When the Church Joins Jesus      May 31, 2013 – Nehemiah 12     Return to Admenu Home   Admenu’s Alternate Site       Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in Nehemiah 12. The genealogy of the priests and Levites that returned. The wall is dedicated with praise and thanksgiving. The officers were appointed over the storerooms, the contributions, the first fruits, and the tithes.  “46 For long ago in the days of David and Asaph there were directors of the singers, and there were songs of praise and thanksgiving to God. 47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel and in the days of Nehemiah gave the daily portions for the singers and the gatekeepers; and they set apart that which was for the Levites; and the Levites set apart that which was for the sons of Aaron.”  Nehemiah 12:31:36 English Standard Version (ESV).  Giving was not looked at as a burden or solemn duty. They gave to God with praise and thanks giving. “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ESV.  What a Joy it is to be able to go to God with praises and thanksgiving.  There will be no grief, burden, sadness, pain nor sorrow when we join Jesus (see Revelation 21:4).   Jesus Himself will wipe away any tears.  When the Church joins Jesus it will be a joyful event.   Jesus wants you?  Do you hear Him calling?  Do you want to love and be loved?
