The People That Were Not?

The Best of the Feast

May 5, 2017 – Isaiah 23

The People That Were Not?

“For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?”  1 Peter 4:17 New King James Version (NKJV).

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading Isaiah Chapter 23. Tyre was the hotspot of the era she was full of self-gratification, (see Ezekiel 28:7Godliness was just another object of her humor.  God will show mercy in Tyre.  When God gives her freedom, she returns to the temptation, the love of money, covetousness, and spiritual idolatry.  “7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” Isaiah 23:17-18  NKJV.  Take notice though the nation was doing badly in a spiritual sense, God (see Isaiah 23:18) used her prosperity to bless those who were willing to live for His kingdom. “7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”  Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV.  Sometimes I’m surprised when a see a Christian who falls away in sin.  Then I think about what Jesus said to those who appeared to be doing God’s work on the outside but remained secretly opposed to Jesus (See Matthew 7:23) in secrete.  Do I regret giving money to a person who I found out later was abusing God’s gifts?  Not at all, I give what I feel God is nudging me to give.  In doing so I have obeyed the Holy Spirit and thus been true to my Lord Jesus.  Every gift whether given or abused is done so to the Glory of God.  “16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? “ Romans 6:16 NKJV.  I am convinced that those that pretended to serve God for their own purposes (See Matthew 7:22-23is; “The People That Were Not” able to follow Jesus. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Can you feel Jesus calling you?  Do you still hear (see Romans 1:24-25) Him calling?  Do you want to find true happiness, peace, and purpose in your life?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link; http://admenu.com/calling.html.

Today’s Verse; ”6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6  NKJV.

Oracle Concerning Jerusalem

The Best of the Feast

May 4, 2017 – Isaiah 22

Oracle Concerning Jerusalem

“11 The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are given by one Shepherd.”  Ecclesiastes 12:11 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading Isaiah Chapter 22. The terror in Jerusalem prophesied of by Isaiah, her men are slain by (see Lamentations 4:9famine, fear, disheartenment.  Judah now appeared more weakened than ever (see Isaiah 30:1) before.   Shebna is a chastised for his pride, vanity, and confidence in man. “24 ‘They will hang on him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the posterity, all vessels of small quantity, from the cups to all the pitchers. 25 In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘the peg that is fastened in the secure place will be removed and be cut down and fall, and the burden that was on it will be cut off; for the Lord has spoken.’”” Isaiah 22:24-25  NKJV.  Gaze into your heart; Is your faith in your Job, Social Security, politicians, people or (see Hebrews 11:1) Jesus. “2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” 1 Peter 2:2-3  NKJV.  Did you examine your heart, and see what is it you desire?  Will you love and obey Jesus (see John 21:15) will you feed His lambs?  Jesus says that if you love Him you’ll (see John 21:16) tend (take care of) God’s lambs.  Jesus Said; “17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.“ John 21:17 NKJV.  Because we really love Jesus we will love and take care of our siblings and let our light shine for all people to see. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Jesus With A Capital “J”!

The Best of the Feast

Jesus With A Capital “J”!

“14 O inhabitants of the land of Tema, Bring water to him who is thirsty; With their bread they met him who fled.”  Isaiah 21:14 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading Isaiah Chapter 21. The destruction of Babylon is prophesied of by Isaiah, it was a type of the destruction of the enemy of the (see Revelation 7:3Christian church.  God’s prophets and ministers are guards (see Ezekiel 35:2) warning the Church of the deceptions of the enemy.  We don’t know who (see Jeremiah 25:23-24) could possibly affect us before we die. “16 For thus the Lord has said to me: “Within a year, according to the year of a hired man, all the glory of Kedar will fail; 17 and the remainder of the number of archers, the mighty men of the people of Kedar, will be diminished; for the Lord God of Israel has spoken it.”” Isaiah 21:16-17  NKJV.  Not the skill of warriors, nor the might of men, can protect us from God’s judgments, only the blood of Jesus (see Hebrews 10:18-20) can save us. “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”  Galatians 5:22-23  NKJV.  The loving, great and wonderful sacrifice of Jesus (see John 3:16) God’s only begotten son paid for our transgressions. Make no mistake we are not saved by any ambiguous names or “Higher Power”.  We must in the spirit of love share there is no other name than Jesus (see Acts 4:11-12) by which mankind can be saved. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading Isaiah Chapter 20. Even the clothing Isaiah wore was an indictment (see Isaiah 20:3) against Egypt and Cush.   People who put their expectation and glory, in the place of God, will, eventually be put to shame. “5 Then they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation and Egypt their glory. 6 And the inhabitant of this territory will say in that day, ‘Surely such is our expectation, wherever we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?’’’” Isaiah 20:5-6  NKJV.   We should constantly reach out to Jesus in word and deed with all our heart.  Then the Holy Spirit will take us beyond our expectations (see Philippians 4:6-8) and comfort us. “13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NKJV.  Saints humble yourselves so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith (see Ephesians 3:17-21) avoiding even conversation that promotes the flesh. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Egypt, Assyria, Israel Blessed

The Best of the Feast

May 1, 2017 – Isaiah 18-19

Egypt, Assyria, Israel Blessed

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Isaiah Chapters 18 and 19. First in  Chapter 18.   Isaiah is speaking of a nation marked by foresight, governed by God’s word (see Isaiah 25:10) she will be attacked, but not destroyed. Because she is a refuge for God’s people (see Isaiah 25:10) God’s hand will be on her hills. “7 In that time a present will be brought to the Lord of hosts From a people tall and smooth of skin, And from a people terrible from their beginning onward, A nation powerful and treading down, Whose land the rivers divide-- To the place of the name of the Lord of hosts, To Mount Zion.” Isaiah 18:7 NKJV.

Then we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Isaiah Chapter 19.   God passes judgment on Egypt giving her over (see Ezekiel 29:19) to a harsh ruler. The Egyptians will turn from their perverse ways and seek God, and then God will hear them and heal their souls. “19 In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. 20 And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Mighty One, and He will deliver them. 21 Then the Lord will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day, and will make sacrifice and offering; yes, they will make a vow to the Lord and perform it.” Isaiah 19:19-21 NKJV.   Our Lord God does not want anyone to die in their sins.  When people turn from their wickedness and seek the love of Jesus God will be true to honor the covenant (see Hebrews 9:15) and save them. “1 A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.” Psalm 23:1-3   NKJV.   By having repenting from our sinful ways and asking Jesus into our hearts we are made free from sin partakers in the new (see Luke 22:20) covenant with God.  If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.
