Jesus The Great High Priest

The Best of the Feast
Hebrews
Jesus The Great High Priest

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

“7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.” Philippians 2:7  New King James Version (NKJV)

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews Chapter 4; “Humble, cautious fear is urged, lest any should come short of the promised rest, through unbelief.(1-10) Arguments and motives to faith and hope in our approaches to God. (11-16)” – Matthew Henry Concise Commentary
God’s promises us we will enter into His rest therefor we must be diligent (Hebrews 4:1) to hold on to and share our faith.  Jesus is our great high priest, (Hebrews 4:14) , hold on to what we have said about him. “15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16 NKJV. Loving both God and your neighbors “37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39 NKJV.   It is imperative that we hold onto and stress that (Romans 1:28-31) that today is the day of salvation, while we can still hear Jesus our great and high priest calling. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “[ The Lukewarm Church ] “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:14,20 NKJV.

God’s People Will Find Rest

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

“2 O Lord, be gracious to us; We have waited for You. Be their arm every morning, Our salvation also in the time of trouble.” Isaiah 33:2  New King James Version (NKJV)

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews Chapter 3; Be brave, don’t lose hope as those who followed Moses did because (Hebrews 3:1-6 ) Jesus our leader and savior is greater than Moses.  Be of good faith encourage one another each day so that you (Hebrews 3:7-13) will enter God’s rest.   We are not like people that heard God’s voice and rebelled (Hebrews 3:14-19) therefor we shall dwell with Jesus forever.  “17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” Hebrews 3:17-19 New King James Version (NKJV).  Trust God who began a good work in us (Philippians 1:6) to see that work through to completion; “8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands” Psalm 138:8 NKJV.  Do not look to or trust in men for help (Hebrews 12:2) keep your eyes on and trust in Jesus who died for us. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 NKJV.

Do Not Neglect Salvation

Do Not Neglect Salvation

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

“17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” Revelation 22:17  New King James Version (NKJV)

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews Chapter 2; Hold fast and honor the gift of salvation (Hebrews 2:1-4) delivered to us by God through the sacrifice of His only son Jesus.  Jesus became a man of flesh who remained sinless and willingly suffered and died (Hebrews 2:5-9) so that you and I might gain salvation.   In other words Jesus became flesh (Hebrews 2:10-13) and suffered a violent death to give us victory over death.  Jesus doesn’t die for the angels, (Hebrews 2:14-18) He died to for us, the seed of Abraham which were lost in our sin.  “17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” Hebrews 2:17-18 New King James Version (NKJV).  God’s Word is very clear about who and why (Romans 5:14-16) Jesus the only Son of God came to redeem; “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NKJV.  Jesus died to pay in full for the sins (John 3:16) for anyone who will repent and ask Him into their life. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Today’s Verse; “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV.

Supremacy of God’s Son

The Best of the Feast
Hebreos

Aug. 11, 2017 – Hebrews  1

Supremacy of God’s Son

Please join us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

“33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”” Matthew 14:33  New King James Version (NKJV)

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hebrews Chapter 1 “The surpassing dignity of the Son of God in his Divine person, and in his creating and mediatorial work. (1-3) And in his superiority to all the holy angels. (4-14)

Hebrews an overview; This epistle shows Christ as the end, foundation, body, and truth of the figures of the law, which of themselves were no virtue for the soul. The great truth set forth in this epistle is that Jesus of Nazareth is the true God. The unconverted Jews used many arguments to draw their converted brethren from the Christian faith. They represented the law of Moses as superior to the Christian dispensation, and spoke against every thing connected with the Saviour. The apostle, therefore, shows the superiority of Jesus of Nazareth, as the Son of God, and the benefits from his sufferings and death as the sacrifice for sin, so that the Christian religion is much more excellent and perfect than that of Moses. And the principal design seems to be, to bring the converted Hebrews forward in the knowledge of the gospel, and thus to establish them in the Christian faith, and to prevent their turning from it, against which they are earnestly warned. But while it contains many things suitable to the Hebrews of early times, it also contains many which can never cease to interest the church of God; for the knowledge of Jesus Christ is the very marrow and kernel of all the Scriptures. The ceremonial law is full of Christ, and all the gospel is full of Christ; the blessed lines of both Testaments meet in Him; and how they both agree and sweetly unite in Jesus Christ, is the chief object of the epistle to the Hebrews to discover.” – Matthew Henry Concise Commentary

Our Lord Jesus is the only son of God (Hebrews 1:1-2) and there is no other name by which we are saved. “13 But to which of the angels has He ever said: "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool"? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrews 1:13-14 NKJV.  God’s Word is clear and straight forward concerning our relationship (Romans 10:9-10) with Jesus. Jesus is the only Son of God (read this verse carefully it doesn’t say “a son of God”); “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:1-5  NKJV.  Do not be fooled by those (Galatians 1:7) who would change, question the interpretation, or add too God’s Holy Word. If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.
