“11 Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith."” Galatians 3:11

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews Chapter 10;The insufficiency of sacrifices for taking away sin, The necessity and power of the sacrifice of Christ for that purpose. (1-18) An argument for holy boldness in the believer's access to God through Jesus Christ, And for steadfastness in faith, and mutual love and duty. (19-25) The danger of apostacy. (26-31) The sufferings of believers, and encouragement to maintain their holy profession. (32-39)- Matthew Henry Concise.
The law of God pointed out sin, priests and men had to renew their sacrifices annually (see Hebrews 10:1-10) only the blood sacrifice of Jesus cleans us once and forever.  While the sacrifices under the law (Old Covenant) only atoned for past sin (see Hebrews 10:11-18) the willing sacrifice by Jesus (New Covenant) paid the full price for all of our sins.  While faith in Jesus himself takes us through the curtain into the holy of holies (see Hebrews 10:19-25) we continue to encourage each other by meeting in fellowship.  Being once saved then continuing to sin tramples Jesus underfoot, (see Hebrews 10:26-31) because there is no further sacrifice for our sin.  The happiness of saints in heaven lasts forever (see Hebrews 10:32-39) because living and dying in faith preserves our souls; “38 but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” 39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. Hebrews 10:38-39 English Standard Version (ESV).  If you feel your faith is diminishing (see Romans 10:17) pray and read the Word of God; “35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.  Matthew 24:35 ESV.  Let us be sure of the love and faith we find in God’s Word, all people who have faith in Jesus, (see Romans 1:16) are saved already because He was crucified once for all sin.

“25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:25

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews   Chapter 9;The Jewish tabernacle and its utensils. (1-5) Their use and meaning. (6-10) These fulfilled in Christ. (11-22) The necessity, superior dignity, and power of his priesthood and sacrifice. (23-28)- Matthew Henry Concise.
The first covenant included rules for worship and a tent with utilities (see Hebrews 9:1-5) used in worshiping God.  This is where the priests went to do their duties (see Hebrews 9: 6-10) including blood sacrifices for their own and God’s people’s sins.  Jesus our high priest came to us with a new covenant (see Hebrews 9:11-22) which includes redemption through the blood of Christ.  You and I suffer death once, then the judgment (see Hebrews 9:23-28) Jesus died once to cover all the sins of mankind;  “27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.Hebrews 9:27-28 English Standard Version (ESV).   Those who wait on the Lord (see Isaiah 11:11) will rejoice in the second coming of Jesus; “4 and you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. Isaiah 12:4 ESV.  You and I are to proclaim (see 1 John 5:6) salvation in the name of Jesus.  We are to carry the good news throughout the whole world (see Matthew 28:18-20) baptizing them in the name of the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  We are redeemed by the blood of Christ!

High Priest of a Better Covenant Jesus

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three year.  Gods Not Dead!

17 For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Hebrews 2:17

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews    Chapter 8; Verses 1-6 The substance, or summary, of what had been declared was, that Christians had such a High Priest as they needed… The promises of all spiritual blessings, and of eternal life, revealed in the gospel, and made sure through Christ, are of infinitely greater value. Let us bless God that we have a High Priest that suits our helpless condition.
Verses 7-13 The superior excellence of the priesthood of Christ, above that of Aaron, is shown from that covenant of grace, of which Christ was Mediator…   Let us search whether we are taught by the Holy Spirit to know Christ, so as uprightly to love, fear, trust, and obey him. All worldly vanities, outward privileges, or mere notions of religion, will soon vanish away, and leave those who trust in them miserable for ever.” - Matthew Henry Concise
Today we celebrate our independence in the USA; (see  John 8:36 ) only those set free by Jesus are truly free.

imageHere is a link to and excerpts from Pastor Glen’s devotional (1st published in 2013)Running Off To Assert Your ‘Independence’?
“SCRIPTURES: Jer 2:29 "What do you have against me, running off to assert your ‘independence’?" GOD’s Decree.

I am writing this on July 4th as we celebrate our independence as a nation. Our forefathers and founders of our nation were Godly men. They believed in God and sought His direction as they voted and formed the laws of the land… … We have chosen the politically correct posture rather than standing up for Christian principle… Moral laws have been declared outdated and we have accepted moral decline as a substitute. Sins that were declared to be an abomination by the Lord have been deemed permissible and normal…

Where are we headed as a nation? The scripture today raises a question for America to answer. What do we have against God? He has blessed us so exceedingly and what is our response? The Bible says, “Woe unto those who call evil good, and good evil.” We must have revival for survival here in America. Let us join arms and hearts and as a nation of Godly people repent and pray, “Lord Send Revival and Let it begin in me.”

PRAYER THOUGHT:
Dear Jesus, we need to have revival spread through our nation and cause a national repentance and movement of God. We ask that once again Godliness be a mark of our nation and realize that greatness is only achieved through the presence of God in our hearts. This day we pledge seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness for the sake of our nation and our children. In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen”
