Today’s Feast

Praising & Praying!
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“6 And these words that I command you today
shall be on your heart.7 You shall teach them
diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your
house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you
rise.” Deuteronomy
6:6-7, English
Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our
Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 7; “Elisha prophesies plenty. (1,2) The flight of the Syrian army. (3-11) Samaria plentifully supplied. (12-20)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 6, Remember asking God is an important part
of the Christian life. When you pray have faith, expect
results. Because he didn’t have faith in God this captain was not be
blessed; “1 But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord: thus says the
Lord, Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a
shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.” 2
Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned said to the man of God, “If
the Lord himself should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” But he
said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.“ 2nd Kings
7:1-2 , ESV. God wants your prayer, believe God for a
blessing! “16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one
another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great
power as it is working. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like
ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and
six months it did not rain on the earth. 18 Then he prayed again, and heaven
gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.” James
5:16-18, ESV. Pray and let your light shine, keep the
first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord
Jesus. Have faith in God, he gave us his Word! If
the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

About God’s Track Record?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about

“9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and
courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your
God is with you wherever you go.”” Joshua 1:9, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our
Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 6; “The sons of the prophets enlarge their habitations, Iron made to
swim. (1-7) Elisha discloses the counsels of the Syrians. (8-12) Syrians sent to seize Elisha. (13-23) Samaria besieged, A famine, The king sends
to slay Elisha.(24-33)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we are prayerfully
reading, 2 Kings 6. While
the sons of the prophets enlarge their abodes, one of them drops an ax in the
water. God’s prophet throws a sick in the water and the iron ax
head floats to the top for retrieval. Elisha knows God will deliver him even
when others cannot see it. “15 When the servant of the man of God rose early in the
morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around
the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16
He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who
are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please
open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man,
and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire
all around Elisha. “Samaria besieged, A famine, The king sends to
slay Elisha.” 2
Kings 6:15-17, ESV. Why should I wait on the Lord? Just
as God restored the ax head, he will protect you. Don’t get upset when
the messenger brings bad news. Ask God to open your eyes to show you
how you are protected. Trust God and wait on him! “[Ask, and It Will Be Given] “7 “Ask, and
it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it
will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives,
and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew
7:7-8, ESV. While you are depending
and waiting on God you can talk to Him. Do his will and ask Him
for you needs. Keep the first thing first. That is salvation
through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Look back at God’s track
record with Elisha. Jesus gave you salvation and his Word. He
will never leave nor forsake you. Glory to God! If the Lord is willing
I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Give All Credit To?
Today’s Feast
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my
ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are
higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts
than your thoughts. ” Isaiah 55:8-9, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our
Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 5; “Naaman's leprosy. (1-8) The
cure of it. (9-14) Elisha refuses Naaman's gifts. (15-19) Gehazi's covetousness and falsehood. (20-27)
” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we are prayerfully
reading, 2
Kings 5. The lesson learned
secondly today is; never try to take credit or reward for God’s or another
man’s work. Interestingly enough a small act of greed gave Gehazi leprosy in
this chapter. “25 He went in and stood before his master, and Elisha said to him,
“Where have you been, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant went nowhere.” 26
But he said to him, “Did not my heart go when the man turned from his chariot
to meet you? Was it a time to accept money and garments, olive orchards and
vineyards, sheep and oxen, male servants and female servants? 27
Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to your descendants
forever.” So he went out from his presence a leper, like snow.” 2
Kings 5:25-27, ESV. When God does a work through you must
be sure God gets all the glory. The credit for God or anyone
else’s work is not ours to take. The first miracle was the curing
of leprosy. Elisha who delivered the directions wouldn’t go to
Naaman. He wanted God to get all the glory for healing
Naaman. “7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows,
that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to
his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who
sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” Galatians
6:7-8, ESV. You can stand tall and let your light shine as a
servant of the one true God. Please keep the first thing first. That is
salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. Jesus gives us more
than salvation. He gives us the capability to love our fellow men
so much we’ll try to carry God’s message to them. Let your light
shine brightly. Glory to God! If the lord is willing I will post and
send the Feast again tomorrow.

