What Does Jesus Require?

Today's Feast

Aug. 29, 2015 – Luke 18
What Does Jesus Require?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. W e will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.Galatians 3:28, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast reading Luke, Chapter 18; The parable of the importunate widow. (1-8) The Pharisee and the publican. (9-14) Children brought to Christ. (15-17) The ruler hindered by his riches. (18-30) Christ foreshows his death. (31-34) A blind man restored to sight.(35-43)- Matthew Henry Concise.

When we attempt to lead someone to our Lord, should we require that they approach God under our conditions? Do we tell them, “exactly” what God expects of them? Maybe we should just tell them that, if they want better life accept Jesus, into their heart? “15 Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 17 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”Luke 18:15-17, ESV. Did Jesus require more from us than our faith in him? “7 And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? 8 I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?””Luke 18:7-8, ESV. Will Jesus find “faith on earth”? Keep in mind that our faith comes from hearing the Word of God. We remain thankful for our salvation, His love, and all He has done for us. “[The Righteous Shall Live by Faith] 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.Romans 1:16, ESV. Let’s continue to keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus.

I send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

It's A Soldiers Life!

Today's Feast

It's A Soldiers Life!

29 Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.John 6:29, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast reading Luke, Chapter 17; “To avoid offences, To pray for increase of faith, Humility taught.11-19. Ten lepers cleansed.(1-10) Christ's kingdom. (20-37)- Matthew Henry Concise.

I’ve said many times that Jesus has a mission for every person saved. If you’re not sure what your personal mission is pray and ask our father to reveal it to you. In the meantime saints in Chapter 17 of Luke, Jesus tells us how we need to act in relation to our sisters and brothers; “1 And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, 4 and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”Luke 17:1-4, ESV. If you have been saved then, you are a soldier engaged in God’s mission. God doesn’t commission undercover saints. It is important for all of us to understand that we are at war; “11 Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.Ephesians 6:11-13 ESV. That being said it is good that this Feast is an important to in your armory. The Feast also fills another need (Romans 10:17) in that reading from God’s Word our faith is increased. “9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10 and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.Colossians 2:9-10, ESV. Continue on, keeping the first thing first. That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus.
