fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth
that I desire besides you. 26 My flesh and my heart may
fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:25-26, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our
Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 3; “Jehoram, king of Israel. (1-5) War
with Moab, The intercession of Elisha. (6-19) Water supplied, Moab overcome.(20-27)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we are prayerfully reading, 2
Kings 3. People in Satan’s service
do despicable things; these are an abomination to the Christian; like the
king of Moab’s sacrificing his son. Have nothing to do with evil acts; we are
not the Judges allow God’s Word to pronounce the judgment; “26 When the king of Moab
saw that the battle was going against him, he took with him 700 swordsmen to
break through, opposite the king of Edom, but they could not. 27 Then he took his oldest
son who was to reign in his place and offered him for a burnt offering on the
wall. And there came great wrath against Israel. And they withdrew from him
and returned to their own land.” 2
Kings 3:26-27, ESV. It would be
our nature to hate and condemn the king of Moab, because his sin made him an
abomination. God will judge the sinner
that doesn’t repent. We are here as a
light to the world. Our job is to let
them know God’s plans are the best plans.
Remember Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. “[The Golden Rule] “12 So whatever you wish that
others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the
Prophets.” Matthew
7:12, ESV. God’s purpose for the
believer is to carry the good news to a dying world; in doing so we keep the
first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord
Jesus. Show the sinner that they can
enjoy a better life with Jesus. We are
to carry the good news; God will judge and convict all persons that are
living in sin, without repenting. Let
your light shine and trade your gavel for the cross Saints! If the lord
is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

“120 In my distress I called to the Lord, and
he answered me.” Psalm 120:1, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue
our Feast in 2 Kings Chapter 2; “Elijah divides Jordan. (1-8) Elijah
is taken up into heaven. (9-12) Elisha is manifested to be Elijah's
successor. (13-18) Elisha heals the waters of Jericho, Those
that mocked Elisha destroyed. (19-25)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we continue in 2nd Kings by
prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 2. Another
miracle from the prophet Elijah, he divides the Jordan River. Elisha
stays with Elijah until he is taken up into heaven. Elisha sees Elijah
depart in God’s chariot so he is manifested to be Elijah’s successor. Elisha
heals the waters of Jericho, by placing salt in it as directed by God. Those
that mocked Elisha were destroyed; “23 He went up from there to Bethel,
and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city
and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead! ”23 He
went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some
small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you
baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” 24 And
he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the
Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys. 25 From there he went on to Mount Carmel, and from there
he returned to Samaria.” 2
Kings 2:23-25, ESV. God called Elisha to follow Elijah. In
spite of being urged to turn back Elisha kept on track holding fast to the
path God called him to walk. He was rewarded for his persistence. Listen
Christians God called us to follow his son, Jesus. Stay on track in the race
and God has more rewards for us. God called us for a purpose,
beyond going to church twice a week. “13 No
temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful,
and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the
temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to
endure it.” 1
Corinthians 10:13, ESV. God has a purpose for us; it is up to
us to stay on track. Live a Christ centered life and depend on Jesus for
the strength and the Holy Spirit for direction to keep the first thing first.
That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. God gave us
freedom to serve and love him. If we are true to him our lives
will be filled with purposeful direction. If the lord is willing I
will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

“7 for God gave us a spirit
not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2 Timothy 1:7, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully
continue our Feast in 2 Kings Chapter 1; “The revolt of Moab-Sickness
of Ahaziah, king of Israel. (1-8) Fire
called from heaven by Elijah-Death of Ahaziah.(9-18)” - Matthew Henry Concise.
Today
we begin our feast in 2nd Kings by prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 1. Ahaziah, king of Israel revolts against God causing the
revolt of Moab and sickness. Because Ahaziah called on a false God fire is
called from heaven by Elijah on the high-minded officers and troops. Ahaziah
dies because he called an a false god named Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron and
not our God. “17 So he died according to the word of the Lord that
Elijah had spoken. Jehoram became king in his place in the second year
of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, because Ahaziah had no son. 18 Now
the rest of the acts of Ahaziah that he did, are they not written in the Book
of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?” 2
Kings 1:17-18, ESV. We are to love
God with all our hearts. Christians never read the stars, call on
Necromancers or consult false gods. That is like saying God
does not exist. “14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing, 15 that
you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in
the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as
lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of
life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not
run in vain or labor in vain.” Philippians
2:14-16, ESV. Our God loves us, Jesus paid for our sin. The
Holy Spirit dwells with us we have no need for horoscopes, familiar spirits,
mediums. If we need anything we take it to God in prayer, in the
name of our savior Jesus. We keep the first thing first. That is
salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Maintain our walk
and talk (relationship) with our God, Jesus is our deliverer. If the lord is
willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“18 Little children, let us not love
in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:18, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we
prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 22; “Jehoshaphat makes a league with Ahab. (1-14) Micaiah predicts the death of Ahab. (15-28) Death of Ahab. (29-40) Jehoshaphat's good reign over Judah. (41-50) Ahaziah's evil reign over Israel. (51-53)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we finish1st Kings by
prayerfully reading, 1 Kings 22.
Ahab’s prophets, use of the name of Jehovah to please Jehoshaphat, he
falls in company with Ahab. Micaiah in order to serve God and give Ahab the
truth predicts his death. Ahab dies
just as predicted by Micaiah. Jehoshaphat has a good reign over Judah.
Ahaziah’s reign over Israel is evil. “51
Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria in the
seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned two years over
Israel. 52 He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and
walked in the way of his father and in the way of his mother and in the way
of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin. 53 He served
Baal and worshiped him and provoked the Lord, the God of Israel, to anger in
every way that his father had done.” 1
Kings 22:51-53, ESV. The truths
in the scripture ring true. All men
have the potential to do evil. Saints,
need to tell people the truth if there is any chance of them being favored by
God. “[Keep in Step with the Spirit]
6 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not
gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians
5:16, ESV. Walk with God no matter
where you walk. What Jesus knows is
more important than what men think.
Let’s continue to keep the first thing first. That is salvation
through the blood of our Lord Jesus.
If God’s will directs your life, presenting salvation, will be more
important than looking good to men. If
we don’t carry God’s message who will?
Our word could save a soul from hell.
Our desire to please men could allow a soul to go to hell. If the
lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

