Wise Servant Of Jesus

God warns Solomon, and his people might not be high-minded, but to continue to be God fearing.  Sometimes as congregations have been mightily blessed they tend to think that they have more liberties than those less blessed.  God is saying it would be better for Him to chasten them, than for them to go on with ease and prosperity in sin.  “3 And the Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your plea, which you have made before me. I have consecrated this house that you have built, by putting my name there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time. 4 And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, and keeping my statutes and my rules,”  1 Kings 9:3-4, ESV.   God will bless us but we must still serve and praise Him.  He doesn’t want religious people nor should we turn our Church building into a club house, exclusive from those less blessed.  The way we please God is continuing to love Him, and share that love with as many as possible.  “11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,” Titus 2:11-12, ESV.  We continue to serve God, as we keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  We don’t think that we have the corner on God because he is blessing us.  The best religion is the ones that continue to love praise and serve God, in Jesus precious name. God blessed Solomon and all the people. Bless God from whom all blessings flow.  “56 “Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. 57 The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  We ask for the wisdom so that we might clearly be a blessing to our God.  Our Awesome God from whom all blessings flow. Preparing A Mansion!

Look at the beautiful house and the furnishings Solomon had built. “40 Hiram also made the pots, the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram finished all the work that he did for King Solomon on the house of the Lord: 41 the two pillars, the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars, and the two latticeworks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the tops of the pillars; 42 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates for each latticework, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars; 43 the ten stands, and the ten basins on the stands; 44 and the one sea, and the twelve oxen underneath the sea.”  1 Kings 7:40-44, ESV.   We continue to read about the beauty of the home of Solomon and the beautiful temple dedicated to God.  Think of this Saint, Jesus is preparing a mansion for you.  All of the beauty of Solomon’s house will pale in comparison to what Jesus is preparing for us. “17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV.  Thank Jesus for the time and our life with Jesus in which we carry the message of salvation.  Blessings are raining down on everyone who loves the Lord and calls on Him in the name of Jesus.  Let’s keep the first thing first. How We Build New Temples!

Today’s Feast Feb. 11, 2016 – 1 Kings 6 How We Build New Temples! clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;”  1 Corinthians 13:4-5, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 6; “The building of Solomon's temple. (1-10) Promise given concerning the temple. (11-14) Particulars respecting the temple. (15-38)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we follow the building of the temple by Solomon’s to completion. The promise given Solomon concerning the temple is extended to us through Jesus. “11 Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, 12 “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father. 13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.””  1 Kings 6:11-13, ESV.   We continue to serve our awesome God through adoption into the family by His grace in Christ Jesus.  It is by joy we walk in God’s statutes, obeying Him, loving God’s rules and keeping all of His commandments, as we share Jesus and walk with Him.  “Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters… “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 ESV.  We thank Jesus that we have been selected to carry forth the message of salvation.  We will keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  As long as God is willing and remembering that He is not willing that any should perish.  The Holy Spirit will continue to give us direction and the remembrance of Jesus’ Word as we serve God.  Each and every soul that accepts Jesus becomes a new temple filled with the Holy Spirit. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow. God Has It Covered!

Today’s Feast Feb. 10, 2016 – 1 Kings 5 God Has It Covered! clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  Matthew 11:28, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in 1 Kings Chapter 5; “Solomon's agreement with Hiram. (1-9) Solomon's workmen for the temple. (10-18)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we prayerfully read in, 1 Kings 5. There is no opposition (Satan), or other enemies at his door, so Solomon enters into an agreement with Hiram to build the temple. Solomon drafts workmen for the temple.  Because God has granted him wisdom he works out livable schedules for the workforce. “13 King Solomon drafted forced labor out of all Israel, and the draft numbered 30,000 men. 14 And he sent them to Lebanon, 10,000 a month in shifts. They would be a month in Lebanon and two months at home. Adoniram was in charge of the draft. 15 Solomon also had 70,000 burden-bearers and 80,000 stonecutters in the hill country, 16 besides Solomon’s 3,300 chief officers who were over the work, who had charge of the people who carried on the work. 17 At the king’s command they quarried out great, costly stones in order to lay the foundation of the house with dressed stones. 18 So Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders and the men of Gebal did the cutting and prepared the timber and the stone to build the house.”  1 Kings 5:13-18, ESV.   When we are faithfully serving God and he hands us a task, God provides the means to complete it. The Holy Spirit provides the wisdom to complete our tasks in a manner that honors God.  “33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”” John 16:33, ESV. We have Jesus love to guide us in his purpose.  He has given us a mandate to carry the Gospel message to the entire world. In doing so we keep the first thing first.
