Hallowed Be His Name!

Oct. 17, 2013 – Psalms 75

Psalms Chapter 75 - “The psalmist declares his resolution of executing judgment. (1-5) He rebukes the wicked, and concludes with resolutions to praise God. (6-10)” - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 75. The psalmist is speaking about the powers appointed over all men.  All blessings and promotions come from God.  6 For not from the east or from the west
    and not from the wilderness comes lifting up,
7 but it is God who executes judgment,
    putting down one and lifting up another.”   Psalm 75:6-7 - English Standard Version (ESV).  When God’s people constantly complained to mosses and each other in the wilderness to what avail (See Numbers 14:26-30)? Does this mean they should bury their head in the sand and ignore their circumstance?  By no means!  If we don’t like what is happening to or around us we need to turn to our God!  “14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV
Thank Jesus there is no other name under heaven from whom blessings flow.  May the whole earth be filled with his glory!
Amen and Amen!”

His Love Never Runs Out On Us!

Today’s Feast

What Love Lifts Us Up?

Oct. 16, 2013 – Psalms 74

Psalms Chapter 74 - “The desolations of the sanctuary. (1-11) Pleas for encouraging faith. (12-17) Petitions for deliverances. (18-23)” - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 74. The psalmist ostensibly is speaking to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple by the Chaldeans.  He is holding on to his faith tightly during these obscure times.  18 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
    who alone does wondrous things.
19 Blessed be his glorious name forever;
    may the whole earth be filled with his glory!
Amen and Amen!”   Psalm 74:18-19 - English Standard Version (ESV).  When turmoil and circumstance face us we are blessed in that we can turn to Jesus prayer.  Jesus is our friend whether in good or bad times.  In good times he blesses and guides us.  In corrupt times he lifts us up, out of the (sin) mire (see Psalm 89:26).  “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.Psalm 19:14  ESV.  Jesus preserves and blesses us! Amen!

Jesus is calling you!  The plan he has for your life is unequalled in the universe.   Do you want to find peace and purpose?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link;

What Satisfies My Heart?

Today’s Feast

What Do We Really Need?

Oct. 15, 2013 – Psalms 73

Psalms Chapter 73 - “The psalmist's temptation. (1-14) How he gained a victory over it. (15-20) How he profited by it. (21-28)” - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 73. The psalmist begins tempted by the apparent success of the rich and famous. This is until he sees the folly of their ways.  18 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
    who alone does wondrous things.
19 Blessed be his glorious name forever;
    may the whole earth be filled with his glory!
Amen and Amen!”   Psalm 73:18-19 - English Standard Version (ESV).  It is always amazing to me to see when successful people fall into ruin.  Whether it is their health or their finances.  Never satisfied they may turn to drugs to enhance their feelings.  They gain fortunes more than I’ll make in a lifetime, and then squander their money away. What is it that makes us always want more?   It’s in our flesh and until we set our heart on that which is spiritual we will never be satisfied (see Mark 14:38).  “22 Therefore you are great, O Lord God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.2 Samuel 7:22 ESV.  Lord please let our need and treasure be with Jesus! Amen!

Are you dissatisfied today?  Do you think there should be more to life?   Do you want to find peace and purpose?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link;
