Forgiveness & restoration. – 2 Sam 14

8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 14 l The Feast l Nov 15_2012 II Sam 14 Back To Admenu Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 13. Joab had a wise widow act as a mourner to procure Absalom’s king David’s son to return to Jerusalem. Absalom recalled is by his father but not allowed to be in David’s house. Absalom was a very handsome man and therefor his daughter Tamar was a beautiful woman. Absalom used treachery against Joab (he burned his crops) in order to gain admittance to his father’s presence. “32 Absalom answered Joab, “Behold, I sent word to you, ‘Come here, that I may send you to the king, to ask, “Why have I come from Geshur? It would be better for me to be there still.” Now therefore let me go into the presence of the king, and if there is guilt in me, let him put me to death.’” 33 Then Joab went to the king and told him, and he summoned Absalom. So he came to the king and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king, and the king kissed Absalom” 2 Samuel 14:32-33, English Standard Version (ESV). While Christ paid the price for our sin, never forget the high price he paid. If you sin on purpose or accident, turn from sin and ask God forgiveness, he will restore you to your loved ones just as he did Absalom. While sin separates us from God remember it also ruins any personal relationships with friends and family. We should endeavor to keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “Trouble and anguish have found me out, but your commandments are my delight.” Psalm 119:143 ESV. While sin can be the ruin of our lives, God can and will restore order and love. Through Jesus on his terms because there is no other name by which we can be saved. 8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 13 l The Feast l Nov 14_2012 II Sam 13 Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 13. David still pays for his sin being to easy on his children David’s son Ammon was infatuated with his sister he raped her and after that he hated his sister. Absalom spoiled by David, living in sin, murders his brother Ammon. David’s grief multiplies because he let’s his children live in sin. His son Absalom flees to Geshur. . “37 But Absalom fled and went to Talmai the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son day after day. 38 So Absalom fled and went to Geshur, and was there three years. 39 And the spirit of the king longed to go out to Absalom, because he was comforted about Amnon, since he was dead.” 2 Samuel 13:37-39, English Standard Version (ESV). Saints there is no white lie, there is no small sin. We can see David’s sin spread like cancer. Once again I say; “when we sin don’t blame anyone else or God. If you turn from sin and ask God forgiveness, he will heal you from the sin.” Prayer for our nation, copied from; Connection! As we ask ourselves, “why pray?” we can move from a lethargic attitude about prayer to a place of tremendous excitement as we join with God in what He is doing on this planet. Understanding the place of prayer in God’s plan can give us greater motivation and commitment to be the people of prayer that God is calling us to become.
