Love and Light!

We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  1 John 1:9, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 2; “Genealogies. - We are now come to the register of the children of Israel, that distinguished people, who were to dwell alone, and not be reckoned among the nations. But now, in Christ, all are welcome to his salvation who come to him; all have equal privileges according to their faith in him, their love and devotedness to him. All that is truly valuable consists in the favour, peace, and image of God, and a life spent to his glory, in promoting the welfare of our fellow-creatures.” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 1 Chronicles 2.  It is important to know our family tree.  Now in this chapter of 1st Chronicles we are reading the register of the children of Israel. These are the people, who dwelled alone, and not counted with the nations. “54 The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites. 55 The clans also of the scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites and the Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.”1 Chronicles 2:54-55, ESV.  Now however, all persons are able to accept Jesus, we are part of those who have come to Him.  Just as the disciples, we all are equal, being born in the faith in Jesus.  All who truly repent of their sin and ask Jesus to be Lord of their lives.  We glorify God in the love of Jesus; “6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.q” 1 Corinthians 13: 6-7, ESV.   It is all for God’s purpose that we share this faith in love.  We share Jesus in His love keeping the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Our lives reflect the love and light of Jesus, for all people to see. Made For a Purpose!

We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 6:23, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 1; “The books of Chronicles are, in a great measure, repetitions of what is in the books of Samuel and of the Kings, yet there are some excellent useful things in them which we find not elsewhere. The FIRST BOOK traces the rise of the Jewish people from Adam, and afterward gives an account of the reign of David. In the SECOND BOOK the narrative is continued, and relates the progress and end of the kingdom of Judah; also it notices the return of the Jews from the Babylonish captivity. Jerome says, that whoever supposes himself to have knowledge of the Scriptures without being acquainted with the books of Chronicles, deceives himself. Historical facts passed over elsewhere, names, and the connexion of passages are to be found here, and many questions concerning the gospel are explained. Genealogies, Adam to Abraham. (1-27) The descendants of Abraham. (28-54)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 1 Chronicles 1. Brother Mike; “doesn’t reading all this genealogy put you to sleep”?  On the contrary as heirs to the throne, it is important to know our family tree. “The chiefs of Edom were: chiefs Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, 52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, 53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, 54 Magdiel, and Iram; these are the chiefs of Edom.”1 Chronicles 1:51-54, ESV.  This reading of the family tree is a faith builder.  Remember what God’s Word says; “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” “3 Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established. 4 The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.” Proverbs 16:3 – 4, ESV.   It is God’s purpose for us to share the Feast Saints, this way we read every Word that God gave us in this Holy Bible in about every three years.  We should continue keeping the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb. Remember the Lord made everything for a purpose. Share Wherever & With Whomever!

Today’s Feast Mar. 23, 2016 – 2 Kings 25 Share Wherever & With Whomever! clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. ”  James 1:12, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 25; “Jerusalem besieged, Zedekiah taken. (1-7) The temple burnt, The people carried into captivity. (8-21) The rest of the Jews flee into Egypt, Evil-merodach relieves the captivity of Jehoiachin. (22-30)  ” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 25.  After 37 years King Jehoiachin was released out of prison. No person can say that that their life will not be good again, because no person can know the mind of God. In our world today Jesus brings about freedom from sin. Sin is the cancer that hurts us; Jesus alone can free sinners. “29 So Jehoiachin put off his prison garments. And every day of his life he dined regularly at the king’s table, 30 and for his allowance, a regular allowance was given him by the king, according to his daily needs, as long as he lived.“ 2nd Kings 25:29-30, ESV.  We can never know the mind of God; however his purpose for us is conveyed in God’s Holy Word. “15 for you will be a witness for him to everyone of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’” Acts 22:15-16, ESV.  That is God’s purpose for us Saints we are a witness for Jesus!   Let your lamp burn brightly keeping the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Let’s continue to share Gods love, wherever we go, with whomever we meet. Vengeance Is?