Where Does The Truth Come From?

“10 But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried
me, I shall come out as gold. 11 My foot has
held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not turned aside.” Job 23:10-11, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our
Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 43; “Elisha multiplies the widow's oil. (1-7) The
Shunammite obtains a son. (8-17) The Shunammite's son restored to life. (18-37) The miracle of healing the pottage, and of
feeding the sons of the prophets. (38-44)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we are prayerfully
reading, 2 Kings 4. In this
chapter we see faith in God working in several instances. None of them are
simple or small just acts of faith working for the faithful. I
really want this kind of faith! Where does it come from? Let’s
look at the last example in this chapter; “42 A man came from
Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty
loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, “Give
to the men that they may eat.” 43 But his servant said, “How can I
set this before a hundred men?” So he repeated, “Give them to the men, that
they may eat, for thus says the Lord, ‘They shall eat and have some left.’” 44
So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the
word of the Lord.” 2
Kings 4:42-44, ESV. What kind of faith is at work when a
man with twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain, has to feed a
hundred men with leftovers? It is the faith of the servant with
the bread and Elisha the prophet of God. Does this mean if they wished
really hard together that God would fulfill the word of the prophet? No,
Elisha believes God because he saw God showing miracles through Elijah and
himself in the past. Elisha simply believed God because he had
seen God coming through in every circumstance. He has never heard
of God failing to be true to His Word. Does the man with the bread have some
kind of super faith that the 20 loaves of barley should feed 100 men with
leftovers? No he simply heard that God’s words to Elisha’s are
true. All right so what do I have to do to have this kind of faith
in God? The truth comes in hearing and knowing whom you are
hearing from. “16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who
has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from
hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans
10:15-17, ESV. Just hearing is only the first step, it is
necessary that we hear from the Word of God. In doing so we
believe that the bible we are reading is the true Word of God. This
is what the Feast is about, hearing every word of God. Believing
that God’s words are true, sharing the gospel and keeping the first thing
first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus. It
starts with Jesus giving you, the Saints his Word and you reading and
believing God’s word. That is where true faith is going to come
from. When you receive this faith you will let your light shine as
a testament to God’s love. If the lord is willing I will post and
send the Feast again tomorrow.

“25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth
that I desire besides you. 26 My flesh and my heart may
fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:25-26, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our
Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 3; “Jehoram, king of Israel. (1-5) War
with Moab, The intercession of Elisha. (6-19) Water supplied, Moab overcome.(20-27)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we are prayerfully reading, 2
Kings 3. People in Satan’s service
do despicable things; these are an abomination to the Christian; like the
king of Moab’s sacrificing his son. Have nothing to do with evil acts; we are
not the Judges allow God’s Word to pronounce the judgment; “26 When the king of Moab
saw that the battle was going against him, he took with him 700 swordsmen to
break through, opposite the king of Edom, but they could not. 27 Then he took his oldest
son who was to reign in his place and offered him for a burnt offering on the
wall. And there came great wrath against Israel. And they withdrew from him
and returned to their own land.” 2
Kings 3:26-27, ESV. It would be
our nature to hate and condemn the king of Moab, because his sin made him an
abomination. God will judge the sinner
that doesn’t repent. We are here as a
light to the world. Our job is to let
them know God’s plans are the best plans.
Remember Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. “[The Golden Rule] “12 So whatever you wish that
others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the
Prophets.” Matthew
7:12, ESV. God’s purpose for the
believer is to carry the good news to a dying world; in doing so we keep the
first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of our Lord
Jesus. Show the sinner that they can
enjoy a better life with Jesus. We are
to carry the good news; God will judge and convict all persons that are
living in sin, without repenting. Let
your light shine and trade your gavel for the cross Saints! If the lord
is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
