The Feast and Our Mission!

The Best of the Feast

Mar 18, 2017 – I Timothy 3-4

The Feast and Our Mission!

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.Hebrews 11:1

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading 1 Timothy  Chapter 3 & Chapter 4.

Today I’m departing from our daily format in order to share what and why The Feast is.

What is “The Feast”? The Feast is a daily study in God’s word. By reading a chapter a day (sometimes two) we go through every word in the bible in about three years. I send the Feast out usually seven days a week, sometimes the weekend Feast is for Friday Saturday and Sunday. We host a prayer list which we keep up on prayer every day. http://admenu.com/prayer.html. We would count it a blessing if you asked us to pray for you!

You can always reach me by email at: mike@admenu.com.  I don’t solicit money and I do accept prayerful correction. The Saints that subscribe to the Feast love to pray & they know how to be forgiving because some of them have been putting up with me for years.  We don’t promote any particular version of the bible because if you pray before you read the scripture the Holy Spirit will bless you with understanding.

Our Mission; Faith through the Word We know where faith comes from; “17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17. We also know that you need to belong to a fellowship lead by God. We are not trying to fill that need.  We just want to help with prayer when you need it and nourishment on a daily basis.  Our Bible reading plan, takes about 15 minutes a day.  We read every word in the Holy Bible in about three year cycles. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Is Jesus calling you?  Do you want to be clean, free from condemnation?  Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link; http://www.admenu.com/calling.htm.

Today’s Verse; 13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  Romans 15:13 NKJV.

God Bless You,

Brother Mike

Who Did Jesus Come to Save?

The Best of the Feast

Mar 17, 2017 – I Timothy 1-2

Who Did Jesus Come to Save?

15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.2 Corinthians 5:15

1st Timothy an overview; “The design of the epistle appears to be, that Timothy having been left at Ephesus, St. Paul wrote to instruct him in the choice of proper officers in the church, as well as in the exercise of a regular ministry. Also, to caution against the influence of false teachers, who by subtle distinctions and endless disputes, corrupted the purity and simplicity of the gospel. He presses upon him constant regard to the greatest diligence, faithfulness, and zeal. These subjects occupy the first four chapters; the fifth chapter instructs respecting particular classes; in the latter part, controversies and disputes are condemned, the love of money blamed, and the rich exhorted to good works.” –  Matthew Henry Commentary on the Whole Bible (Concise)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading 1 Timothy Chapter 1 & Chapter 2

In today’s Feast In Chapter 1 the people are warned against promoting un-repentant sinners as members of the Church.  The stratagem of God’s law and Paul’s call to the apostleship.  The Saints are prompted to carry on sharing the gospel in good faith imitating Jesus.  In Chapter 2 we are told to pray for all persons, with no regard for their positions or their outward appearance. How men and women ought to behave in an orderly manner, in every aspect of their life.  We are reminded there is one mediator between men and God.  “18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck,1 Timothy 1:18-19  New King James Version (NKJV).   Jesus said if we have faith and do not doubt, we will have the power to move mountains (see Matthew 21:21).   Jesus came and died on the cross for any person willing to repent from their sin and accept the gift of salvation.  “16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;2 Corinthians 5:16-18 NKJV.  Jesus is sent from God the Father to redeem the sinners (see 1 Timothy 2:5).  Jesus didn’t come to save the righteous; he came to rescue those who are lost in sin.

Today’s Verse; [ The Lord the Shepherd of His People ] [ A Psalm of David. ] The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.. Psalm 23:1-3 NKJV.

Why Should We Fear the Lord?

The Best of the Feast

Mar 16, 2017 – Proverbs 31

Why We Fear the Lord?

13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.1 Corinthians 10:13

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading proverbs Chapter 31.

In today’s Feast the King is advised to live an upright and sin free life as a leader of the land.  The good wife is pictured as living a life dedicated to God and her family.   “Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.Proverbs 31:9; 31 New King James Version (NKJV).   The words of king Lempel would be good advice to any person at home, work and as a parent (see 1 Timothy 3:12).  Those women who would have the perfect family would be wise to conduct their affairs like the good wife pictured in these verses (see Proverbs 31:10-31).  The most important relationship any man or woman has is the spiritual one with God.  “23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.””  John 4:23-24 NKJV.  Keep this in mind; unless a person is born again they can’t be in a real relationship with Jesus (see 1 Peter 1:3).  Let’s worship Jesus in spirit and truth acknowledging that, the fear of the Lord is just the beginning of knowledge.  If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “[ Character of the New Man ] Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;Colossians 3:12  NKJV.

The Best of the Feast

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading proverbs Chapter 30.

Today’s Feast, Can be used for all godly instruction; We take a good look at where and in whom the saints should be putting our trust.   “5 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. 6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.Proverbs 30:5-6 New King James Version (NKJV).   Pride and cruelty, exalts wicked men who are not worthy to hold power; foolish men who punish their piers rob them of succor (see Proverbs 19:10, 28:3).  Those who add to God’s Word will be found out as liars (see Proverbs 30:6).  We need to hold fast to God’s Word persons who pervert God’s words will earn a liar’s reward.  “6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.”  Galatians 1:6-8 NKJV.  Stand fast in your faith and the gospel we have received from Jesus (see Romans 10:17).   If someone comes with other books or bible versions that say “Jesus is not the only begotten son of God” (see John 3:16) witness to them.  Don’t act foolish or slam the door in their face.  Be a loving witness to the power of God’s love.  Tell them that Jesus loves them.  Tell them that all they need is the whole Word of God and the Holy Spirit to give them understanding. You may even ask them to pray with you.  Jesus will bless the faithful.  If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:10,12  NKJV.

We Discern or Become Worldly?

The Best of the Feast

Mar 14, 2017 – Proverbs 29

We Discern or Become Worldly?

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. James 4:4 NKJV.

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading proverbs Chapter 29.

In today’s Feast, We see the comparison of those who love God’s wisdom to those who embrace foolishness.   “27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous, And he who is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.Proverbs 29:27 New King James Version (NKJV).   A wise person uses discernment choosing to befriend believers while offering God’s love to the worldly (see 2 Corinthians 6:14). Offer the love of God through Jesus to the unsaved.  If they reject your witness leave them alone (see Matthew 10:14).  We should continue to love our neighbor, recognizing, and separating ourselves from their evil practices.  “17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you have not so learned Christ,”  Ephesians 4:17-20 NKJV.  Who are we to recognize who we fellowship with and whom we leave alone?   We are God’s children friends of Jesus (see James 4:4).   We believe God, and it is counted to us as righteousness.

Today’s Verse; “Fruitful Growth in the Faith ] But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.2 Peter 1:5-8  NKJV.

God Bless You,

Brother Mike
