Wednesday, December 10, 2008, Matthew 17


Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew 17.  How can we share our Lord and Savior Jesus?  “Then He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."  (Matthew 4:19).  Is it possible can it really be that simple?  Do you suppose we are becoming disciples as we read his word?   I am extremely glad that http://www.forthecross.com/ is back on line.  I have taken the link to the f orums at admenu.com and changed them to forthecross.com. Wednesday, December 10, 2008, Matthew 17 - The transfiguration of Christ. (1-13) Jesus casts out a dumb and deaf spirit. (14-21) He again foretells his sufferings. (22,23) He works a miracle to pay the tribute money. (24-27).

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew 16.  Another day in which we may serve our Lord and Savior Jesus.  “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”  (Romans 5:5).  There truly is one Lord and one way we are saved by relationship not religion.

Tuesday, December 09, 2008, Matthew 16 - The Pharisees and Sadducees ask a sign. (1-4) Jesus cautions against the doctrine of the Pharisees. (5-12) Peter's testimony that Jesus was the Christ. (13-20) Christ foretells his sufferings, and rebukes Peter. (21-23) The necessity of self-denial. (24-28).

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew 15.  I pray you had a blessed weekend.  Thank you for sharing God’s love and grace wherever you go and whatever you do.  “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”  (Galatians 5:22-23).  There truly is one Lord and one way we are saved by relationship not religion.

Monday, December 08, 2008, Matthew 15 - Jesus discourses about human traditions. (1-9) He warns against things which really defile. (10-20) He heals the daughter of a Syrophenician woman. (21-28) Jesus heals the sick, and miraculously feeds four thousand. (29-39).

This weekend Feast Matthew 12, Matthew 13 and Matthew 14


Dear Saints,

This weekend we prayerfully continue our feast in Matthew 12, Matthew 13 and Matthew 14 for Saturday and Sunday respectively. I want to share a praise report or two. First one of our Saints who is anonymous on our prayer list has had all her rights as a citizen of the United States restored. " I will sing of the Lord's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.” (Psalm 89:1). (31-35) The parables of the hidden treasure, the pearl of great price, the net cast into the sea, and the householder. (44-52) Jesus is again rejected at Nazareth. (53-58).
Sunday, December 7, 2008, Matthew 14 - Death of John the Baptist. (1-12) Five thousand people miraculously fed. (13-21) Jesus walks upon the sea. (22-33) Jesus healing the sick. (34-36).

For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; "for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.” (Matthew 10:19-20). Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in Matthew 9.  I am sure glad Jesus saved you and me; “Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, 'Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.'" (Matthew 9:2).  Many times I have felt like a Spiritual paralytic when it comes to sharing the love of Jesus.  I not only thank God for his grace it makes me want to share that same grace with others.  You can contact me at mlitew8@yahoo.com.