Today’s Feast Mar. 22, 2016 – 2 Kings 24 Vengeance Is? clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. ”  Ephesians 6:10-11, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 24; “Jehoiakim subdued by Nebuchadnezzar. (1-7) Jehoiachim captive in Babylon. (8-20) ” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 24.  God spared King Josiah, whom He loved for his faithfulness.  After that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, sacked Judah and took King Jehoiakim prisoner.   The king of Babylon made Mattaniah king of Judah and changed his name to Zedekiah; “19 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done. 20 For because of the anger of the Lord it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that he cast them out from his presence.“ 2nd Kings 24:19-20, ESV.  God is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He never lies and he took vengeance on God’s people because of their hard hearts.  God’s Word tells us how to live with a glad heart. “[Thanksgiving] 3 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.” 2nd Thessalonians 1:3, ESV.  It is easy to complain and even be bitter to other.  That is not Gods plan for us Saints.  Don’t harden your heat towards one another but thank God for whatever circumstance you find yourself in.  Vengeance is not ours however; love is. Remember faith comes by hearing God’s Word.  Keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Our goal is to serve God with an open heart holding all those who love Jesus and those who will up, in prayer and deed. A Willing Heart?

Today’s Feast Mar. 21, 2016 – 2 Kings 23 A Willing Heart? clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”  Jeremiah 17:7, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 23; “Josiah reads the law, and renews the covenant. (1-3) He destroys idolatry. (4-14) The reformation extended to Israel, A passover kept. (15-24) Josiah slain by Pharaoh-nechoh. (25-30) Wicked reigns of Jehoahaz and Jehoiakim. (31-37)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 23.  King Josiah turns to the Lord, when he hears the words of the Book of the Covenant.  There was no king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul. There was no Kings before or after him that turned to God like Josiah.   The Lord was still angry with Judah, because of Manasseh’s sin.  Our merciful God took Josiah, before he kindled his wrath against Judah and Jerusalem; “19 And Josiah removed all the shrines also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which kings of Israel had made, provoking the Lord to anger. He did to them according to all that he had done at Bethel. 20 And he sacrificed all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned human bones on them. Then he returned to Jerusalem.“  2nd Kings 23:19-20, ESV.  Because Josiah’s heart was with God he never saw or endured the dissolution of the Holy Land. Because we can’t imagine the mind of God or the manner of life with him we almost never see death as a blessing. Sometimes we may wish death of our enemies while they are still in sin.   “[Love Your Enemies] “43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”” Matthew 5:43-45, ESV.  It is easy to recognize that our earthly ways are not God like.  We can see here in Matthew that God is not willing that any should depart this life in sin.  Therefore we need to keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Our goal is to serve God with a willing heart. Is Death A Blessing?

Today’s Feast Mar. 20, 2016 – 2 Kings 22 Is Death A Blessing? clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.”  1 Peter 2:2-3, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 22; “Josiah's good reign, His care for repairing the temple, The book of the law found. (1-10) Josiah consults Huldah the prophetess. (11-20)” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 22.  In deference to what we have been reading in the second book of kings, Josiah the king of Judah is a Godly man.  Because he is right with the Lord God, he is rewarded with death before the wicked reap what they have sewn; “19 because your heart was penitent, and you humbled yourself before the Lord, when you heard how I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the Lord. 20 Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes shall not see all the disaster that I will bring upon this place.’” And they brought back word to the king.“  2nd Kings 22:19-20, ESV.   I suppose there were many there who said; “Why has God taken him, it is unfair he was a Godly man?”  God alone knows everything and death is a blessing that allows some to avoid the pain in an ungodly world.  Remember God created us in his image eternal beings.  Death was given to man as a blessing so he could escape an ungodly eternity here separated from him.  “10  O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.” Psalm 97:10, ESV.  God rewards his people with death in this temporary world.  Then gives them eternal life in in His kingdom.  Keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Remember we are looking to God however, we don’t understand everything He has in store for us.  We have seen this mercy before.
