National Days of Prayer Day 11of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 7. Here we are in our feast in 1 Samuel chapter 7 once again we see what happens when a nation turns to God. The ark removed to Kirjath-jearim. The Israelites solemnly repent and turn to the only true God. The Lord defeats the Philistines and the Israelite men chased them. They are subdued, Samuel judges Israel, they turn to the true God. “3 Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for the Lord, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.” 4 So the children of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and served the Lord only.” I Samuel 7:3-4, New King James Version (NKJV). We in our country need a Nation to repent and turn to God through Jesus. Our God can not only save individuals as we know, he can also save a nation! Continue to pray and reading his Word. Share your personal relationship with God, with others.

40 Days of Prayer # 11 Prayer for our nation By Pastor Glen Aycock;
Topic: BEWARE DANGER AHEAD
Scripture: Gen 6: 11-22
11 ¶ “As far as God was concerned, the Earth had become a sewer; there was violence everywhere. 12 God took one look and saw how bad it was, everyone corrupt and corrupting—life itself corrupt to the core.
13 ¶ God said to Noah, "It’s all over. It’s the end of the human race. The violence is everywhere; I’m making a clean sweep. 22 ¶ Noah did everything God commanded him to do.”

Comments: Driving back from a pastor’s convention late at night I came across a house burning. The lights were out so me and a pastor friend stopped and ran to the house and started pounding on the door and ringing the doorbell. We shouted and yelled with all our might trying to gain the attention of the family within. They were oblivious to the impending danger. The father finally came to the upstairs window and we warned him his house was on fire. He grabbed his wife and three children and escaped the danger. Mr. American your house is on fire and you have been sound asleep. It is imperative that you wake up before you lose your freedom and property and rights. God will not tolerate our sewer level of morals, lack of care for millions of unborn babies. Violence is rampant in our schools, cities, and murder has become a common place in every city and state. What can we do? We can warn of danger! We are to love our Neighbor and pray for them. We also are to pray for our nation. Our nation needs God. What kind of leaders do we need to run our nation? Will you join the thousands of Christians and fast and pray for our country and the upcoming election. Can you smell the smoke signs? What will you do for our country? Will you do everything that God commands you to do? Remember the typing drill, “Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.”

TODAYS PRAYER THOUGHT:
Dear Jesus we are aware of the dangerous route our nation is taking. We pray for every congressman and legislator to get down on bended knee and seek your face and counsel. Help them to take a stand for Godliness and Righteousness. Lord we pour our hearts out in repentance for sin in our lives, whether it is sin of omission or commission. Hear our pray we pray and help us to awaken. In Jesus Name, Amen!”

National Days of Prayer Day 10 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 6. Here we are in our feast in 1 Samuel chapter 6 we see, once again there is no other god like our God. The Philistines are afraid so they consult how to send back the ark. They tie it to a cart and send it with 2 cows to Bethshemesh. The people smitten for looking into the ark. So they decide to send it on. “20 And the men of Beth Shemesh said, “Who is able to stand before this holy Lord God? And to whom shall it go up from us?” 21 So they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath Jearim, saying, “The Philistines have brought back the ark of the Lord; come down and take it up with you.”” I Samuel 6:20-21, New King James Version (NKJV). The Philistines god's are made by men. Our God created all men! Continue to seek him in prayer. Keep reading his Word, hold onto your personal relationship with God.

40 Days of Prayer # 10 Prayer for our nation By Pastor Glen Aycock

SCRIPTURE: De. 8 and 9.
It was at the end of the forty days and nights that GOD gave me the two slabs of stone, the tablets of the covenant. 12 GOD said to me, "Get going, and quickly. Get down there, because your people whom you led out of Egypt have ruined everything. In almost no time at all they have left the road that I laid out for them and gone off and made for themselves a cast god." 13 GOD said, "I look at this people and all I see are hardheaded, hardhearted rebels. 15 I turned around and started down the mountain—by now the mountain was blazing with fire—carrying the two tablets of the covenant in my two arms. 16 That’s when I saw it: There you were, sinning against GOD, your God—you had made yourselves a cast god in the shape of a calf! So soon you had left the road that GOD had commanded you to walk on. 17 I held the two stone slabs high and threw them down, smashing them to bits as you watched. 18 Then I prostrated myself before GOD, just as I had at the beginning of the forty days and nights. I ate no food; I drank no water. I did this because of you, all your sins, sinning against GOD, doing what is evil in GOD’s eyes and making him angry. 19 I was terrified of GOD’s furious anger, his blazing anger. I was sure he would destroy you. But once again GOD listened to me. Rebelled against the clear orders of GOD, your God. Refused to trust him. Wouldn’t obey him. 24 You’ve been rebels against GOD from the first day I knew you. 25 When I was on my face, prostrate before GOD those forty days and nights after GOD said he would destroy you, 26 I prayed to GOD for you, "My Master, GOD, don’t destroy your people, your inheritance whom, in your immense generosity, you redeemed, using your enormous strength to get them out of Egypt.
5 I turned around and came down the mountain. 10 I stayed there on the mountain forty days and nights, just as I did the first time. And GOD listened to me, just as he did the first time: GOD decided not to destroy you. 11 GOD told me, "Now get going. Lead your people as they resume the journey to take possession
Notice that God was fed up and ready to destroy Israel and make another nation of other people. He was angry and Moses interceded for the people and begged for mercy and change of intent from God. Oh how wonder is chapter 9, verse 5 that say “God listened to me”. If we pray God will listen. Hallelujah.

