Today's Feast
No
One Has To Perish?
“14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
2
Corinthians 13:14

Please

fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue
the Feast in Joshua, Chapter
17;
“The
lot of Manasseh. (1-6)
The boundaries of Manasseh, The Canaanites not driven out. (7-13)
Joseph desires a larger portion. (14-18)”
-
Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today
we see the allotment of the lands as they were allotted to the
people, were not enough for the house of Joseph. God is giving
each tribe their allotment. Our God is awesome and fair, because
of the population God gave the house of Joseph another allotment.
“17
Then Joshua said to the house of Joseph, to Ephraim and Manasseh,
“You are a numerous people and have great power. You shall not
have one allotment only, 18 but the hill country shall be yours,
for though it is a forest, you shall clear it and possess it to
its farthest borders. For you shall drive out the Canaanites,
though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong.””
Joshua
17:17-18,
ESV. God gave them another allotment however they had to take it.
By the same token God has given his son Jesus to ransom the
children of Israel as well as the children of Abraham. The
conditions remain the same. God doesn’t force salvation on
anyone. It is up to every child of God to reach out and take the
gift of salvation. “Behold,
I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens
the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
Revelation
3:20,
ESV. God gave his only begotten son so that no one would have to
perish. He is not willing that any should perish. It’s not God’s
will that any should perish. “16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that
whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the
world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.“
John
3:16-17,
ESV. It is truly God’s will that you reach out and take this
gift. That’s the only way we gain a personal relationship with
Jesus. It is sad to say that if anyone is to perish it is because
of unbelief. “6
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is
forgotten before God. 7 Why, even the hairs of your head are all
numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
Luke
12:6-7,
ESV.
It’s
each persons choice to keep the first thing first. That is
salvation through the blood of Jesus.
I
send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is
willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

That Lucky Duck!
Today's Feast
That
Lucky Duck!
““Be
glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he
has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down
for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before.”

Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue
the Feast in Joshua, Chapter
16;
“The
sons of Joseph.
-
This and the following chapter should not be separated. They give
the lots of Ephraim and Manasseh, the children of Joseph, who,
next to Judah, were to have the post of honour, and therefore had
the first and best portion in the northern part of Canaan, as
Judah in the southern part. God's people now, as of old, suffer
his enemies to remain. Blessed Lord, when will all ( 1
Corinthians. 15:26 )
thou alone canst do it. These settled boundaries may remind us,
that our situation and provision in this life, as well as our
future inheritance, are appointed by the only wise and righteous
God, and we should be content with our portion, since he knows
what is best for us, and all we have is more than we deserve.”
-
Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today
we see the boundaries of the lands as they were allotted to the
people of Joseph. God is giving each tribe their allotment. “The
allotment of the people of Joseph went from the Jordan by Jericho,
east of the waters of Jericho, into the wilderness, going up from
Jericho into the hill country to Bethel. 2 Then going from Bethel
to Luz, it passes along to Ataroth, the territory of the Archites.
3 Then it goes down westward to the territory of the Japhletites,
as far as the territory of Lower Beth-horon, then to Gezer, and it
ends at the sea.”
Joshua
16:1-3,
ESV. Do you think that the tribes are content with their
allotment. Are their neighbors truly happy for them? When we can
be truly content in our life, then we can truly happy for our
brother. We get a peak early in the creation at the pain Satan can
inflict when a person is not content with God’s blessings in
their life. Because Cain did not do well with his offering to God,
he couldn’t be happy for Abel when God accepted his offering. “5
but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very
angry, and his face fell. 6 The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you
angry, and why has your face fallen? 7 If you do well, will you
not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at
the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.””
Genesis
4:5-7,
ESV. Cain failed in his attempt to please God. He could have made
it right and been content in his relationship with God. We see
what happened because he didn’t do well he killed his brother.
Have you ever had a friend or relative get a good gift? Look
inside of yourself and see if you were truly happy for them. It’s
in our nature to say that’s great, while inside we think to
ourselves; “That lucky duck, that should have been me!”
Saint’s what we need to do strive to please God. When we are
content in our relationship with Jesus, then we can be truly happy
when others receive a blessing. The apostle Paul, whose, example
we need to follow said it well. “10
I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived
your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had
no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I
have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know
how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every
circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and
hunger, abundance and need.“
Philippians
4:10-12,
ESV.
This came from his heart, he learned to be content no matter what
his physical situation was. That’s because his relationship with
Jesus was spot on! Take your relationship with Jesus all the way
to the top. “For
the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with
salvation.”
Psalm
149:4,
ESV.
We
are continuing to keep the first thing first. That is salvation
through the blood of Jesus.
I
send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is
willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
