Will your choice be as God’s choice? –1 Sam 12 13 OCT

National Days of Prayer Day 16 of 40

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 12. Samuels has his farewell, and testifies his integrity. Samuel reproves the people, for turning from God. Thunder sent in harvest time as a witness to God’s people. “13 “Now therefore, here is the king whom you have chosen and whom you have desired. And take note, the Lord has set a king over you. 14 If you fear the Lord and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the Lord your God. ” I Samuel 12:13-14, New King James Version (NKJV). You and I will see the results of our political races in November. Pray that the Holy Spirit reveals for whom and what you vote for. The good advice that the Israelites received from Samuel;”If you fear the Lord and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the Lord your God.” Is great advice for our nation today.

40 Days of Prayer # 16 Prayer for our nation By Pastor, Glen Aycock;
SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 64: 1- 7
¶ “I’ve made myself available to those who haven’t bothered to ask. I’m here; ready to be found by those who haven’t bothered to look. I kept saying ‘I’m here, I’m right here’ to a nation that ignored me. 2 I reached out day after day to a people who turned their backs on me, People who make wrong turns, who insist on doing things their own way. 3 They get on my nerves, are rude to my face day after day, Make up their own kitchen religion, a potluck religious stew. 4 They spend the night in tombs to get messages from the dead, Eat forbidden foods and drink a witch’s brew of potions and charms. 5 They say, ‘Keep your distance. Don’t touch me. I’m holier than thou.’ These people gag me. I can’t stand their stench. 6 Look at this! Their sins are all written out—I have the list before me. I’m not putting up with this any longer. I’ll pay them the wages 7 they have coming for their sins. And for the sins of their parents lumped in, a bonus." GOD says so. "Because they’ve practiced their blasphemous worship, mocking me at their hillside shrines, I’ll let loose the consequences and pay them in full for their actions."
WHAT WILL BE USA WAGES???
In our devotional today I ask you to focus of the question about wages. Wages can mean reward for good acts or performance or recompense for evil. Acts 6:23 says the “wages of sin is death…” which shows the payoff of sin. How does God view this America we love? Since He cannot stand sin, does it offend Him? Today’s scripture states that He keeps a list and plans a payoff. During this forty days of prayer we are praying for the mercy and grace of God be bestowed on America. We deserve to be wiped off the face of the globe but God offers a gift in the rest of Romans 6:23. Let us seek “the gift of God is eternal life.” This requires repentance on our part and certainly as a nation it requires a return to being a “Nation under God” which is validated through our laws and actions.
PRAYER THOUGHT:
Dear Jesus we pray for a national revival of repentance. Show us who to choose in the coming election. We seek life for our nation. In Jesus Name, Amen!”
It is good to listen to the Lord God, continuing to pray that the Holy Spirit will give you the wisdom to Seek God’s will. May God richly bless us, keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV. I and my house will wait on our God, the Father of our salvation, and share him with others. Join us, direct your request for prayer to;mlitew8@yahoo.com. Please join us for prayer on the web at;http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html. Who appoints power over me? 1 Sam 11

National Days of Prayer Day 14 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of I Samuel 11. Samuel anoints Saul proclaiming him as King. The first fruit of King Saul was the saving of Jabesh-gileaking. We see God's will done concerning King Saul, as the new King. “12 Then the people said to Samuel, "Who is he who said, 'Shall Saul reign over us?' Bring the men, that we may put them to death." 13 But Saul said, "Not a man shall be put to death this day, for today the Lord has accomplished salvation in Israel." 14 Then Samuel said to the people, "Come, let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingdom there." 15 So all the people went to Gilgal, and there they made Saul king before the Lord in Gilgal. There they made sacrifices of peace offerings before the Lord, and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.” I Samuel 11:12-15, New King James Version (NKJV). God has given us the right to vote and how we vote is between us and God. I believe just as God appointed King Saul, He will use the Holy Spirit to to appoint our new leader from among us.

40 Days of Prayer # 15 Prayer for our nation By Connection! (Devotions for Every Day Life)
Prayer for America “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” –Romans 5:8
Years ago there was a pop psychology book entitled I’m Ok, You’re Ok. Along with many other such teachings, it has resulted in a nation in which everything is okay. Nobody should be judged unless they do something that really hurts someone else. And even then, he or she probably had a good reason for doing such a bad thing.

One of the casualties of such a belief is the concept of sin. Many churches have even quit talking about sin. It just sounds so judgmental! That practice is making it more and more difficult for Americans to accept the real gospel.

I say real gospel, because there is a gospel that is lacking in reality. It is a gospel that focuses solely on the love of God. But apart from an understanding of sin, that’s no gospel at all. Telling people that God loves them fits American culture. We believe we are all worthy of love and we all ought to love each other, and isn’t it good that God is in on this love thing too?

Romans 5:8 destroys this pop gospel. When we were at our worst and most unlovable, God’s amazing love stepped in. Without an understanding of ourselves as sinners, completely unlovable, we will never understand or accept the cross. The good news (gospel) is that because we are sinners, God, in the most daring act of love the universe has ever seen, sent His Son to take the penalty for our sin. Love for God and for our nation will cause us to proclaim the real gospel to those who desperately need to hear.

Prayer Points
Thank the Lord for demonstrating His great love for you by dying for you while you were still a sinner.
Pray for the preachers of America to fearlessly proclaim the Word of God regarding sin and God’s love.
Pray for a movement of God’s Spirit across America that opens hearts to receive the gospel.

My Prayer
Lord, I am in awe of Your amazing love that reached out to me while I was yet a sinner. Thank You for that good news! I ask that Christians around this nation would speak and live out the truth of the gospel daily. I pray for preachers who would stand fearlessly in their pulpits and proclaim the truth of Your Word concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. Help us never to separate Your love from our desperate sinfulness.
