Today's Feast
What
About Works?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. W e will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“23
Jesus answered him, “If
anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love
him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
John
14:23 ,
English
Standard Version (ESV).
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue
the Feast reading Joshua, Chapter
2;
“Rahab
receives and hides two Israelites. (1-7) Rahab and the spies.
(8-21) The return of the spies. (22-24)”
-
Matthew
Henry Concise.
In
Luke we saw Jesus marvel at the faith of the Centurion. As we read
the second chapter of Joshua we marvel at the faith or believable
acceptance of God by Rahab. “8
Before the men lay down, she came up to them on the roof 9 and
said to the men, “I know that the Lord has given you the land,
and that the fear of you has fallen upon us, and that all the
inhabitants of the land melt away before you. 10 For we have heard
how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you
came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the
Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you
devoted to destruction. 11 And as soon as we heard it, our hearts
melted, and there was no spirit left in any man because of you,
for the Lord your God, he is God in the heavens above and on the
earth beneath.”
Joshua
2:8-11,
ESV. Did you think that Rahab would be rewarded for her faith? “By
faith Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were
disobedient, because she had given a friendly welcome to the
spies.”
Hebrews
11:31,
ESV. So as we examine the actions of Rahab we see that her faith
has produced works. “And
in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by
works when she received the messengers and sent them out by
another way?“
James
2:25,
ESV. In the same personal manner your faith and relationship with
Jesus will produce good works; “17
So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show
me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith
by my works.19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the
demons believe—and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you
foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?”
James
2:17-20,
ESV. Work to keep the faith, by keeping first thing first. That
is salvation through the blood of the Lamb. “I
hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments.”
Psalm
119:60
ESV.
I
send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is
willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
Join the Saint’s marching in the image of God? You are an eternal being; Where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with Jesus! If you want to be sure, turn from sin and just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour. Amen!“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strives to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus. If you have trouble finding a good bible believing church in your neighborhood send me an email and I’ll see if I can help; mike@admenu.com. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything see; admenu.com/calling.html

“7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son
cleanses us from all sin.”
1
John 1:7,
English
Standard Version (ESV).
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue
the Feast reading Joshua,
Chapter
1;
“Here
is the history of Israel's passing into the land of Canaan,
conquering and dividing it, under the command of Joshua, and their
history until his death. The power and truth of God in fulfilling
his promises to Israel, and in executing his justly threatened
vengeance on the Canaanites, are wonderfully displayed. This
should teach us to regard the tremendous curses denounced in the
word of God against impenitent sinners, and to seek refuge in
Christ Jesus.
The
Lord appoints Joshua to succeed Moses. (1-4)
God promises to assist Joshua. (5-9)Preparation
to pass over Jordan. (10-15)
The people promise to obey Joshua. (16-18)
” -
Matthew
Henry Concise.
As
we read today's
feast we see Joshua receive a commission from God;
“1
After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to
Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant, 2 “Moses my servant is
dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this
people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of
Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I
have given to you, just as I promised to Moses.”
Joshua
1:1-3,
ESV. God
also told Joshua to be strong to do all that God commands;
“
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you
shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to
do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make
your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I
not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened,
and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever
you go.””
Joshua
1:8-9 ,
ESV. God
gave us a commission;
“18
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on
earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I
have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end
of the age.””
Matthew
28:18-20,
ESV. Will
you be like Joshua and accept God's Commission? Keep
the faith keeping first thing first. That is salvation through the
blood of the Lamb, Jesus.
I
send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is
willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
