What Are The Odds?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come
after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and
follow me. 24 For whoever would save his
life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.” Luke 9:23-24, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1
Chronicles, Chapter 20; “David's wars.
- Though the Lord will severely correct the sins of his believing
people, he will not leave them in the hands of their enemies. His assistance
will overcome all advantages of number and strength of those that defy his
Israel. All that trust in Christ, shall be made more than conquerors through
him that loveth them.” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 20. Once
again we see King David leader of God’s people blessed by God whenever they
went into war. The armies they fight against outnumber and outsize
them, again God gives them the victory. “6 And there was again war at
Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had six fingers on each
hand and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in number, and he also was
descended from the giants. 7 And when he taunted Israel, Jonathan the son of
Shimea, David’s brother, struck him down. 8 These were descended from the
giants in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his
servants.” 1
Chronicles 20:6-8, ESV. Our God is the awesome God! As
we faithfully serve Him God will overcome the odds every time. “10 But he knows the
way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold. 11 My
foot has held fast to his steps; I have kept his way and have not
turned aside.” Job
23:10-11, ESV. If we stray from God he will still punish
us. But against all odds we will have victory in Jesus! If the Lord is willing I will post
and send the Feast again tomorrow.
God Bless You,
Brother

Enlist In God’s Army!

“24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree,
that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his
wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 19; “David's wars.
( 2 Samuel 8 )
safety of sinners consists in submitting to the Lord, seeking peace with him,
and becoming his servants. Let us assist each other in a good cause; but let
us fear lest, while made instruments of good to others, we should come short
of salvation, through unbelief and sin.” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 19. King
David was blessed by God whenever he went into war. Again King David
consulted God before he did anything. David trusted God, he had faith
that God was true to his word. David fought in agreement with God;
“18 And the Syrians
fled before Israel, and David killed of the Syrians the men of 7,000 chariots
and 40,000 foot soldiers, and put to death also Shophach the commander of
their army. 19 And when the servants of Hadadezer saw that they
had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with David and became subject to
him. So the Syrians were not willing to save the Ammonites anymore.” 1
Chronicles 19:18-19, ESV. God never changes! Our
relationship with Jesus includes serving in God’s Holy army. Keep
this in mind; “12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this
present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the
heavenly places.” Ephesians
6:12, ESV. When we enlist in God’s army we join in a heavenly
war against God’s enemy. Accept Jesus and turn from sin you will
be sealed by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us a peace
that surpasses worldly understanding. “25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And
there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. 26 My
flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm
73:25-26, ESV. If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast
again tomorrow.
God Bless You,
Brother

“11 Wail, O inhabitants of the Mortar! For all the traders are
no more; all who weigh out silver are cut off.”
Zephaniah 1:11, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1
Chronicles, Chapter 18; “David's victories.
( 2
Samuel 19 ) under the Captain of our salvation, will end in
everlasting triumph and peace. The happiness of Israel, through David's
victories, and just government, faintly shadowed forth the happiness of the
redeemed in the realms above.” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 18. King
David was blessed by God wherever he went, even unto war. It was
no secrete he consulted God before he did anything. David trusted
God, he had faith that God was true to his word. David surrounded
himself with believers; “14 So David reigned over all Israel, and he administered justice and
equity to all his people. 15 And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over
the army; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder; 16 and Zadok the
son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests; and Shavsha was
secretary; 17 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and
the Pelethites; and David’s sons were the chief officials in the service of
the king.” 1
Chronicles 18:14-17, ESV. God never changes, if we trust Him and
consult Him another words have a relationship with Jesus, then God will bless
us. “for God gave us a
spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” 2
Timothy 1:7, ESV. If your considering asking Jesus
for anything, keep in mind he laid down his life for us. Keep
the first thing first; that is salvation paid for by Jesus. There
is victory in Jesus in His power. When we turn from sin to Jesus,
what are we giving up? Think about it, you’re giving up what you
can’t keep. What is that? A temporary life filled with
sin! What for? An eternal life, filled with bliss! If
the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
God Bless You,
Brother

