“16 He said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."’ John 21:16

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of 1 Peter Chapter 4; “The consideration of Christ's sufferings is urged for purity and holiness. (1-6) And the approaching end of the Jewish state, as a reason for sobriety, watchfulness, and prayer. (7-11) Believers encouraged to rejoice and glory in reproaches and sufferings for Christ, and to commit their souls to the care of a faithful God. (12-19)
Chapter 5; Elders exhorted and encouraged. (1-4) Younger Christians are to submit to their elders, and to yield with humility and patience to God, and to be sober, watchful, and stedfast in faith. (5-9) Prayers for their growth and establishment. (10-14)“ - Matthew Henry Concise
Christ suffered here on earth; (see 1 Peter 4:1-11) so each of us must be ready to suffer as he did.  Use the gifts you received to serve one another and glorify Jesus.   Don’t be surprised or shocked when you are tested; (see 1 Peter 4:12-19) if we suffer while obeying God, we are and must keep on doing what is right.
This letter is to encourage us in love as we share Christ’s suffering (see 1 Peter 5:1-11) Jesus himself will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you in His work.    In conclusion, the apostle prays to God for them (see 1 Peter 5:12-14) reminding them how kind God really is; 14 Greet one another with the kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.1 Peter 5:14 English Standard Version (ESV).  I would remind you Saints the Word of God needs no extra books or organizations to clarify the Gospel for us; (see John 14:26) the Holy Spirit does that for us.   Depend only on God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit to guide us; 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground! Psalm 143:10 ESV.  Because Jesus loves us we will overcome all difficulties; (see Psalm 23:3 ) through the power of His might we are conquerors.  In all things we should pray (see Matthew 4:4) and depend on the Holy Spirit and Word of God for the sustenance of God’s flock.

“16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, Ephesians 3:16

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of 1 Peter Chapter 3; “The duties of wives and husbands. (1-7) Christians exhorted to agree. (8-13) And encouraged to patience under persecutions for righteousness' sake, considering that Christ suffered patiently. (14-22)“ - Matthew Henry Concise
Wives you will win him (your husband) over by what you do; (see 1 Peter 3:1-7) Husband be thoughtful of your wife treat her with honor.    Don’t be hateful and insult people who are hateful to you (see 1 Peter 3:8-13) do all the good you can, nobody can harm you for doing good deeds.  Don’t be afraid to do good things (see 1 Peter 3:14-22) for therein God will bless you; 21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him. 1 Peter 2:24-25 English Standard Version (ESV).  We know if you believe and are baptized you’ll be saved (see Mark 16:16) while those who don’t believe will die in their sins.   In all things concerning Jesus; 28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. Colossians 1:28 ESV. Because Jesus loves us we will overcome all difficulties; (see Romans 8:36-37) through the power of His might we are conquerors.  Therefore if we suffer for doing right (see 1 peter 3:17) we are better off than if we are suffer for doing evil.

“8 But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. Colossians 3:8

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of 1 Peter Chapter 2; “A temper suitable to the Christian character as born again, is recommended. (1-10) Holy conversation among the Gentiles directed. (11-12) Subjects exhorted to pay all proper obedience to their civil governors. (13-17) Also servants to their masters, and all to be patient, according to the example of the suffering Saviour. (18-25)“ - Matthew Henry Concise
Put away all sin, because Jesus is holy (see 1 Peter 2:1-12) let your conversation give glory to God.   Obey those appointed over you and always be respectful (see 1 Peter 2:13-17) honor everyone, Love the brethren, and fear God.  Follow the example of Jesus (see 1 Peter 2:18-25) as He suffered, He did not threaten; 24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.  1 Peter 2:24-25 English Standard Version (ESV).  Everything that Jesus suffered (see Matthew 8:17) was to fulfill prophesy because God loves us. 23 Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. John 14:23 ESV. There is no downside to loving Jesus (see John 14:21) and keeping his commandments.  Just as Jesus is the Living Stone (see 1 Peter 2:5) we strive to become Living Stones through Jesus.