This is an urgent prayer request that I received today. Please help me as pray for this lady.
Prayer Request
“I have a prayer request. There's a lady I've known forever. She's very sick. On top of that, she's being abused by those to whom she has given everything..... Lies about her abound, and seem to come from all sides. Just breaks my heart. Seems there's nothing I can do alone but maybe, if we join in and lift her up together, we can heal her. She's well over 230 years old, but way too young to die. Her name is 'America'... And I love her and have always been proud of her.

Please take time to say a prayer for her - even if it is a short, simple prayer like, "Lord, please heal our land. Amen." Thanks! [Prayer from the internet-Sept 2012]

National Days of Prayer Day 8 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 5. As we continue our feast in 1 Samuel we see, there is no other god like our God. The Philistine peoples god Dagon is broken before the ark. The Philistine smitten, instead of trying to get rid of our God they should have asked him for his forgiveness. “10 Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. So it was, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, “They have brought the ark of the God of Israel to us, to kill us and our people!” 11 So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, “Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go back to its own place, so that it does not kill us and our people.” For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there. 12 And the men who did not die were stricken with the tumors, and the cry of the city went up to heaven.” I Samuel 5:10-12, New King James Version (NKJV). There is no other God under heaven! Seek him in prayer and read his Word he wants to have a personal relationship with you.

SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 8:1-9:
1 ¶ GOD told Jeremiah, 2 “Up on your feet! Go to the potter’s house. When you get there, I’ll tell you what I have to say." 3 So I went to the potter’s house, and sure enough, the potter was there, working away at his wheel. 4 Whenever the pot the potter was working on turned out badly, as sometimes happens when you are working with clay, the potter would simply start over and use the same clay to make another pot. 5 Then GOD’s Message came to me: 6 “Can’t I do just as this potter does, people of Israel?" GOD’s Decree! "Watch this potter. In the same way that this potter works his clay, I work on you, people of Israel. 7 1 ¶ GOD told Jeremiah, 2 “Up on your feet! 7 At any moment I may decide to pull up a people or a country by the roots and get rid of them. 8 But if they repent of their wicked lives, I will think twice and start over with them. 9 At another time I might decide to plant a people or country, 10 but if they don’t cooperate and won’t listen to me, I will think again and give up on the plans I had for them. 8 But if they repent of their wicked lives, I will think twice and start over with them. 9 At another time I might decide to plant a people or country, 10 but if they don’t cooperate and won’t listen to me, I will think again and give up on the plans I had for them.

God gave Jeremiah a pottery lesson. When he arrived he watched the potter working on piece of clay and turning it on the wheel. The potter would become dissatisfied with how the dish turned out and start again using the same clay. God then asked Jeremiah if He could do the same thing to the nation.

God’s answer was a call to reality. He said, “At any moment I may decide to pull up a people or a country by the roots and get rid of them”. This means America is on rocky ground unless something changes. Do we have a solution? Praise God yes. The answer is “REPENT OF THEIR WICKED LIVES.” God says if our nation will do this, He will start over with us and not give up on the plans, He has for us. The purpose of these designated days of prayer is that we might avert the judgment of the nation and experience God's blessings. We can change our nation’s future!!!

PRAYER THOUGHT: Dear Jesus we ask for nationwide repentance and return to right standing with God. Give us God driven leaders. Help us change our nation’s future. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for seeking God's will and praying for our Christian nation. Jesus paid the whole price for us so keep the first thing first! Day 8 of 40 Seeking God - 1 Samuel 4

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 –I Sam 4
l The Feast l

Oct 5_2012 I Sam 4
National Days of Prayer Day 8 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 4. As we continue our feast in 1 Samuel we see, the word of the Lord fulfilled just as God told Samuel in yesterday's feast. The Israelites overcome by the Philistines. The ark taken. The death of Eli. Just before dying Eli's daughter in law gives birth to Ichabod. “20 And about the time of her death the women who stood by her said to her, “Do not fear, for you have borne a son.” But she did not answer, nor did she regard it. 21 Then she named the child Ichabod, saying, “The glory has departed from Israel!” because the ark of God had been captured and because of her father-in-law and her husband. 22 And she said, “The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.”” I Samuel 4:20-22, New King James Version (NKJV). Our God is always true to his Word! Listen to him, pray and obey the Holy Spirit as He speaks to you and God will bless you.

