Rejoice In God

Today’s Feast   May 15, 2014 – Jeremiah 9 Rejoice In God clic aquí en español * Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three year.  Gods Not Dead! “31 so that, as it is written,  “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”” 1 Corinthians 1:31 Jeremiah Chapter 9, “The people are corrected, Jerusalem is destroyed. (1-11) The captives suffer in a foreign land.(12-22) God's loving-kindness, He threatens the enemies of his people. (23-26)”  -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 9.  Jeremiah is weeping (see Jeremiah 9:1-11) because of the destruction of God’s people.  Because they have forsaken God’s law (see Jeremiah 9:12-22) God will punish and scatter His people.  God tells the people not to boast in their own understanding (see Jeremiah 9:23-26) rather they should boast and glorify in God. “25 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will punish all those who are circumcised merely in the flesh— 26 Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all who dwell in the desert who cut the corners of their hair, for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.”“ Jeremiah 9:25-26   English Standard Versions (ESV).  There is no reason for Christians to boast in their own understanding (see 1 Thessalonians 1:5) because they gain understanding from the Holy Spirit.  “5 As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.“ Ecclesiastes 11:5  ESV.  Because we cannot know the mind of God (see Proverbs 3:5-6) we lean on Jesus and the Holy Spirit for understanding and delivery from sin.  Let us give God the glory (see Romans 14:18) in every part of our lives. Today’s Feast May 14, 2014 – Jeremiah 8 Darkness, Sin and Treachery clic aquí en español * Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three year.  Gods Not Dead! “32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.”” Ezekiel 18:32 Jeremiah Chapter 8, “The remains of the dead exposed. (1-3) The stupidity of the people, compared with the instinct of the brute creation. (4-13) The alarm of the invasion, and lamentation. (14-22)”  -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site    Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 8.  The bones of their ancestors will be disturbed (see Jeremiah 8:1-3) to remind God’s people that God’s law extends past the grave.  Because they are not turning from their evil (see Jeremiah 8:4-13) God’s rewards will slip away.  People who have abandoned or denied their Lord God (see Jeremiah 8:14-22) have abandoned all hope; “22 Is there no balm in Gilead?  Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my people not been restored?“ Jeremiah 8:22  English Standard Versions (ESV).  Why in the world do those who know of God’s love deny Him?  Their deeds are evil (see John 3:19) they prefer worldly goods and riches over God’s love.  The reason they attack Jesus at every opportunity (see John 3:20) is that light exposes their evil hearts.  “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. The Temple Of The Lord

Today’s Feast clic aquí en español * May 13, 2014 – Jeremiah 7 The Temple Of The Lord (Evil in the Land) Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three year.  Gods Not Dead! “God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I am has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14 Jeremiah Chapter 7, “Confidence in the temple is vain. (1-16) The provocation by persisting in idolatry. (17-20) God justifies his dealings with them. (21-28) And threatens vengeance. (29-34)”  -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 7.  God continues warning Jerusalem because of their evil ways, (see Jeremiah 7:1-16) because they are trusting in religion rather than God.  Why is God telling Jeremiah not to pray for Judah and Jerusalem?  Because they are trusting in (manmade) religions (see Jeremiah 7:17-20) they deny God’s singular glory.  When God brought His people out of Egypt did He tell them to make offerings to Him? The answer is NO!  God said to them (see Jeremiah 7:21-28) Obey my voice.  They perish because they are evil and un-repentant; (see Jeremiah 7:29-34) they don’t obey God.  “34 And I will silence in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride,  for the land shall become a waste.“ Jeremiah 7:34  English Standard Versions (ESV).  What is it that God requires of us Saints?  That we repent and turn to Jesus (see John 14:6) for salvation.  That we love God with all our hearts and minds and (see Matthew 6:19-21) love our neighbors as ourselves.  “23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?“  Luke 9:23-25 ESV.  We shouldn’t worry so much about (see Matthew 22:17-21) where the world is heading.  Instead we should be concentrating on (see James 4:13-15) what God is doing in our lives. Disaster for Jerusalem

Today’s Feast   clic aquí en español * May 12, 2014 – Jeremiah 6 Disaster for Jerusalem Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three year.  Gods Not Dead! “14 Then the Lord said to me, “Out of the north disaster shall be let loose upon all the inhabitants of the land.” Jeremiah 1:14 Jeremiah Chapter 6, “The invasion of Judea. (1-8) The justice of God's proceedings. (9-17) All methods used to amend them had been without success. (18-30)”  -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 6.  God is warning Jerusalem because of their sin, (see Jeremiah 6:1-8) disaster from the north is imminent if they don’t repent.  Why do people who glory in sin, hate and deny God’s very existence?  The Word of God is condemning them (see Jeremiah 6:9-17) and in their ignorance they deny God.  While God is slow to anger and bring wrath (see Jeremiah 6:18-30) he will not put up with peoples sins forever.  “29 The bellows blow fiercely; the lead is consumed by the fire; in vain the refining goes on, for the wicked are not removed. 30 Rejected silver they are called, for the Lord has rejected them.”“ Jeremiah 6:29-30  English Standard Versions (ESV).  What is it that saints give up when they repent and turn to Jesus for salvation?   They are only giving up the perishables for that which will (see Matthew 6:19-21) never perish. “38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”“  Acts 2:38-39 ESV.  Remember our fight is not against flesh and blood (see Ephesians 6:11-13) the spiritual forces of evil.  We continue to prayerfully read God’s Word (see Romans 10:17) because this is how we build our faith and nourish our spirit.
