Famine, Sword, and Pestilence

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness,” 2 Timothy 3:16 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 15.  God tells Jerimiah; Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, my mind remains unchanged about (see Jeremiah 15:1-9) these unrepentant people.  Though Saints alive or dead pray for people they only gain forgiveness by their own repentant requests (see Acts 4:12) made in the name of Jesus.  Though Jeremiah is a man of God; (see Jeremiah 15:10-14) reminding them of God’s covenant they hate him because they love the world.  Jeremiah is filled with love for God and God’s people.  He is full of concern for their trespasses (see Jeremiah 13:12-17) and he is unable to bring about their sincere repentance.  Jeremiah is assured that the Lord would deliver him from his enemies; “20 And I will make you to this people a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you, but they shall not prevail over you, for I am with you to save you and deliver you, declares the Lord.  21 I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.”“ Jeremiah 15:20-21 NKJV.   As Christians, we are supposed to separate ourselves from the sin of the world (see Revelation 18:4) while carrying the message of God’s love to them.  At the same time, we are to avoid causing strife in the church.  “10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.“  1 Corinthians 1:10  NKJV.  Many times, strife is brought up by subjects that have (see 2 Corinthians 5:19-21) no bearing on salvation!  We have to avoid arguing over that (see Titus 3:9) which does not affect salvation.  In all things we reach out with that same love Jesus has for each of us; “1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 NKJV. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

“8 Let my mouth be filled with Your praise And with Your glory all the day. Psalm 71:8 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 14.  Jeremiah prophecies concerning the drought.   God’s chosen people are backsliding (see Jeremiah 14:1-9) they feel like God has abandoned them.  God has not forsaken them; they have broken their covenant with God.  Because they are unrepentant, God is referring to them as “this people” rather than “my people”.  The land is full of false prophets (see Jeremiah 14:10-16filling the minds of “this people” with their lies.  The prophet Jeremiah is confessing to the sinful ways of this people, (see Jeremiah 14:17-22) he is asking God to remember the covenant with His people. “21 For the sake of your name do not despise us; do not dishonor your glorious throne. Remember your covenant with us and do not break it. 22 Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, LORD our God. Therefore our hope is in you, for you are the one who does all this. “ Jeremiah 14:21-22  NKJV.   When we feel far off from God (see Hebrews 13:5) it is not God who has slid away.  “5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. “  Romans 15:5-6 NKJV.  Jesus is faithful and true (see Ephesians 1:3) we can be assured of His love and righteousness.  If we have vowed to do anything in Jesus name (see Luke 9:62) we can never turn back. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Jars Filled with Wine

Humility Cures Worldliness” ’7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.’” James 4:7 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 13.  Jeremiah teaches by signs.    Pride soils Judah and Jerusalem; they are being compared (see Jeremiah 13:1-11) to a soiled loincloth.  Because they are unrepentant, prideful sinners God filled (see Jeremiah 13:12-17) all who lived in this land with drunkenness to bring about sincere repentance.  The prophet Jeremiah is saying that their sin is like cancer, (see Jeremiah 13:18-27) and if they will not repent their sin will kill their very souls. “25 This is your lot, The portion of your measures from Me," says the Lord, "Because you have forgotten Me And trusted in falsehood. 26 Therefore I will uncover your skirts over your face, That your shame may appear. 27 I have seen your adulteries And your lustful neighings, The lewdness of your harlotry, Your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you still not be made clean?"“ Jeremiah 13:25-27  NKJV.   This is the wicked man’s portion from God, the heritage decreed for him by God, death, (see Romans 6:23) while the free gift from God is life everlasting.  “17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. “ James 3:17-18 NKJV.  You and I are the ambassadors for Jesus, sober minded, filled with His righteousness, sharing salvation and hope (see 2 Corinthians 5:19-21) with all who will repent and accept God’s gift. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Jeremiah’s Complaint

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three year.  Gods Not Dead!

1 A Psalm of David. Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. Psalm 37:1 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah  Chapter 12.  Jerimiah complains to God; righteous are you, O Lord, when I complain to you.  (see Jeremiah 12:1-6) And God Answers Jeremiah; reproving the prophet.  Just as in the days of Jerimiah; Many professing churches today are, preaching a mixture of religion and the world.  God will not bless (see Jeremiah 12:7-13) vain fashions, worldly pursuits, and those who contaminate His Word.  The prophet Jeremiah is saying that wicked worldly people offend God (see Jeremiah 11:18-23) even so if they will repent and accept Gods covenant He will redeem them. “16 And it shall be, if they will learn carefully the ways of My people, to swear by My name, 'As the Lord lives,' as they taught My people to swear by Baal, then they shall be established in the midst of My people. 17 But if they do not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation," says the Lord. “ Jeremiah 12:16-17  NKJV.   Just as we read in God’s word yesterday; “If we deny Jesus; He will (see Matthew 10:33) deny us.  When we acknowledge Jesus and walk in His light (see Romans 8:28) all things will work together for our good.”  “10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.“ Hebrews 6:10  NKJV.  God knows how much you love Him (see Matthew 10:42) and how you strive to imitate Jesus. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.” Jeremiah 17:9-10 NKJV.
