Today’s
Feast
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“
3
Then let us arise and go up to Bethel, so that I may make there an
altar to the God who answers me in the day of my distress and has
been with me wherever I have gone.”"
Genesis
35:3
New King James Version (NKJV).
Dear
Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Genesis
Chapter
35;
“God
commands Jacob to go to Beth-el, He puts away idols from his
family.
(1-5)
Jacob
builds an altar, Death of Deborah, God blesses Jacob. (6-15)
Death of Rachel. (16-20)
Reuben's crime, The death of Isaac.
(21-29)”
-
Matthew
Henry Concise
This
is what I saw while feasting
in
Genesis
Chapter
35;
Today
we see God
telling Jacob to go to Bethel.
Jacob
obeys God and instructs his people to put away all false god's
(see
Genesis
35:1-5)
they gave Jacob all the foreign gods, as well as the rings in
their ears, and Jacob buried them.
Because
Jacob was obedient, (see
Genesis
35:6-15)
God appeared to Jacob again and blessed him and changed his name
to Israel. Because Jacob (Israel) believed God, God gave him
twelve sons; ”23
The sons of Leah were Reuben, Jacob’s oldest son, and Simeon,
Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun. 24 The sons of Rachel were
Joseph and Benjamin. 25 The sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s servant,
were Dan and Naphtali. 26 The sons of Zilpah, Leah’s servant,
were Gad and Asher. These were Jacob’s sons born to him in
Paddan-aram.”
Genesis
35:23-26
NKJV. Obedience
brings
me back to Issue Number One, Salvation through the blood of the
Lamb. Our
salvation came with a calling a mission if you will; “18
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has
been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to
observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with
you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
Matthew
28:18-20
NKJV. In
obedience we share God's gift to
us through the son of God
Jesus; (see
John
3:16)
which
is forgiveness
to people lost in sin. If
we are obedient we will worship Jesus in spirit; “10
God
is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and
truth.””
John
4:24
NKJV
Would
you like to sleep like a child again? Can
you hear Jesus calling to you today? Are you ready to answer
God’s call? If the answer is yes; today is the day of your
salvation! Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit
anything (see
Revelation
3:20)
Jesus is at knocking at your door this minute. He wants you to
come just as you are, surrendering all! Will you answer Him
today? Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in
your life? If the answer is yes to any of these questions please

Are We Obedient?
Tuesday, January 27, 2015
Don't Fear Men!
Today’s Feast
Don't
Fear
Men!
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness
of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly
places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may
be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand."
Ephesians
6:12-13
New
King James Version (NKJV).
Dear
Saints,
Today
we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Genesis
Chapter
34;
“Dinah
defiled by Shechem.
(1-19)
The ShecheChapter
34mites
murdered by Simeon and Levi. (20-31)”
-
Matthew
Henry Concise
As
we continue our Feast in Genesis
34,
we
see Jacob’s daughter being shamed and raped. Immediately I
thought of a woman currently living somewhere in the far east,
where the people worship a strange god.;”2
And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the
country, saw her, he took her and lay with her, and violated her.”
Genesis
34:2
ESV.
It
was a sory I heard on the
news, the exact same thing I thought. You might be very surprised
at how
they
handled it over there. They put the young girl in prison for
adultery. I understand she was lucky her and the baby were not
executed. I thought surely this is not the story to share with the
saints so I prayed
went
on to read
God's Word. Then
I saw it God wants to remind us that he knows each and everyone of
us, even
down to the hairs on our head.
“7
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear
therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.“
Luke
12:7
NKJV.
No
believer should be scared,
(see
Luke
12:4)
lonely
or depressed
or upset at the world. Jesus
our friend and savior promised us that
we can bear up under the burdens He gives us; “28
Come
to Me, all you
who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29
Take
My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in
heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew
11:28-29.
So
Don't
Fear Men,
or
worry
about
what men can do to you! “28
And
do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But
rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in
hell.”
Matthew
10:28
Do
you hear Jesus calling to you? Are you ready to trust God?
If the answer is yes; today is the day of your salvation!
Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit anything
(see Revelation
3:20)
