Not To Punish The Killers?
Please join
with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day
praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
“[ The Truth Will Set You Free ] So Jesus said to
the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my
disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” John 8:31-32, English
Standard Version (ESV)
.
Dear Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in
Acts Chapter 7; “Stephen's defence. (1-50) Stephen
reproves the Jews for the death of Christ. (51-53) The
martyrdom of Stephen.(54-60)”
- Matthew Henry Concise.
Stephen’s
is accused of blasphemy in his defense; he speaks using God’s own word.
Stephen reminds the Jews of their part in the death of Christ. Then as he
sees the heavens open and Jesus seated at the right hand of God, Stephen,
asks the Lord to forgive the very people who were stoning him. ”54
Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their
teeth at him. 55 But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw
the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 And he
said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the
right hand of God.” 57 But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their
ears and rushed together at him. 58 Then they cast him out of the city and
stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young
man named Saul. 59 And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord
Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 And falling to his knees he cried out with a
loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said
this, he fell asleep.” Acts
7:54-60, ESV. Look
at Stephen being stoned and yet has the soundness of mind to ask God not to
punish the people killing him. No one could do this without the peace of the
Holy Spirit resting on them. He
is a man dying yet sharing God’s love and his faith in Jesus! “[The
Supremacy of God’s Son] Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke
to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by
his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created
the world.” Hebrews
1:1-2, ESV. This is what we all want that peace that passes understanding
means! That peace that can only come from the Holy Spirit. This is going to
help us, keep the first thing first,
that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Being filled with the Holy Spirit,
even in desperate or perfect circumstances, he will give us the words to
share his love. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post
the Feast again tomorrow
You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html. Prayer request or Praise reports can be

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed
his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will
come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and
hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father
only.” Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our
relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change
anything. Click this link for more

What Path Will We Choose?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about

“If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his
brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him:
whoever loves God must also love his brother.” 1 John
4:20-21, English
Standard Version (ESV)
.
Dear Saints,
Thank you for
joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 6; “The appointment of
deacons. (1-7) Stephen falsely accused of blasphemy. (8-15)”
- Matthew Henry Concise.
Some of the widows were not
being properly taken care of; this led to appointment of deacons. One of the
new deacons Stephen is falsely accused of blasphemy. ”12 And they stirred up the people and the elders and the
scribes, and they came upon him and seized him and brought him before the
council, 13 and they set up false witnesses who said, “This man never ceases
to speak words against this holy place and the law, 14 for we have heard him
say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the
customs that Moses delivered to us.” 15 And gazing at him, all who sat in the
council saw that his face was like the face of an angel.” Acts
6:12-15, ESV. Look at Stephen a man of good report chosen to to be a deacon.
He loved the Lord and continued to praise and witness about the miracle of
Jesus as he carried out his ministry. He is a man sharing God’s love and his faith in Jesus! “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God… 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen
his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John
1:1-2, 14, ESV. Stephen chose a good thing, giving up what he couldn’t
keep for that which he could not lose. This is a path that we all should
choose. That being said, keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our
Lord Jesus Christ.” God will
truly bless you as you share his love. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and
post the Feast again tomorrow

Christianity Is Of God!
Today’s Feast

Jan. 13,
2016 – Acts 5
Christianity Is Of God!
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We
will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in
God’s Word in approximately three years.
“that is, in Christ
God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses
against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore,
we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore
you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” 2
Corinthians 5:19-20, English Standard Version (ESV)
.
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 5; “The death of Ananias and Sapphira. (1-11) The
power which accompanied the preaching of the gospel. (12-16)The
apostles imprisoned, but set free by an angel. (17-25) The
apostles testify to Christ before the council. (26-33) The
advice of Gamaliel, The council let the apostles go. (34-42)”
- Matthew Henry Concise.
Ananias
and Sapphira, sold some land and it belonged to them. They wanted to look
good so they contrived to give less than they sold it for implying, that they
were giving all to God. They were lying to God and therefore they died. Many
conversions and healing showed the power which went hand in hand with the
preaching of the gospel. The priests were, jealous and afraid, that everyone
was going to convert, so they had apostles imprisoned. Once again God
intervened and they were set free by an angel. The apostles testify to Christ
before the council. The advice of Gamaliel was that if the works they were
doing were not of God they would fail anyway. The council, afraid of God and
the people let the apostles go. “38 So in the present case I
tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or
this undertaking is of man, it will fail; 39 but if it is of God, you will
not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” So they
took his advice, 40 and when they had called in the apostles, they beat them
and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. 41 Then
they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted
worthy to suffer dishonor for the name. 42 And every day, in the temple and
from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the
Christ is Jesus.” Acts
5:38-42, ESV. The decision to omit the truth caused Ananias and Sapphira to
lie to God. The truth that the disciples preach brings freedom, life, and
love to many people. “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the
heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up
and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be
exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people
ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,” 2
Peter 3:10-11, ESV. It is best for us to share God’s love through Jesus.
That is why we keep the first thing first,
that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. The reason that Christianity
survives is because, it is of God! If
the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow

Continue Sharing God’s Love!
Today’s Feast
![]()
Jan. 12,
2016 – Acts 4
Continue Sharing God’s Love!
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We
will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“for in Christ
Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were
baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all
one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians
3:26-28, English
Standard Version (ESV)
.
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 4; “
Peter and John imprisoned. (1-4) The apostles boldly testify to Christ. (5-14) Peter and John refuse to be silenced. (15-22) The believers unite in prayer and praise. (23-31) The holy charity of the Christians. (32-37)” - Matthew Henry Concise.
Because
the priests, depended on the people for their living, they were afraid that
many people would follow Peter and John, because of the miracle performed at
the temple gate, the priests had them imprisoned. In spite of the persecution
the apostles boldly testify to the love and power Christ. Peter and John
loved the Lord and would not be silenced. Just as we do today the believers
unite in prayer and praise. The holy charity of the Christians. “32 Now the full number of those who
believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things
that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. 33 And
with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection
of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. 34 There was not a
needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold
them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35 and laid it at the
apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. 36 Thus
Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means son of
encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus, 37 sold a field that belonged
to him and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.” Acts
4:32-37, ESV. Does this mean we should run out and sell all of our
possessions and give them to the church? Certainly not, as good stewards we
must continue to provide for our family as well as support God’s family. If
you sold your home or your car or any possessions to try and appease God it
would be like trying to buy salvation. However if out of your abundance you
sold property to help house and feed the needy in our church, because of
love, God will certainly bless you. To make decisions that would adversely
affect your home and family would not glorify God. Make every effort to
continue sharing God’s love and gifts at every opportunity. “[His Steadfast Love Endures Forever]
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures
forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures
forever.” Psalm
136:1,26, ESV. There is only one name under heaven by which people can be
saved. That is why we keep the first thing first, that is salvation through
our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life! If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again
tomorrow.
