When the Church Joins Jesus
May 31, 2013 – Nehemiah 12
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Nehemiah 12.
The genealogy of the priests and Levites that returned. The wall is dedicated
with praise and thanksgiving. The officers were appointed over the
storerooms, the contributions, the first fruits, and the tithes. “46 For long ago in the days of David and
Asaph there were directors of the singers, and there were songs of praise and
thanksgiving to God. 47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the
days of Nehemiah gave the daily portions for the singers and the gatekeepers;
and they set apart that which was for the Levites; and the Levites set apart
that which was for the sons of Aaron.” Nehemiah 12:31:36 English Standard Version
(ESV). Giving was not looked at as a
burden or solemn duty. They gave to God with praise and thanks giving. “For
the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the
voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead
in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and
so we will always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ESV. What a Joy it is to be able to go to God
with praises and thanksgiving. There
will be no grief, burden, sadness, pain nor sorrow when we join Jesus (see
Revelation 21:4). Jesus Himself will
wipe away any tears. When the Church
joins Jesus it will be a joyful event.

How can I afford it?
How can I afford it?
May 30, 2013 – Nehemiah 11
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully
Feast in Nehemiah 11. The distribution of the people of God. “31 The
people of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash, Aija, Bethel and
its villages, 32 Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah, 33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim, 34 Hadid,
Zeboim, Neballat, 35 Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen. 36 And certain
divisions of the Levites in Judah were assigned to Benjamin.” Nehemiah 11:31:36 English Standard Version
(ESV). Once again we see that there is
a purpose for everyone who accepts Jesus as their savior. “In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me?” Psalm 56:4 ESV. Jesus saves us from sin and suffering. He has a purpose for everyone he saves. When Jesus gives you an assignment the Holy
Spirit gives you understanding and God will supply the means. “For “the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.” 1
Corinthians 10:26

When we fail!
When we fail!
May 29, 2013 – Nehemiah 10
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully
Feast in Nehemiah 10. Those entering a covenant with God, are turning from
world, and are vowing to be directed by the Word of God. They make a pledge saying they will live to serve
God “…39 For the people of Israel and
the sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the
chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, as well as the priests who
minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. We will not neglect the house
of our God.”” Nehemiah 10:39 English Standard Version
(ESV). Many people eagerly ask Jesus
in to their lives. Unlike Jesus they drift
away from their relationship with the Son of God. “But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, to those
who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.” Psalm
103:17-18 ESV. Jesus saves us from sin
and suffering. He paid for all of our
sins and is faithful to forgive us when we slip back into sin. All that he requires from us is that we
truly repent and ask Jesus to forgive us.

“But I do not account my life of any value nor as
precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I
received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
Acts 20:24 ESV.
