(1-21) The sacrifice for the sin of ignorance. (22-29) The punishment of presumption The sabbath-breaker stoned. (30-36) The law for fringes on garment. (37-41)" - Matthew Henry Concise. Today’s Feast points out the seriousness of intentionally sining; “30 " 'But113 I hate the double-minded, But I love Your law. anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes the LORD, and that person must be cut off from his people. 31 Because he has despised the LORD's word and broken his commands, that person must surely be cut off; his guilt remains on him.' "” Numbers 13:30-33, NKJV. God's Word says there is no longer a sacrifice if we sin intentionally. ““26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,” Hebrews 10:26 NKJV. Sin cannot be excused by changing the law or forcing the population to not read out loud the verses that point out sin; “24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,” 1 John 5:14-15 NKJV. Don't think you can just turn a blind eye to sin and be forgiven; “32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” Romans 1:32 NKJV. So do we despise those who knowingly continue in sin? NO! Our Lord is not willing that anyone should die in their sin; “9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9, NKJV. We share the Word with every person, not counting one sin greater or lessor than another; “23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 , NKJV. Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Numbers Chapter 14; “The people murmur at the account of the spies. (1-4) Joshua and Caleb labour to still the people. (5-10) The Divine threatenings, The intercession of Moses. (11-19) The murmurers forbidden to enter the promised land. (20-35) Death of the evil spies. (36-39) Defeat of the people, who now would invade the land. (40-45)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Our awesome God provided for all of His people as they followed him in the wilderness. And in turn they gave Moses a false report about the land they spied out. Now they are warned not to go forth to conquer because now God is not with them, because of their lies and grumbling; “42 Do not go up, lest you be defeated by your enemies, for the Lord is not among you. 43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and you shall fall by the sword; because you have turned away from the Lord, the Lord will not be with you."” Numbers 14:42-43 NKJV. They ignored God and went forth anyway; probably reasoning that God was a good God. They thought being a good God would not let them be defeated. However because God is good and always true to His Word they got stomped; “45 Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites who dwelt in that mountain came down and attacked them, and drove them back as far as Hormah.” Numbers 14:45 NKJV. Saint pay attention God is fair and He will give you your just reward; even if you constantly grumble about the government, your job, your spouse, etc. God will not honor your prayers if you spend your time scoffing and complaining instead of bringing your concerns to Him in prayers and thanksgiving. God's Word tells us how to be successful in every area of our lives. “29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."“ Matthew 11:29-30 NKJV. See the Lord is not slack concerning His promises! Do you think the country is falling apart? God tells us what to do if we want our country to return to its former glory; “14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV. God is not willing for anyone to perish in sin; “9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV. In every instance of our walk with Jesus God's Word tells us (Acts 20:35) how to succeed; “28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NKJV.
