Daniel's Terrifying Vision of a Man

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

“4 But he answered, "It is written, "'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'”  Matthew 4:4

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of  Chapter 10; “Daniel's vision near the river Hiddekel. (1-9) He is to expect a discovery of future events. (10-21)
1-9. This chapter relates the beginning of Daniel's last vision, which is continued to the end of the book. The time would be long before all would be accomplished; and much of it is not yet fulfilled. Christ appeared to Daniel in a glorious form, and it should engage us to think highly and honourably of him. Let us admire his condescension for us and our salvation. There remained no strength in Daniel. The greatest and best of men cannot bear the full discoveries of the Divine glory; for no man can see it, and live; but glorified saints see Christ as he is, and can bear the sight. How dreadful soever Christ may appear to those under convictions of sin, there is enough in his word to quiet their spirits.
Verses 10-21 Whenever we enter into communion with God, it becomes us to have a due sense of the infinite distance between us and the holy God…  The angels are employed as God's ministering servants, ( Hebrews 1:14 )... …While Satan and his angels, and evil counsellors, excite princes to mischief against the church, we may rejoice that Christ our Prince, and all his mighty angels, act against our enemies; but we ought not to expect many to favour us in this evil world. Yet the whole counsel of God shall be established; and let each one pray, Lord Jesus, be our righteousness now, and thou wilt be our everlasting confidence, through life, in death, at the day of judgment, and for evermore.” - Matthew Henry Concise.
Today I’m departing from our daily format in order to share what and why The Feast is.
What is “The Feast”? The Feast is a daily study in God’s word. By reading a chapter a day (sometimes two) we go through every word in the bible in about three years. I send the Feast out usually seven days a week, sometimes the weekend Feast is for Friday Saturday and Sunday. We host a prayer list which we keep up on prayer every day. http://www.admenu.com/prayer.htm. We would count it a blessing if you asked us to pray for you!
You can always reach me by email at: mike@admenu.com  I don’t solicit money and I do accept prayer and prayerful correction. The Saints that subscribe to the Feast love to pray & they know how to be forgiving because some of them have been putting up with me for years.  We don’t promote any particular version of the bible because if you pray before you read the scripture the Holy Spirit will bless you with understanding.
Our Mission; Faith through the Word We know where faith comes from; "So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17. We also know that you need to belong to a fellowship lead by God. We are not trying to fill that need.  We just want to help with prayer when you need it and nourishment on a daily basis.  Our Bible reading plan, takes about 15 minutes a day.  We read every word in the Holy Bible in about three year cycles.

Daniel’s Prayer

“14 "But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”  Mark 13:14

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Daniel Chapter 9; “Daniel considers the time of the captivity. (1-3) His confession of sin, and prayer. (4-19) The revelation concerning the coming of the Messiah. (20-27)
Verses 1-3 Daniel learned from the books of the prophets, especially from Jeremiah, that the desolation of Jerusalem would continue seventy years, which were drawing to a close. God's promises are to encourage our prayers, not to make them needless; and when we see the performance of them approaching, we should more earnestly plead them with God.
Verses 4-19 In every prayer we must make confession, not only of the sins we have been guilty of, but of our faith in God, and dependence upon him, our sorrow for sin, and our resolutions against it… The humble, fervent, believing earnestness of this prayer should ever be followed by us.
Verses 20-27 An answer was immediately sent to Daniel's prayer, and it is a very memorable one… This seals the sum of prophecy, and confirms the covenant with many; and while we rejoice in the blessings of salvation, we should remember what they cost the Redeemer. How can those escape who neglect so great salvation!.” - Matthew Henry Concise
Gabriel tells Daniel the Chosen Leader will be broken and killed (see Daniel 9:20-27) then a foreign rulers army will leave the city and the temple in ruins; 26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed. 27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator."Daniel 9:26-27 English Standard Versions (ESV).  The Holy Spirit still speaks to believers today (see John 14:26) through God’s Word and our conscience. We are to walk in love and imitate Jesus as we carry the good news; 1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Ephesians 5:1 ESV. We must turn away from sinful talk (see 1 Timothy 1:19) and keep faith in Jesus with a good conscience.  No matter where or how you serve our Lord (see 1 Corinthians 13:1) we must do so in love with a good conscience.  Keep prayerfully reading God’s Word as often as you can (see Romans 10:17) because this is how we grow stronger in our faith.

“6 And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!"”  Revelation 6:6

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Daniel Chapter 8; “Daniel's vision of the ram and the he-goat. (1-14) The interpretation of it. (15-27)

Verses 1-14 God gives Daniel a foresight of the destruction of other kingdoms, which in their day were as powerful as that of Babylon... Christ died to cleanse his church; and he will so cleanse it as to present it blameless to himself.
Verses 15-27 The eternal Son of God stood before the prophet in the appearance of a man, and directed the angel Gabriel to explain the vision…  Thus should we endeavour to compose our minds for attending to the duties to which each is appointed, in the church and in the world.” - Matthew Henry Concise
Daniels vision troubled him (see Daniel 8:15-27) and one like the Son of God sent an angel to explain it to him; 26 The vision of the evenings and the mornings that has been told is true, but seal up the vision, for it refers to many days from now." 27 And I, Daniel, was overcome and lay sick for some days. Then I rose and went about the king's business, but I was appalled by the vision and did not understand it.Daniel 8:26-27 English Standard Versions (ESV).  We cannot let sin be our master; (see Romans 6:13-14) because we are serving Jesus. 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. James 3:13 ESV. We must turn away from sinful acts (see James 1:21) and Instead be a humble servant of Christ.  Remain faithful in your service to Jesus (see James 1:21) or else your faith in Christ will be in vain.  If you are perplexed about anything prayerfully turn to the Word of God (see John 14:26) and ask the Holy Spirit for understanding.
Can you hear Jesus calling you? Are you ready to meet Him? Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link; admenu.com/calling.htm
