How We Build New Temples!

Today’s Feast

Feb. 11, 2016 1 Kings 6

How We Build New Temples!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 6; “The building of Solomon's temple. (1-10) Promise given concerning the temple. (11-14) Particulars respecting the temple. (15-38)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we follow the building of the temple by Solomon’s to completion. The promise given Solomon concerning the temple is extended to us through Jesus. “11 Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, 12 “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father. 13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.””  1 Kings 6:11-13, ESV.   We continue to serve our awesome God through adoption into the family by His grace in Christ Jesus.  It is by joy we walk in God’s statutes, obeying Him, loving God’s rules and keeping all of His commandments, as we share Jesus and walk with Him.  “Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters… “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 ESV.  We thank Jesus that we have been selected to carry forth the message of salvation.  We will keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  As long as God is willing and remembering that He is not willing that any should perish.  The Holy Spirit will continue to give us direction and the remembrance of Jesus’ Word as we serve God.  Each and every soul that accepts Jesus becomes a new temple filled with the Holy Spirit. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. Today’s Feast

Feb. 10, 2016 1 Kings 5

God Has It Covered!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 5; “Solomon's agreement with Hiram. (1-9) Solomon's workmen for the temple. (10-18)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully read in, 1 Kings 5. There is no opposition (Satan), or other enemies at his door, so Solomon enters into an agreement with Hiram to build the temple. Solomon drafts workmen for the temple.  Because God has granted him wisdom he works out livable schedules for the workforce. “13 King Solomon drafted forced labor out of all Israel, and the draft numbered 30,000 men. 14 And he sent them to Lebanon, 10,000 a month in shifts. They would be a month in Lebanon and two months at home. Adoniram was in charge of the draft. 15 Solomon also had 70,000 burden-bearers and 80,000 stonecutters in the hill country, 16 besides Solomon’s 3,300 chief officers who were over the work, who had charge of the people who carried on the work. 17 At the king’s command they quarried out great, costly stones in order to lay the foundation of the house with dressed stones. 18 So Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders and the men of Gebal did the cutting and prepared the timber and the stone to build the house.”  1 Kings 5:13-18, ESV.   When we are faithfully serving God and he hands us a task, God provides the means to complete it. The Holy Spirit provides the wisdom to complete our tasks in a manner that honors God.  “33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”John 16:33, ESV. We have Jesus love to guide us in his purpose.  He has given us a mandate to carry the Gospel message to the entire world. In doing so we keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  The Holy Spirit will give us the wisdom and the words to complete our tasks, in God’s name. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

The World Or The Wisdom?

The World Or The Wisdom?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 4; “Solomon's court. (1-19) Solomon's dominions, His daily provision. (20-28) The wisdom of Solomon. (29-34)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully read in, 1 Kings 4.   Solomon’s courts were chosen for their abilities and their allegiance to Solomon. Solomon’s subjects were as many as the sand by the sea. The wisdom of Solomon; ”29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore, 30 so that Solomon's wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt. 31 For he was wiser than all other men, wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol, and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. 32 He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005. 33 He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of the wall. He spoke also of beasts, and of birds, and of reptiles, and of fish. 34 And people of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and from all the kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.”  1 Kings 4:29-34, ESV. God asks you what you want in life when he offers you salvation.  Do you want things of this world or the wisdom to walk with God in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart?  Just remember that God is not willing that any should perish, he wants all people to come to Him through Jesus for Salvation. “[Jesus Comforts His Disciples] “1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.John 14:1-3, ESV.  Think about it are you really giving anything up to walk with Jesus?  You get rest in this life, a life that you cannot keep anyway.   In return for walking with God you get life that you cannot lose, everlasting life in God’s kingdom.  Let’s keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Walk with Jesus and share his love. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

To Walk With Jesus?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, Ephesians 5:15, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 3; “Solomon's marriage. (1-4) His vision, His prayer for wisdom. (5-15) The judgment of Solomon. (16-28)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Thank you for sharing the Feast.  Today we prayerfully read in, 1 Kings 3.  Solomon’s marries the Pharaoh’s daughter.  In his vision, Solomon remembers king David walked with God in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart. His prayer for wisdom pleased God. The judgment of Solomon, concerning the fate of a child; “23 Then the king said, “The one says, ‘This is my son that is alive, and your son is dead’; and the other says, ‘No; but your son is dead, and my son is the living one.’” 24 And the king said, “Bring me a sword.” So a sword was brought before the king. 25 And the king said, “Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one and half to the other.” 26 Then the woman whose son was alive said to the king, because her heart yearned for her son, “Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and by no means put him to death.” But the other said, “He shall be neither mine nor yours; divide him.” 27 Then the king answered and said, “Give the living child to the first woman, and by no means put him to death; she is his mother.” 28 And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.” 1 Kings 3:23-28, ESV. “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Matthew 11:28, ESV.  Think about it are you really giving anything up to walk with Jesus?  You get rest in this life, a life that you cannot keep anyway.   In return for walking with God you get life that you cannot lose, everlasting life in God’s kingdom.  Let’s keep the first thing first. Share Who’s Love?

Today’s Feast

Feb. 7, 2016 1 Kings 2

Share Who’s Love?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 2; “David's dying charge to Solomon. (1-4) David's charge as to Joab and others. (5-11) Solomon reigns, Adonijah aspiring to the throne is put to death. (12-25) Abiathar banished, Joab put to death. (26-34) Shimei is put to death” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David’s is dying and he tells Solomon to obey the laws of God. David’s tells Solomon how to deal with Joab and others.   Solomon is installed on the throne, for trying to take the throne Adonijah is put to death.  Abiathar is banned from being a priest to the Lord, Joab put to death for killing righteous men.  Shimei is put to death;   ”42 the king sent and summoned Shimei and said to him, “Did I not make you swear by the Lord and solemnly warn you, saying, ‘Know for certain that on the day you go out and go to any place whatever, you shall die’? And you said to me, ‘What you say is good; I will obey.’ 43 Why then have you not kept your oath to the Lord and the commandment with which I commanded you?” 44 The king also said to Shimei, “You know in your own heart all the harm that you did to David my father. So the Lord will bring back your harm on your own head. 45 But King Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the Lord forever.” 46 Then the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and he went out and struck him down, and he died.”  1 Kings 1:49:53, ESV. Sin is like a cancer, which keeps eating away unnoticed for a while.  We should listen to David’s instructions to Solomon. We need to obey God and keep his precepts.  “[Bless the LORD, O My Soul] Of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,Psalm 103:1-2, ESV.  In all our ways we should honor Jesus.  Share his love and keep the first thing first. The gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Let our very souls praise the Lord! If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; http://admenu.com/prayer.html.  Prayer request or Praise reports can be sent to brother Mike at;  mike@admenu.com
