Today’s Feast
Let
Us Find Favor!
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“13
And the second time Joseph was made known to his brothers, and
Joseph's family became known to the Pharaoh."
Acts
7:13
New
King James Version (NKJV).
Dear
Saints,
As
we continue our Feast by reading the book of Genesis
Chapter
47;
“Joseph
presents his brethren to Pharaoh. (1-6)
Jacob blesses Pharaoh. (7-12)
Joseph's dealings with the Egyptians during the famine. (13-26)
Jacob's age. His desire to be buried in Canaan. (27-31)“
-
Matthew
Henry Concise
As
we continue reading
in
Genesis
47,
we
see
Israel (Jacob) & all of Egypt dealing in faith with Joseph.
Why did they have faith in a man? Joseph was true to God
concerning everything in his life. If you say you love the Lord
(see
Matthew
5:13-16 )
and
have made him Lord of your life, then all the eyes of those around
you will watch to see how you live. ”23
Then Joseph said to the people, "Indeed I have bought you and
your land this day for Pharaoh. Look, here is seed for you, and
you shall sow the land. 24 And it shall come to pass in the
harvest that you shall give one-fifth to Pharaoh. Four-fifths
shall be your own, as seed for the field and for your food, for
those of your households and as food for your little ones."
25 So they said, "You have saved our lives; let us find favor
in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's servants."’”
Genesis
47:23-25
NKJV.
We
see Joseph doing just what God tells him to do. Now that brings me
to issue number one more
time;
“Salvation”! If we
are obedient to God we
will (see
John
8:12)
see
the Light grow brighter again in our lives.
Then our very life will be a witness for Jesus and
in Him we will find favor; “[I
Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life] “14
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe
also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were
not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and
receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
John
14:1-3
NKJV
Do
you know that you are made in the image of God? You are an eternal
being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with
God? To be sure turn from sin just say this simple prayer; “Dear
God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus
Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing
to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and
life as my personal Saviour.“ If you said this prayer inviting
Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship
just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of
believers) that strive to measures up to God’s Word. You need a
Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray
with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints
that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we
repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus.

Why Trust & Obey God?

“45
that
you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun
rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and
on the unjust."
Matthew
5:45
New
King James Version (NKJV).
Dear
Saints,
As
we continue
our Feast by reading the book of Genesis
Chapter
46;
“God's
promises to Jacob. (1-4)
Jacob and his family go to Egypt. (5-27)
Joseph meets his father and his brethren. (28-34)“
-
Matthew
Henry Concise
As
we continue our Feast in
Genesis
46,
we
see
Israel
(Jacob) dealing with God concerning the journey to Egypt. ”3
So He said, "I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to
go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. 4 I
will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you
up again; and Joseph will put his hand on your eyes."’”
Genesis
46:3-4
NKJV.
We
see Israel doing just what God tells him to do. Now that brings me
to issue number one “Salvation”! Remember God sent Jesus (see
John
3:16)
to
die for us while we were still sinners. So confess your sin and
ask God forgiveness. As
we
trust
and obey
God
(see
Romans
8:28)
we
will see the Light grow brighter in our life. Trust
and obey Jesus;
and He will lighten your burden; “28
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest.”
Matthew
11:28
NKJV
Salvation
is at hand, If you want to be saved and turn away from sin just
say this simple prayer; “Dear
God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus
Christ shed His precious
blood and
died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite
Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour.“
