Celebrate Jesus On Christmas Eve! Dec. 24, 2013– Colossians 4 Colossians 4  “Masters to do their duty towards servants. (1) Persons of all ranks to persevere in prayer, and Christian prudence. (2-6) The apostle refers to others for an account of his affairs. (7-9) Sends greetings; and concludes with a blessing. (10-18)” -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu - Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Colossians.  By reading Colossians 4. In Colossians 4 Paul is urging those in power to take care of those who work for them just as God has cared for them.  Continuing constantly in prayer in the name of Jesus.  We are to be examples of Christian life in no matter what we are doing.  Paul prays that God’s grace be with them in his closing greetings to the Colossians.  “17 And say to Archippus, “See that you fulfill the ministry that you have received in the Lord.” 18 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.”  Colossians 4:24-25  - English Standard Version (ESV).   How do you think Paul would be closing the epistle if we were the saints he was addressing today?  He would probably say never to cease celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus.  Let our light continue to shine in its fullness for those wise enough to be seeking Jesus. “1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, ‘Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? How Do We Share Christ’s Birth? Dec. 23, 2013– Colossians 3 Colossians 3  “The Colossians exhorted to be heavenly-minded; (1-4) to mortify all corrupt affections; (5-11) to live in mutual love, forbearance, and forgiveness; (12-17) and to practise the duties of wives and husbands, children, parents, and servants. (18-25)” -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu - Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Colossians.  By reading Colossians 3. In Colossians 3 Paul is telling the Colossians to keep their minds on the things of God.  To treat everyone with the love they learned from Jesus including their spouses and children.  We are to be examples of Christian life in no matter what we are doing.   “24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. In Colossians 2 Paul is saying there, is no room in our life for the condemnation of the flesh.  There is no reason for us to bow down to men or angels.
