Power, Compassion And Might!
Please join
with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day
praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
“[ Keep in Step with the Spirit ] But I say, walk
by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16, English Standard Version (ESV)
.
Dear Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in
Acts Chapter 8; “Saul persecutes the church. (1-4) Philip's
success at Samaria. Simon the sorcerer baptized. (5-13) The
hypocrisy of Simon detected. (14-25) Philip
and the Ethiopian. (26-40)”
- Matthew Henry
Concise.
Trying to drive them from the Lord and their purpose, Saul
persecutes the church. In spite of the persecution the good news spreads,
Philip is successful at Samaria. Simon the sorcerer heard the good news and
he believed was baptized. The lust for power turned Simon away from the path
of righteousness. Philip meets and baptizes the Ethiopian. ”34
And the eunuch said to Philip, “About whom, I ask you, does the prophet say
this, about himself or about someone else? ”35 Then Philip opened his mouth,
and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus. 36
And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch
said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” 38 And he
commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip
and the eunuch, and he baptized him. 39 And when they came up out of the
water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no
more, and went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip found himself at Azotus,
and as he passed through he preached the gospel to all the towns until he
came to Caesarea.” Acts 8:34-40, ESV. Take
a look at our lives and the power we hold onto. If some person believes and
wants to be baptized, even if the water is available, we have them make an
appointment. Do you think this is what Jesus had in mind when he said; “Go
therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..!
“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me
shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
John
6:35, ESV. We have need to read this scripture, the Word of God. When we
truly believe, then we can share Jesus with the same power that Philip did.
Then truly we will be keeping the first thing first, that is salvation through our
Lord Jesus Christ. Being filled with the power, compassion and might of the
Holy Spirit, we can share Jesus throughout this Earth.
If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post
the Feast again tomorrow
You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html. Prayer request or Praise reports can be
sent to brother Mike at; mike@admenu.com
Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed
his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will
come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and
hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father
only.” Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are
building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to
change anything. Click this link for

Not To Punish The Killers?

Not To Punish The Killers?
Please join

“[ The Truth Will Set You Free ] So Jesus said to
the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my
disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” John 8:31-32, English
Standard Version (ESV)
.
Dear Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in
Acts Chapter 7; “Stephen's defence. (1-50) Stephen
reproves the Jews for the death of Christ. (51-53) The
martyrdom of Stephen.(54-60)”
- Matthew Henry Concise.
Stephen’s
is accused of blasphemy in his defense; he speaks using God’s own word.
Stephen reminds the Jews of their part in the death of Christ. Then as he
sees the heavens open and Jesus seated at the right hand of God, Stephen,
asks the Lord to forgive the very people who were stoning him. ”54
Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their
teeth at him. 55 But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw
the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 And he
said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the
right hand of God.” 57 But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their
ears and rushed together at him. 58 Then they cast him out of the city and
stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young
man named Saul. 59 And as they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord
Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 And falling to his knees he cried out with a
loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said
this, he fell asleep.” Acts
7:54-60, ESV. Look
at Stephen being stoned and yet has the soundness of mind to ask God not to
punish the people killing him. No one could do this without the peace of the
Holy Spirit resting on them. He
is a man dying yet sharing God’s love and his faith in Jesus! “[The
Supremacy of God’s Son] Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke
to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by
his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created
the world.” Hebrews
1:1-2, ESV. This is what we all want that peace that passes understanding
means! That peace that can only come from the Holy Spirit. This is going to
help us, keep the first thing first,
that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Being filled with the Holy Spirit,
even in desperate or perfect circumstances, he will give us the words to
share his love. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post
the Feast again tomorrow

What Path Will We Choose?
Today’s Feast

Jan. 14,
2016 – Acts 6
What Path Will We Choose?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his
brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him:
whoever loves God must also love his brother.” 1 John
4:20-21, English
Standard Version (ESV)
.
Dear Saints,
Thank you for
joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 6; “The appointment of
deacons. (1-7) Stephen falsely accused of blasphemy. (8-15)”
- Matthew Henry Concise.
Some of the widows were not
being properly taken care of; this led to appointment of deacons. One of the
new deacons Stephen is falsely accused of blasphemy. ”12 And they stirred up the people and the elders and the
scribes, and they came upon him and seized him and brought him before the
council, 13 and they set up false witnesses who said, “This man never ceases
to speak words against this holy place and the law, 14 for we have heard him
say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the
customs that Moses delivered to us.” 15 And gazing at him, all who sat in the
council saw that his face was like the face of an angel.” Acts
6:12-15, ESV. Look at Stephen a man of good report chosen to to be a deacon.
He loved the Lord and continued to praise and witness about the miracle of
Jesus as he carried out his ministry. He is a man sharing God’s love and his faith in Jesus! “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God… 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen
his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John
1:1-2, 14, ESV. Stephen chose a good thing, giving up what he couldn’t
keep for that which he could not lose. This is a path that we all should
choose. That being said, keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our
Lord Jesus Christ.” God will
truly bless you as you share his love. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and
post the Feast again tomorrow