approximately three years.
“9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God
sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we
prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 21; “Ahab covets Naboth's vineyard. (1-4) Naboth murdered by Jezebel. (5-16) Elijah denounces judgments against Ahab. (17-29)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully
read, 1 Kings 21. Ahab is guilty of sin
the moment he covets another man’s property. Jezebel helps Ahab
obtain land by killing the owner. Because a man is the head of the
house and is one in with his wife in God’s eyes, God condemns Ahab and his
family to death. Elijah delivered the judgment to Ahab, and Ahab
repents; “27 And when Ahab heard those words, he tore his clothes and put
sackcloth on his flesh and fasted and lay in sackcloth and went about
dejectedly. 28 And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the
Tishbite, saying, 29 “Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself
before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the
disaster in his days; but in his son’s days I will bring the disaster upon
his house.””
1
Kings 21:27-29, ESV. Look at Ahab’s position; he is
guilty of murder and larceny. He is responsible for the crime
committed by Jezebel. Then he truly repents and turns to God for
mercy. God is true to forgive him! “[The Truth Will Set You
Free] So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my
word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth
will set you free.”” John
8:31-32, ESV. When you sin or your dependents sin you are
obligated to take appropriate action, repent and ask God for forgiveness. Remember
sin is cancer to our lives with Jesus. That is why we keep the first
thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. When
you repent and ask Jesus to forgive you, if you are truly repentant His is
true to forgive you. You can’t pay for one sin; Jesus paid the price for
all sin. If the lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again
tomorrow.

Expedite or Impede?
Today’s Feast

Expedite or Impede?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This
is the great and first commandment. 39 And a
second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we
prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 20; “Benhadad besieges Samaria. (1-11) Benhadad's defeat. (12-21) The Syrians again defeated. (22-30) Ahab makes peace with Benhadad. (31-43)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully read, 1 Kings 20.
Benhadad greedily besieges Samaria and sets his army against Ahab. Ahab
believes God and attacks and defeats Benhadad. The Syrians are ignorant of
the one true God and are again defeated. Ahab makes peace with Benhadad, not
heeding God’s instruction to smite him. “41 Then he hurried to take the bandage away from his eyes, and the king
of Israel recognized him as one of the prophets. 42 And he said to
him, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Because you have let go out of your hand the man
whom I had devoted to destruction, therefore your life shall be for his life,
and your people for his people.'” 43 And the king of Israel went
to his house vexed and sullen and came to Samaria.” 1
Kings 20:41-43, ESV. Do we serve our fellow men or God? If you neglect to
tell someone about the gifts of God, you are helping to condemn them to hell.
Sometimes you may be directed by God to ignore someone’s salvation. Never
neglect to tell them about Jesus because you don’t want to offend a person,
in doing so you are offending our God. “20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a
liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love
God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment
we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.” 1
John 4:20-21, ESV. It is far better to offend your brother or sister than
to condone sin. If we overlook sin, we are paving the path to hell. Jesus
told us that he is the way the truth and the life. No one can reach God
except thru Jesus. This is why we need to keep the first thing first. That is
salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. It is far better to offend a
person than to expedite a soul away from God, to eternal punishment. Ask
yourself what better serves God expediting or impeding godlessness? Don’t
send mixed messages where salvation is concerned. If the lord is willing
I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
