Today’s FeastNov. 2, 2015 – John 14Who Is Christ Jesus?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“9
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a
people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the
excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his
marvelous light."
1
Peter 2:9,
English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John
Chapter14;
“Christ
comforts his disciples. (1-11)
He further comforts his disciples. (12-17)
He still further comforts his disciples. (18-31)”
- Matthew
Henry Concise.
Who
is it we are following? Why do we follow Him? What are we worried
about? “1
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also
in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so,
would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will
take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you
know the way to where I am going.””
John
14:1-4,
ESV. The Saints know who Jesus is. They know he went to be with
God the Father. He prepared a way for us and He prepares
accommodations in heaven with Him. So who is this Savior, the son
of God, the king, that He has the authority to forgive all sin?
When we started our study or Feast in the book of John; Jesus told
us who he was; “1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things
were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that
was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not
overcome it.” John
14:1-5,
ESV. We Feast on his Word daily. The Word of God declares He is
God’s Son the one and only way to salvation. “6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known
me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know
him and have seen him.””
John
14 5:6-7,
ESV. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit bares
witness to Jesus’ deity. “15
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will
ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with
you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot
receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him,
for he dwells with you and will be in you”
John
14:15-17,
ESV. Jesus we thank you for opening our eyes to your true
identity. Let’s continue to pray that God’s will is done here
on earth as it is in heaven. We have no need to wonder who Christ
Jesus is because we have his Word. Continue to share God’s love
with our neighbors, as we wait for His return. “25
“These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my
name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance
all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I
give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your
hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John
14:25-27,
ESV. Please continue to keep the first thing first! That is
salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. ““Be
glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God, for he
has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down
for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before.”
Joel
2:23,
ESV. Let’s continue to walk in and share His love.
Don’t
get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus
sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and
accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the
angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
Matthew
24:36,
ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not
wait while you try to change anything. Click this link for more

Love Once Again?
Today’s FeastNov. 1, 2015 – John 13Love Once again?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“18
having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what
is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his
glorious inheritance in the saints,"
Ephesians
1:18,
English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John
Chapter13;
“Christ
washes the disciples' feet. (1-17)
The treachery of Judas foretold. (18-30)
Christ commands the disciples to love one another. (31-38)”
- Matthew
Henry Concise.
Jesus
set’s an example for us in how we treat our relationship with
one another. I know I say this a lot but it is very important that
every saint knows this commandment. “34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just
as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this
all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love
for one another.””
John
13:34-35,
ESV. This is important in our relationship with each other as well
as our relationship with God. In
today’s Feast I’ll
repeat what I said
before; ““1
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love,
I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic
powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I
have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am
nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body
to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not
arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not
irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but
rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all
things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
1
Corinthians 1:1-7,
ESV, Some might think it redundant but I say it is important that
each of us understands what God expects. The Way of Love. By love
they shall know that Jesus has sent us. He sends us to share his
love for God’s creation. God says he loves the sinner so much
that he sent his only begotten son, Jesus to pay the price for our
sin. Again I’ll say; “God’s commandments doesn’t save us
from sin. Rather they point out our sin. The most important
commandment of all testifies of a loving relationship with him. In
it he also expects us to share that love in our relationship with
our neighbors. “36
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And
he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart and with
all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and
first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your
neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the
Law and the Prophets.””
Matthew
22:36-40,
ESV. Every aspect of our life should reflect our loving
relationship with Jesus. Even our conversation which springs from
our very thoughts should glorify God. “29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as
is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give
grace to those who hear.”
Ephesians
4:29,
ESV. Please continue to keep the first thing first! That is
salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. Let’s continue
to walk in and share His love.
