Good To Be A Man Forgiven!

Today’s Feast

Jan. 03, 2016 – II Samuel 20

Good To Be A Man Forgiven!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, Titus 2:11-12, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 20; “Sheba's rebellion. (1-3) Amasa slain by Joab. (4-13) Sheba takes refuge in Abel. (14-22) David's officers. (23-26)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David suffers one trial after another, in today’s scripture it is Sheba’s rebellion. Joab killed Amasa, more for personal vengeance than anything else. Sheba’s head was delivered to Joab, by a wise citizen of Abel. David’s officers; “23 Now Joab was in command of all the army of Israel; and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was in command of the Cherethites and the Pelethites; 24 and Adoram was in charge of the forced labor; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was the recorder; 25 and Sheva was secretary; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests; 26 and Ira the Jairite was also David’s priest. 2 Samuel 20:23-26, ESV. God loved David, yet his sin seemed to continue, causing much mayhem. God said that David was a man after His own heart, but the sin was still like cancer. It’s good to be a man and better to be forgiven. Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “4 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in every way you were enriched in him in allspeech and all knowledge—1 Corinthians 1:4-5, ESV If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information;  admenu.com/calling.htm .

Approach Our Lord With?

Today’s Feast

Jan. 02, 2016 – II Samuel 19

Approach Our Lord With?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel 2 Samuel 19; “Joab causes David to cease mourning. (1-8) David returns to Jordan. (9-15) He pardons Shimei. (16-23)Mephibosheth excused. (24-30) David's parting with Barzillai. (31-39) Israel quarrels with Judah. (40-43)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David is at the gate in mourning when Joab causes David to cease mourning. David returns to Jordan not to take Israel by force, but by invitation of God’s people. Like a model for Jesus he forgives his enemy, Shimei and he excuses Mephibosheth. David’s parting with Barzillai is accompanied with a generous offer. Barzillai graciously turns the king’s offer down because of his age. Israel quarrels with Judah. “41 Then all the men of Israel came to the king and said to the king, “Why have our brothers the men of Judah stolen you away and brought the king and his household over the Jordan, and all David’s men with him?” 42 All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is our close relative. Why then are you angry over this matter? Have we eaten at all at the king’s expense? Or has he given us any gift?” 43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, “We have ten shares in the king, and in David also we have more than you. Why then did you despise us? Were we not the first to speak of bringing back our king?” But the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.2 Samuel 19:41-43, ESV. It is far better to forgive those who have offended you than to provoke them to anger. Didn’t Jesus teach us when he said;”…and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. …For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you”. Follow David’s example and Jesus Word by forgiving your enemies and those who are indebted to you. Continue keeping the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “[Let Us Sing Songs of Praise] Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!Psalm 95:1-2, ESV. Approach our Lord with praise and thanksgiving. Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Jan. 01, 2016 – II Samuel 18 Jesus Lord of All In 2016!

Happy New Year Feast

Jan. 01, 2016 – II Samuel 18

Jesus Lord of All In 2016!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 18; “Absalom's army defeated. (1-8) He is slain. (9-18) David's over-sorrow. (19-33) - Matthew Henry Concise.

David stood at the side of the gate, while his men defeated Absalom’s army. King David’s son is slain, by Joab and his armor-bearers. Though God gave him victory in battle, because of his sin, David’s wrought with sorrow over the death of Absalom. “32 The king said to the Cushite, “Is it well with the young man Absalom?” And the Cushite answered, “May the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise up against you for evil be like that young man.” 33 And the king was deeply moved and went up to the chamber over the gate and wept. And as he went, he said, “O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! Would I had died instead of you, O Absalom, my son, my son!”2 Samuel 18:32-33, ESV. Sin really is like cancer, in that the destruction comes back to persons unexpectedly at diverse times. Though David is king serving under God’s protection, his sin has caused him to be disciplined for not raising Absalom, with a godly upbringing.  Jesus is our leader, we need to raise our children, to live and treat others with that in mind.. Continue to follow Jesus, keeping the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “[Book One The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked] Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.Psalm 1:1-2, ESV. As you serve God avoid sin, making Jesus Lord of your life. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

All Relationships Count!

Today’s Feast

Dec. 31, 2015 – II Samuel 17

All Relationships Count!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:16, 18-19, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 17; “Ahithophel's counsel overthrown. (1-21) He hangs himself, Absalom pursues David. (22-29)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Hushai tells to Absalom that Ahithophel’s advice is bad, so Ahithophel’s counsel overthrown. Ahithophel hanged himself because his counsel was not followed. Then he hangs himself, Absalom pursues David. “27 When David came to Mahanaim, Shobi son of Nahash from Rabbah of the Ammonites, and Makir son of Ammiel from Lo Debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim 28 brought bedding and bowls and articles of pottery. They also brought wheat and barley, flour and roasted grain, beans and lentils, 29 honey and curds, sheep, and cheese from cows’ milk for David and his people to eat. For they said, “The people have become hungry and tired and thirsty in the desert.”2 Samuel 17:27-29, ESV. Once again I would say it is better to keep your eyes on Jesus rather than men. Even if a profit has a word for you, hold the profits word up to God’s Word, to see if they line up. If they don’t, then you should follow God’s Word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.John 1:1-5, ESV. Saints we are followers of God, not men, no matter what their position. Give the authorities the respect their position requires, always keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.John 17:17, ESV. Allow God to be your guide in this life, make all of your relationships count. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
