Are These Words Offensive?
August
12, 2013 – Ephesians 5
Today’s Feast
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast
reading Ephesians 5. At the rate we are moving through the
scripture we will read every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
“3 But
sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named
among you, as is proper among saints. 4 Let there be no filthiness nor
foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there
be thanksgiving. 5 For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually
immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no
inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.” Ephesians
5:3-5 ESV.
“31 “Therefore a man
shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two
shall become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it
refers to Christ and the church. 33 However, let each one of you love his
wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.” Ephesians
5:31-33 ESV.
Do you find any of the verses in today’s
Feast offensive or archaic? After
you’ve prayed and read Ephesians 5th Chapter, I would like to hear
(if only a Yes or No) from you in a post or an email.

“Or do you not know that your
body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You
are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your
body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV.

Are We Still Gentiles?
August 11, 2013 – Ephesians 4
Today’s Feast
Dear Saints,
“31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and
slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one
another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians
4:31-32 ESV.
Today’s topic is: “If we’ve accepted Jesus
and repented from our sin are we still Gentiles?” After you’ve prayed and read this Feast, I
would like to hear (if only a Yes or No) from you in a post or email.

hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than
many sparrows.” Luke

Is There A Purpose For Me?

Is There A Purpose For Me?
August 10, 2013 – Ephesians 3
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast
reading Ephesians 3. Paul
the apostle describes his ministry and qualifications in the spirit. God’s principled purposes in his calling. Paul
prays for those who live in Ephesus and gives thanksgiving in Jesus’ name. “20 Now to him who is able to
do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power
at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians
3:20-21 ESV. Do you know Jesus has
saved you to a purpose? If you don’t
understand your gifts and how to serve Jesus pray in his name. The Holy Spirit will guide you to your
gifts and purpose in Jesus. “[ God Is Our Fortress ] [ To
the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song. ] God is
our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 ESV. Jesus not only frees us from slavery to
sin. There is a purpose for everyone
in the family of God.

The Family Of God?
|
The Family Of God?
August 9, 2013 – Ephesians 2
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast
reading Ephesians 2. Paul
reminds the Ephesians (both Jew and Gentile) that they being saved by the
blood of Jesus are one in the spirit. “19 So then you are no longer
strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members
of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and
prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole
structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. 22 In
him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the
Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22 ESV. Because we were sinners saved by Jesus are
we any better than the sinner we are looking away from? Only in the difference that Jesus has made
in us! So when you pray for one lost
in sin remember when that prayer is answered you gain a sibling in Christ
Jesus. When Jesus has blesses the
object of our prayer that person becomes one with us in Jesus. “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of
them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all
numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7 ESV. Jesus knows who you earnestly pray for even
the number of hair on their head. When
that soul has received Jesus they are part of the family of God.

won’t call forever, now is the time to answer his call. Do you want to find

Each A Part Of The Whole!
Each A Part Of The Whole!
August 8, 2013 – Ephesians 1
Dear Saints,
Ephesians Overview; “This epistle was written when St.
Paul was a prisoner at Rome. The design appears to be to strengthen the
Ephesians in the faith of Christ, and to give exalted views of the love of
God, and of the dignity and excellence of Christ, fortifying their minds
against the scandal of the cross. He shows that they were saved by grace, and
that however wretched they once were, they now had equal privileges with the
Jews. He encourages them to persevere in their Christian calling, and urges
them to walk in a manner becoming their profession, faithfully discharging
the general and common duties of religion, and the special duties of
particular relations.” - Matthew Henry Concise
Paul greets the Ephesians with a reminder
that they were saved by the blood of Jesus.
This sacrifice made the Jew and Gentile one in Jesus. Paul thanks God
for their confidence and salvation in the name of Jesus. “20 that he worked in Christ
when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the
heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion,
and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one
to come. 22 And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over
all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills
all in all.” Ephesians 1:20-23 ESV. Saints remember we are all parts of the same
body in Jesus. Each dependent on the
other. “For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the
humble with salvation.”
Psalm 149:4 ESV. Jesus has blessed us all with redemption.
Jesus
is calling!” He won’t call forever, now is the time to answer his call. Do

“14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of
our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to
the world. 15 For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor
uncircumcision, but a new creation. 16 And as for all who walk by this rule,
peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.”
Galatians 6:14-16 ESV.

Set Free To What Purpose?
|
Set Free To What Purpose?
August 7, 2013 – Galatians 5 & 6
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast
reading Galatians 5 & 6.
Jesus set us free from slavery to our
natural sin. “1 For freedom Christ has set
us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery… 13
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an
opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. ” Galatians 5:1 English Standard Version
(ESV). Just as we talked about yesterday Jesus set us free. True freedom requires us to be aware of
those free saints around us that we don’t trample on their freedom. “25 If we live by the Spirit,
let us also keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited,
provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians
5:25-26 ESV. We are set free with a
purpose that will bless our Lord Jesus. If we are truly free we will endeavor
to work together supporting each other’s burdens. “1 Brothers, if anyone is
caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a
spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.” Galatians
6:1 ESV. Saints let’s all work
together to help others to be set free by Jesus. “14 But far be it from me to
boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has
been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 For neither circumcision counts
for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. 16 And as for all who walk
by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.” Galatians 6:14-16 ESV. Jesus
set us free to share his love.
Jesus
