Dec. 17, 2015 – II Samuel 3

Where Does God Abide?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:20-21, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel
Chapter 3; “David's power increases His family. (1-6) Abner revolts to David. (7-21) Joab kills Abner David mourns for him.(22-39)” -Matthew Henry Concise.

During war the between the house of Saul and the house of David’s family increases and he grew stronger in power. Abner visits David at Hebron to gather information to aid in revolting against David. Joab Murders Abner and David mourned for him; “33 And the king lamented for Abner, saying, "Should Abner die as a fool dies?
34 Your hands were not bound; your feet were not fettered; as one falls before the wicked you have fallen." And all the people wept again over him. 2 Samuel 3:33-34, ESV. God is always with us; no matter where we are or who has been appointed over us, we can always thank God for His joy. “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”Hebrews 13:5, ESV. Let’s keep God in charge of every area of our lives. Keep the first thing first that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html.  Prayer request or Praise reports can be sent to brother Mike at;  mike@admenu.com

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information;  admenu.com/calling.htm .

Our Feast In God’s Word 2015

Today’s Feast

Dec. 15, 2015 – II Samuel 1

Our Feast In God’s Word 2015

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

30 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:30-33, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully and faithfully continue the Feast in 2 Samuel Chapter 1; “This book is the history of the reign of king David. It relates his victories, the growth of the prosperity of Israel, and his reformation of the state of religion. With these events are recorded the grievous sins he committed, and the family as well as public troubles with which he was punished. We here meet with many things worthy of imitation, and many that are written for our warning. The history of king David is given in Scripture with much faithfulness, and from it he appears, to those who fairly balance his many virtues and excellent qualities against his faults, to have been a great and good man.
Tidings brought to David of the death of Saul. (1-10) The Amalekite is put to death. (11-16) David's lamentation for Saul and Jonathan. (17-27)”  - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2nd Samuel 1. Today not only do we start 2nd Samuel, we change coarse a bit to explain this ministry. The Feast started as and still is an easy prayerful read through God’s Word. It takes about fifteen minutes a day to pray and read a chapter a day with us.  We go through every word in God’s Word in about every three years.  As you know I do not accept monetary donations, God continues to provide. I thank God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit  and you the Saints for sharing this ministry with me. I still accept prayer as well as maintain a prayer list for your praise and prayer requests.
We do well to keep the first thing first, that is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. “16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.John 3:16, ESV.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

A Unique Fellowship With God?

Today’s Feast

Dec. 14, 2015 – I Samuel 31

A Unique Fellowship With God?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” Luke 1:26-28, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully and faithfully continue the Feast in 1 Samuel Chapter 31; “Saul's defeat and death. (1-7) Saul's body rescued by the men of Jabesh-gilead. (8-13)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Here we see Saul’s defeat and self-destruction. We cannot make spiritual decisions about Saul’s choice. The same for us; our salvation is between us and God. Saul’s body and those of his sons were retrieved by the men of Jabesh-gilead. They burned their bodies and buried their bones. Then they fasted because they honored God’s chosen leader. “The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa. So they cut off his head and stripped off his armor and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines, to carry the good news to the house of their idols and to the people.10 They put his armor in the temple of Ashtaroth, and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth-shan. 11 But when the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul, 12 all the valiant men arose and went all night and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth-shan, and they came to Jabesh and burned them there. 13 And they took their bones and buried them under the tamarisk tree in Jabesh and fasted seven days.I Samuel 31:11-13, ESV. When a man accepts the Lord and turns his life over to Jesus, he begins a unique fellowship with God. You may know him by his fruit but, not by the relationship God has forged with him. When you think a believer is going off the right track with God, pray for him. We are not to rebuke or objurgate or be chin-wagging against them. See; 1 Thessalonians 4:6, Matthew 18:2, Deuteronomy 19:15. We do well to keep the first thing first, salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. “18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,Ephesians 1:18, ESV.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

How Do We Approach Sinners?

Today’s Feast

Dec. 13, 2015 – I Samuel 30

How Do We Approach Sinners?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

4 When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.
5 "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:
6 " 'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.' "
Matthew 2:4-6, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully and faithfully continue the Feast in 1 Samuel Chapter 30; “Ziklag spoiled by the Amalekites. (1-6) David overtakes the Amalekites. (7-15) He recovers what had been lost.(16-20) David's distribution of the spoil. (21-31)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David’s men begin to murmur against him because Ziklag has been spoiled by the Amalekites. David drew strength from the Lord God, God tells him to pursue the Amalekites. When David overtakes the Amalekites and he decimates them. God restores all that had been lost to David and his men. David’s distribution of the spoil includes gifts to the elders of Judah. “26 When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, “Here is a present for you from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord.” 27 It was for those in Bethel, in Ramoth of the Negeb, in Jattir, 28 inAroer, in Siphmoth, in Eshtemoa, 29 in Racal, in the cities of the Jerahmeelites, in the cities of the Kenites, 30 in Hormah, in Bor-ashan, in Athach, 31 in Hebron, for all the places where David and his men had roamed.” 1 Samuel 30:26-31, ESV. Because God restored everything to David, he was careful to restore everything to his people.  We must always be aware of those who surround us. Approach sinners earnestly to win them over to our God filled life.Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.1 Peter 5:8-9, ESV.  Being aware that we to were once lost in sin. We can keep the first thing first, salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
