Mom, April 18 Jeremiah 23

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully feast in Jeremiah 23.  I hope you all had a blessed weekend and that you in turn blessed God.  Thank our Lord God that he sent his Word so we could hold everything up to it.  That is a way to know if you’re having that personal relationship with Jesus nurtured by your pastor; “1 “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the LORD. 2 Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: “Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the LORD. 3 “I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number. 4 I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the LORD.”  Jeremiah 23:1-4 (New International Version). If the Church Sheppard’s word is not lining up perfectly with God’s Word, approach him and ask why, point out what the Word says. I truthfully, tell you that the most important thing is your relationship with Jesus. If he can’t tell you how it lines up perfectly, you may ask him to explain to the flock what he truly meant. If he continues to twist or misinterpret God’s word, pray for him while you find a new Church Pastor to fellowship with.  God’s word is truly a two edged sword. If God is willing I will post and send the Feast tomorrow.  Let’s keep the first thing (Salvation by Jesus) First!

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” - Romans 10:9-10, (New King James Version.) On the Bible Gateway.
