Because You Have Obeyed

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

6 This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.” 2 John 1:6  New King James Version (NKJV)

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 35
Verses 1-11 “Jonadab was famous for wisdom and piety. He lived nearly ( Kings. 10:15 ) to drink wine. He also appointed them to dwell in tents, or movable dwelling: this would teach them not to think of settling any where in this world. To keep low, would be the way to continue long in the land where they were strangers. Humility and contentment are always the best policy, and men’s surest protection. Also, that they might not run into unlawful pleasures, they were to deny themselves even lawful delights. The consideration that we are strangers and pilgrims should oblige us to abstain from all fleshly lusts…”
Verses 12-19 “The trial of the Rechabites’ constancy was for a sign; it made the disobedience of the Jews to God the more marked. The Rechabites were obedient to one who was but a man like themselves, and Jonadab never did for his seed what God has done for his people. Mercy is promised to the Rechabites. We are not told respecting the performance of this promise; but doubtless it was performed, and travellers say the Rechabites may be found a separate people to this day. Let us follow the counsels of our pious forefathers, and we shall find good in so doing.” –  Matthew Henry Concise Commentary
18 Then Jeremiah said to the family of the Recabites, “This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘18 And Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts and done according to all that he commanded you, 19 therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not lack a man to stand before Me forever.”’”” Jeremiah 35:18-19 NKJV.  I am reminded here that; the first commandment that comes with a promise (see Ephesians 6:2) is to obey our parents. What our Lord Jesus asks of us is asked in love, (see 1 John 5:3) is to be delivered in love.  “13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. “  Colossians 3:13 NKJV.  Every good gift comes from (see James 1:17) God our Father in loving mercy. We are asked to humbly deliver the good news (see Ephesians 4:2) to our neighbors in love. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Zedekiah is to Die in Babylon

Zedekiah is to Die in Babylon

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

“6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”” Deuteronomy 31:6 New King James Version (NKJV)

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 34.  “22 Behold, I will command,’ says the Lord, ‘and cause them to return to this city. They will fight against it and take it and burn it with fire; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without inhabitant.’”” Jeremiah 34:22 NKJV.  Every verse we read today screams of God’s glory, love and mercy (see Peter 1:20-25 ) he never turns away a person with a repentant, loving and contrite heart.  “13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.“  Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV.  Our God is righteous; Jesus is a perfect man without sin (see 1 Peter 1:18-20) there is no other one fit to impart righteousness to us.  I’ve heard people saying if God really loves us (see 1 Corinthians 1:18) why does he allow … or he wouldn’t allow people to suffer. God gives us the freedom to see and evaluate all of the possibilities for ourselves (see 2 Corinthians 4:3) so we can see if we want to live in bondage to sin or not.  While those who are perishing (see 1 Corinthians 1:18) are blinded to the truth.  We are ambassadors for Christ, we are the light of the world and (see Matthew 5:14-16) Jesus has put us here so those who are lost might see God’s love.  If we imitate Jesus as we carry the Word we will never (see john 8:12) walk in darkness.  Basing what we know for sure about God’s love for the people in the world (see john 3:16) we know how important it is to season all we do with (see1 Corinthians 13:1-3) LOVE.   We understand (see 1 Corinthians 13:4-7) what love is and what love is not.  Therefor we as ambassadors for Jesus will continue sharing God’s Love until (see 1 Corinthians 13:8) love ends. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14  NKJV.

Our Lord’s Eternal Covenant

The Best of the Feast

Lord’s Eternal Covenant

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

“3 The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.”” John 10:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading the book of Jeremiah Chapter 33
Verses 1-13 Those who expect to receive comforts from God, must call upon him. Promises are given, not to do away, but to quicken and encourage prayer. These promises lead us to the gospel of Christ; and in that God has revealed truth to direct us, and peace to make us easy. All who by sanctifying grace are cleansed from the filth of sin, by pardoning mercy are freed from the guilt. When sinners are thus justified, washed, and sanctified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Holy Spirit, they are enabled to walk before God in peace and purity. Many are led to perceive the real difference between the people of God and the world around them, and to fear the Divine wrath. It is promised that the people who were long in sorrow, shall again be filled with joy. Where the Lord gives righteousness and peace, he will give all needful supplies for temporal wants; and all we have will be comforts, as sanctified by the word and by prayer.
Verses 14-26 To crown the blessings God has in store, here is a promise of the Messiah. He imparts righteousness to his church, for he is made of God to us righteousness; and believers are made the righteousness of God in him. Christ is our Lord God, our righteousness, our sanctification, and our redemption. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. But in this world prosperity and adversity succeed each other, as light and darkness, day and night. The covenant of priesthood shall be secured. And all true believers are a holy priesthood, a royal priesthood, they offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God; themselves, in the first place, as living sacrifices. The promises of that covenant shall have full accomplishment in the gospel Israel. In Galatians 6:16, all that walk according to the gospel rule, are made to be the Israel of God, on whom shall be peace and mercy. Let us not despise the families which were of old the chosen people of God, though for a time they seem to be cast off.”  –  Matthew Henry Concise Commentary  “23 Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, 24 “Have you not considered what these people have spoken, saying, ‘The two families which the Lord has chosen, He has also cast them off’? Thus they have despised My people, as if they should no more be a nation before them.

25 “Thus says the Lord: ‘If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth, 26 then I will cast away the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his descendants to be rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For I will cause their captives to return, and will have mercy on them.’”” Jeremiah 33:23-26  NKJV Dear Saint Jesus paid the full price to redeem you, (see Romans 5:7-9 ) so when you catch yourself in a sin be quick to repent and call on God in the name of Jesus for forgiveness. “19 The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments. “ Habakkuk 3:19 NKJV.  Now we share God’s gift Jesus (see 1 Corinthians 13:1-3) cheerfully with love to all our neighbors.  Let us put all sin, filthiness, and rampant wickedness behind us (see James 1:21-23) because Jesus ransomed us to be doers of God’s Word and not hearers only
If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”” Matthew 16:15-16  NKJV.
