Vengeance Is?

Today’s Feast

Mar. 22, 2016 2 Kings 24

Vengeance Is?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.  Ephesians 6:10-11, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 24; “Jehoiakim subdued by Nebuchadnezzar. (1-7) Jehoiachim captive in Babylon. (8-20) ” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 24.  God spared King Josiah, whom He loved for his faithfulness.  After that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, sacked Judah and took King Jehoiakim prisoner.   The king of Babylon made Mattaniah king of Judah and changed his name to Zedekiah; “19 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done. 20 For because of the anger of the Lord it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that he cast them out from his presence.2nd Kings 24:19-20, ESV.  God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He never lies and he took vengeance on God’s people because of their hard hearts.  God’s Word tells us how to live with a glad heart. “[Thanksgiving] 3 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.2nd Thessalonians 1:3, ESV.  It is easy to complain and even be bitter to other.  That is not Gods plan for us Saints.  Don’t harden your heat towards one another but thank God for whatever circumstance you find yourself in.  Vengeance is not ours however; love is. Remember faith comes by hearing God’s Word.  Keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Our goal is to serve God with an open heart holding all those who love Jesus and those who will up, in prayer and deed. If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

A Willing Heart?

Today’s Feast

Mar. 21, 2016 2 Kings 23
A Willing Heart?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 23; “Josiah reads the law, and renews the covenant. (1-3) He destroys idolatry. (4-14) The reformation extended to Israel, A passover kept. (15-24) Josiah slain by Pharaoh-nechoh. (25-30) Wicked reigns of Jehoahaz and Jehoiakim. (31-37)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 23.  King Josiah turns to the Lord, when he hears the words of the Book of the Covenant.  There was no king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul. There was no Kings before or after him that turned to God like Josiah.   The Lord was still angry with Judah, because of Manasseh’s sin.  Our merciful God took Josiah, before he kindled his wrath against Judah and Jerusalem; “19 And Josiah removed all the shrines also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which kings of Israel had made, provoking the Lord to anger. He did to them according to all that he had done at Bethel. 20 And he sacrificed all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned human bones on them. Then he returned to Jerusalem.“  2nd Kings 23:19-20, ESV.  Because Josiah’s heart was with God he never saw or endured the dissolution of the Holy Land. Because we can’t imagine the mind of God or the manner of life with him we almost never see death as a blessing. Sometimes we may wish death of our enemies while they are still in sin.   “[Love Your Enemies] 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”Matthew 5:43-45, ESV.  It is easy to recognize that our earthly ways are not God like.  We can see here in Matthew that God is not willing that any should depart this life in sin.  Therefore we need to keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Our goal is to serve God with a willing heart. If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Is Death A Blessing?

Today’s Feast

Mar. 20, 2016 2 Kings 22

Is Death A Blessing?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. 1 Peter 2:2-3, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 22; “Josiah's good reign, His care for repairing the temple, The book of the law found. (1-10) Josiah consults Huldah the prophetess. (11-20)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 22.  In deference to what we have been reading in the second book of kings, Josiah the king of Judah is a Godly man.  Because he is right with the Lord God, he is rewarded with death before the wicked reap what they have sewn; “19 because your heart was penitent, and you humbled yourself before the Lord, when you heard how I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the Lord. 20 Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes shall not see all the disaster that I will bring upon this place.’” And they brought back word to the king.“  2nd Kings 22:19-20, ESV.   I suppose there were many there who said; “Why has God taken him, it is unfair he was a Godly man?”  God alone knows everything and death is a blessing that allows some to avoid the pain in an ungodly world.  Remember God created us in his image eternal beings.  Death was given to man as a blessing so he could escape an ungodly eternity here separated from him.  10  O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.Psalm 97:10, ESV.  God rewards his people with death in this temporary world.  Then gives them eternal life in in His kingdom.  Keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Remember we are looking to God however, we don’t understand everything He has in store for us.  We have seen this mercy before. If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Sharers Need Not Judge!

Today’s Feast

Mar. 19, 2016 2 Kings 21

Sharers Need Not Judge!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 21; “Wicked reign of Manasseh. (1-9) The prophetic denunciations against Judah. (10-18) Wicked reign and death of Amon. (19-26)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 21.  Manasseh did what was wicked in the eyes of God. Because Manasseh king of Judah committed abominations Judah is spoiled by their enemies. The wicked reign and death of Amon; “21 He walked in all the way in which his father walked and served the idols that his father served and worshiped them. 22 He abandoned the Lord, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the Lord. 23 And the servants of Amon conspired against him and put the king to death in his house.2nd Kings 21:21-23, ESV.   I don’t believe we need to judge people. We need to simply point out that a Godly life is far superior to a wicked life.  Doesn’t everyone want the best for their families? “21 Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.Proverbs 21:21, ESV.  Let your lights shine Saints!  Whatever you do, wherever you go keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Keep your eyes on Jesus; keep your treasure in heaven. If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

God’s Grace In Jesus!

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 20; “Hezekiah's sickness, His recovery in answer to prayer. (1-11) Hezekiah shows his treasures to the ambassadors from Babylon, His death. (12-21)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully continue our feast in 2nd Kings 20; We thank God, for keeping us going, our God is an awesome God. Is there any other God that restore a man’s life, rescue us from hell? No!  We may not fulfill the promises we have uttered to God.  Still he has compassion on us. “8 And Hezekiah said to Isaiah,What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?” 9 And Isaiah said, “This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he has promised: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?” 10 And Hezekiah answered, “It is an easy thing for the shadow to lengthen ten steps. Rather let the shadow go back ten steps.” 11 And Isaiah the prophet called to the Lord, and he brought the shadow back ten steps, by which it had gone down on the steps of Ahaz.2nd Kings 20:8-11, ESV.  We will keep the first thing first; salvation in the name of God’s only Son Jesus. “25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matthew 16:25, ESV.   If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

Eyes On And Faith In Jesus!

Today’s Feast

Mar. 17, 2016 2 Kings 19

Eyes On And Faith In Jesus!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Psalm 23:1-3, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 19; “Hezekiah receives an answer of peace. (1-7) Sennacherib's letter. (8-19) His fall is prophesied. (20-34) The Assyrian army destroyed, Sennacherib slain. (35-37)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 19.  Hezekiah realizes that God has been disrespected; he calls on God, and receives a promise of peace. Sennacherib sends a letter to Hezekiah saying do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you. Sennacherib’s fall is prophesied because he raged against God and his people.  The Assyrian army is destroyed, and Sennacherib slain; “35 And that night the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies. 36 Then Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went home and lived at Nineveh. 37 And as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, struck him down with the sword and escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place.2nd Kings 19:35-37, ESV.   Look at the contrast between these two kings.   Sennacherib raged against God and his life was taken.   Hezekiah called out to God in faith and he was grated peace by God.  “[The Lord Is My Rock and My Fortress] [To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord, who addressed the words of this song to the Lord on the day when the Lord rescued him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said:] I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.Psalm 18:1-2, ESV.  God never changes Saints, never leave your position of faith, and call in the name of Jesus for what you may need.  Jesus said he will never forsake us, let’s keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Keep your eyes and your faith in and on Jesus.  If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; http://admenu.com/prayer.html.  Prayer request or Praise reports can be sent to brother Mike at; mike@admenu.com

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now; do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information; admenu.com/calling.htm .