“3 He is the radiance of the glory of God
and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the
word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat
down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,” Hebrews 1:3, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1
Chronicles, Chapter 17;
“David's purposes; God's gracious promises.” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1
Chronicles 17. King David is of a mind to build a proper
house. The Lord our God stopped him. He revealed to
David that He would build a home for him; “25 “You,
my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him. So
your servant has found courage to pray to you. 26 You, Lord, are
God! You have promised these good things to your servant. 27 Now
you have been pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may
continue forever in your sight; for you, Lord, have blessed it, and it will
be blessed forever.”” 1
Chronicles 17:25-27, ESV. God promised to take care of David
just as he has promised for you and me. Like David we should be ready to
serve God in our actions. “18 Little
children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” 1
John 3:18, ESV. As we serve our Lord Jesus, we
should make sure that we walk truthfully in His
light. Keeping the first thing first; that is salvation through
the blood of the Lamb. Be ready at all times to purposely serve
God in word and deed. If the Lord is willing I will post and send the
Feast again tomorrow.
God Bless You,

“10 For if while we were enemies we were
reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are
reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.” Romans 5:10, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 16; “The solemnity with which the ark was fixed. (1-6) David's psalm of praise. (7-36) Setting in order the worship of God. (37-43)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today
we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 16. King
David was generous to his subjects, because he recognized God’s grace to
him. He brought order and reverence to the thanksgiving and
praising of God. “35 Say also: “Save
us, O God of our salvation, and gather and deliver us from among the
nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your
praise. 36 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to
everlasting!” Then all the people said, “Amen!” and praised the Lord.” 1
Chronicles 16:35-36, ESV. I hear this saying often; “ What
goes around comes around! ” It seems that King David really had a
handle on that. He was a man after God’s heart. “9 In this the
love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son
into the world, so that we might live through him.” 1
John 4:9, ESV When we deal with others who are not yet saved
keep in mind the grace of God by which we were saved. Keep
the first thing first; that is salvation through the blood of the Lamb. Our
righteousness is in Jesus and not of ourselves. If the Lord is willing I
will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
God Bless You,

Get Back In The Race!
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen

“20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no
longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live
in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave
himself for me.” Galatians 2:20, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 15; “Preparations for the removal of the ark. (1-24) The removal of the ark. (25-29)” - Matthew
Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 15. King
David realizes that he made mistakes when he moved the Ark the first time. He
owned up to his sin repented of and followed God’s rule the second time. What
a glorious day it was. God’s people where celebrating and praising
God as they brought the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem. You would
think everyone would be celebrating and happy to see the ark enter the city. That
was not the case; “29 And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David,
Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David
dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.” 1
Chronicles 15:29, ESV. When people see you being blessed and
you are giving God the glory, if they don’t know Jesus they may despise and
think you are a fool. “37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all
your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This
is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second
is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew
22:37-39, ESV. Don’t let what others say or do discourage you,
continue to love the Lord with all your strength. Pray for those
who defame or abuse you. Continue to keep the first thing first;
that is salvation through the blood of the Lamb. We are blessed when people
abuse us for our faith in Jesus. “22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who
endures to the end will be saved.“ Matthew
10:22, ESV. Pick yourself up and get back in the race.
If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
God Bless You,
Brother

Does He Have A Plan For Me?

Does He Have A Plan For Me?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“16 By this we know love, that he laid down his life
for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.” 1 John 3:16, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 14; “David's victories.
- In this chapter we have an account of, 1. David's kingdom
established. 2. His family built up. 3. His enemies defeated. ( 2
Samuel 5 ) upon as a type and figure of the exalted honour of the
Son of David.” - Matthew Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 14. We
see King David never carries out a plan without consulting God. Notice
the second time the Philistine attacked God said you shall not go up after
them; “13 And the Philistines yet again made a raid in the valley. 14 And when David again inquired of God, God said to him, “You shall not
go up after them; go around and come against them opposite the balsam trees. 15
And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then
go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike down the army of
the Philistines.””1
Chronicles 14:13-15, ESV. God did not stop King David from
amassing his army for the attack. God simply told them to take another
path and God took down the Philistines for them. “11 For I know the plans
I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for
evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you
will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.13 You
will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah
29:11-13, ESV. Saints before we take any action we must consult
God. Keep the first thing first; that is salvation through the
blood of the Lamb. The scripture tells us that Jesus had plans for each of
us, before we even asked Him into our hearts. If the Lord is willing I
will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
God Bless You,
Brother
