What’s Your Hurry?

Today’s Feast What’s Your Hurry? Oct. 28, 2013 – Psalms 86   Psalms Chapter 86 - “The psalmist pleads his earnestness, and the mercy of God, as reasons why his prayer should be heard. (1-7) He renews his requests for help and comfort. (8-17)” - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 86.  The psalmist is calling on God to search his heart.  He is beseeching God for grace, love and salvation.  “16 Turn to me and be gracious to me;     give your strength to your servant,     and save the son of your maidservant. 17 Show me a sign of your favor,     that those who hate me may see and be put to shame     because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.”   Psalm 86:12-13 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Look around Saints, what is the condition of our land?  Is it pleasing to God? What is it we need to pray for in the name of Jesus?  If you’re not saved ask God to save you before it is too late.  Have you walked in your own wisdom away from Jesus (See Colossians 3:5-6)?   Any time lived away from or without God is wasted. “for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.”  1 Peter 1:24-25   ESV.  The most important thing you can do for yourself and your family is to draw nearer to God.  There is no reason, to live in sin Jesus overcame death for the sin of the world (See Romans 1:19-20).  Sin is spiritual cancer and the wages of sin are Death (See Romans 6:23)!   Accept God’s gift and join us in the harvest.   Lord please forgive our sins, draw near to us and let us draw near to You.  Hallelujah! Amen! Today’s Feast Praise His Holy Name! Oct. 27, 2013 – Psalms 85   Psalms Chapter 85 - “Prayers for the continuance of former mercies. (1-7) Trust in God's goodness. (8-13)” - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 85.  The psalmists are asking God to continue in the covenant He made with His people.  They proclaim their trust is in God’s goodness.  “12 Yes, the Lord will give what is good,     and our land will yield its increase. 13 Righteousness will go before him     and make his footsteps a way.”   Psalm 85:12-13 - English Standard Version (ESV).  I myself and many of my friends are not happy with the turn our country is taking.   I don’t like seeing my brothers and sisters with blood pressure raised because of politicians.  I try to tell them that we will be alright if we just trust Jesus (See Romans 8:28).  “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”  Hebrews 4:12   ESV.  Keep your heart and eyes on Jesus wherever you go whatever you do.  There is salvation in no other, he alone has your back (See Matthew 11:29-30).  We thank you Jesus!  Hallelujah! Can I Stay In God’s Temple?

Today’s Feast Living In His Temple? Oct. 26, 2013 – Psalms 84    Psalms Chapter 84 - “ The psalmist expresses his affection to the ordinances of God. (1-7) His desire towards the God of the ordinances. (8-12)” - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 84.  The psalmist is expressing his fondness to the edicts of God.  His is passion and desire of keeping the decrees in the temple God on his heart at all times.   “11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;     the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold     from those who walk uprightly. 12 O Lord of hosts,     blessed is the one who trusts in you!”   Psalm 84:11-12 - English Standard Version (ESV). Like the psalmist I usually feel like I don’t want our church fellowship to end on Sunday.  If I think about it I am never alone with Jesus (See 2 Timothy 1:14) for he sealed me with God’s Holy Spirit.  Jesus is in my heart and his praise is continually on my lips.  “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”  2 Timothy 3:16-17   ESV.  Jesus holds up and supports every saint as a messenger of God’s Word (See 2 Corinthians 5:20).  I thank Jesus for the love he put’s in the heart of believers.  Amen!