40 Days of Prayer # 8 Prayer for our nation By Pastor Glen Aycock

May our hearts burn for God.
SCRIPTURE: ACTS 4:20;ROMANS1:16

for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard”, “for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Acts 4:20; Romans 1:16).

THE gospel will not reach the four corners of this world until it reaches the four corners of our own hearts. And until the gospel reaches the four corners of our hearts—the degree that our hearts are greatly set on Him—will it be compellingly advanced in our world.

When our hearts burn for God, we will be organically set on mission like the early apostles, saying proudly about the gospel, “for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard”, “for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Acts 4:20; Romans 1:16).

Indeed, a heart set on God is one that naturally positions itself for outward impact. This vertical obsession with God translates to an immediate horizontal expression with culture.”
[AUSTIN GENTRY/ writer of Christianity Applied

The above quote struck me and I wanted to pass it on. This is a website maintained by Christian students in North Carolina. Please think about the key thought concerning vertical obsession with God translates horizontal expression with culture. We cannot impact our Nations government unless we are willing to be sold out to God. We all have some repenting and praying to do. Use this day to deal with the issues that prevent you from a pure testimony to the nation. God bless you as you search your heart today.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Dear Heavenly Father we come on stricken heart for the sins we have committed as a nation. Give us strength to demand of our leaders that God be included in the government issues of this nation. Insulate us from the attacks of Satan to infiltrate our churches, young people and children. Satan seems to have a strategy to destroy the sanctity of the home and pipes lies into our homes through the media of television. Help us to complain to our stations about programs that make evil good and good evil. Help us to reclaim the ole time religion of faith and prayer and righteousness.
in Jesus Name: Amen!

Thank you for obeying and seeking God's will for our Christian nation. Thank Jesus for salvation and keep the first thing first! Oct 4_2012 I Sam 3
National Days of Prayer Day 7 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 3. As we feast we see, the word of the Lord first revealed to Samuel. At first Samuel thinks it is Eli calling out to him. Eli then reveals that it is God calling to Samuel. God tells Samuel the destruction of Eli's house. Because Samuel is faithful to tell Eli God's full message Samuel established to be a prophet. When God calls be faithful to say I am here Lord. “18 Then Samuel told him everything, and hid nothing from him. And he said, “It is the Lord. Let Him do what seems good to Him.”” I Samuel 3:18, 1 Samuel 3 New King James Version (NKJV). When you are asked what your God said answer fully and truthfully, God will bless you.

40 Days of Prayer # 7 Prayer for our nation By Pastor Glen Aycock

40 days of Prayer-Day 7
CONDITION FOR SUCCESSFUL PRAYER
SCRIPTURE: Brothers and Sisters hear and apply the word of God today. He is speaking!
Contrition {#2Ch 7:14 Isa 58:9} 1 "Shout! A full-throated shout! Hold nothing back—a trumpet-blast shout! Tell my people what’s wrong with their lives, face my family Jacob with their sins! 2 They’re busy, busy, busy at worship, and love studying all about me. To all appearances they’re a nation of right-living people—law-abiding, God-honoring. They ask me, ‘What’s the right thing to do?’ and love having me on their side.
6"This is the kind of fast day I’m after: to break the chains of injustice, get rid of exploitation in the workplace, free the oppressed, cancel debts. 7 What I’m interested in seeing you do is: sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad, being available to your own families.8 Do this and the lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once. Your righteousness will pave your way. 9 Then when you pray, GOD will answer. You’ll call out for help and I’ll say, ‘Here I am.’

Whole - heartedness {#Jer 29:13} "When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. "Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, 14 I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed."

Faith {#Mr 11:24} 22 Jesus was matter-of-fact: "Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, 23 and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly – shallying — and it’s as good as done. 24 That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. 25 And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins."

Righteousness {# Jas 5:16} 16 God said, "I am holy; you be holy. "17 You call out to God for help and he helps — he’s a good Father that way. But don’t forget, he’s also a responsible Father, and won’t let you get by with sloppy living.”

Obedience {# 1Jo 5:14] 14 Also, we’ve seen for ourselves and continue to state openly that the Father sent his Son as Savior of the world. 15 Everyone who confesses that Jesus is God’s Son participates continuously in an intimate relationship with God. 16 We know it so well, we’ve embraced it heart and soul, this love that comes from God. God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us.

PRAYER THOUGHT: Dear Jesus: We first all ask your help in meeting the conditions of answered prayer. We pray for our nation and help us select the leaders that will stand up for God and lead by his instructions. In the name of Jesus, Amen!

Thank you for being here in prayer for our Christian nation. Let us continue to tell the truth and keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. “Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth.” Proverbs 27:1 NKJV. Continue to join us in sharing His love.
