."Ezekiel 18:32 English Standard Version (ESV).  We are forgiven (see 1 John 2:12) because we accepted God’s gift of life; “7 You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah. Psalm 32:7 ESV. Continue to trust in God in all your ways (see Proverbs 3:5-6) let all glory be given to God in the name of Jesus.

17 For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 17; “A parable relative to the Jewish nation. (1-10) to which an explanation is added. (11-21) A direct promise of the Messiah. (22-24)“ - Matthew Henry Concise.
Conquerors are often depicted as eagles as it is in this parable; (see Ezekiel 17:1-10) God uses their destructive actions to serve His purpose.   Zedekiah sinned by being ungrateful to God (see Ezekiel 17:11-21) so Israel met up with God’s righteous Judgment.  God’s parable is explained to the Israelites (see Ezekiel 17:22-24) by the Lord’s Prophet Ezekiel;  “24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I am the LORD; I bring low the high tree, and make high the low tree, dry up the green tree, and make the dry tree flourish. I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will do it."Ezekiel 17:24 English Standard Version (ESV).  You and I walked in the darkness of the world (see Ephesians 5:8) until we accepted God’s gift of salvation; “12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13 ESV. Ask yourselves; how do I glorify the Lord Jesus (see 2 Corinthians 5:20) am I truly His ambassador?   How would Jesus frame the parable (see Matthew 13:29-39) about my life, how would it be explained?
Is Jesus calling you?  Do you want to know Jesus and his plan for your life?   Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link; http://www.admenu.com/calling.htm

14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 ESV.
