The Savior, Who is Christ The Lord!
Dec. 19, 2013– Philippians 3
Philippians 3 “The
apostle cautions the Philippians against judaizing false teachers, and
renounces his own former privileges. (1-11) Expresses earnest desire to be
found in Christ; also his pressing on toward perfection; and recommends his
own example to other believers. (12-21)” – Matthew Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Philippians. By reading Philippians 3. Paul is telling the Philippians that salvation
is not given for keeping law. He
reiterates salvation is the gift of God paid for through Jesus. “20 But
our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus
Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by
the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” Philippians 3:20 - English Standard Version (ESV). We are saved by our Savior Jesus the
Christmas gift to all people (see Luke 2:11). We are sharing Jesus
with all mankind; Jesus is the gift for the Christmas season. “76 And
you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go
before the Lord to prepare his ways,77 to give knowledge of salvation to his
people in the forgiveness of their sins, 78 because of the tender mercy of
our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high” Luke 1:68-70 ESV. We thank God the
Father for our citizenship in heaven through Jesus God coming to us as a baby
in the Christmas season (see Philippians 3:20).
Lord we invite all men to share in
your Christmas gift! Hallelujah!

Our Example Of Humility Is Jesus!
Today’s Feast
Christ Is Our
Example Of Humility!
Dec. 18, 2013– Philippians 2
Philippians 2 “Exhortations to a kind, humble spirit
and behaviour. (1-4) The example of Christ. (5-11) Diligence in the affairs
of salvation, and to be examples to the world. (12-18) The apostle's purpose
of visiting Philippi. (19-30)” – Matthew Henry Concise
Dear Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Philippians. By reading Philippians 2. Paul is asking the Philippians to be Christ
like in every aspect of their life as they follow Jesus. “15 that
you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the
midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in
the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ
I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. 17 Even if I am
to be poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrificial offering of your
faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18 Likewise you also should be
glad and rejoice with me.” Philippians 2:15-18 - English Standard Version (ESV). The scripture we read here is as significant
today as it was when Paul wrote this letter (see 2 Timothy 3:16). We should be glad and
rejoicing as we share the Christmas message with a world that may be more
receptive today than any other time right now during the Christmas season. “Blessed
be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people and has
raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, as he
spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,” Luke 1:68-70 ESV. We continue to
celebrate Jesus’ birth with joy and thanksgiving (see Philippians 2:14-15) and good will for all mankind.
Thank you Jesus for keeping us that
the Father has given you! Hallelujah!

“12
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be
persecuted, 13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse,
deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have
learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom[a] you learned it 15 and
how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which
are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:12-15 ESV.
