Why every word in the bible?   June 11, 2013 – II Corinthians 11     Return to Admenu Home or Admenu’s Alternate Site     Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in II Corinthians 11.  I don’t think that people are much different today than Paul of the Corinthians.  We have many temptations that would keep us from reading the word.  Though the people are the same, the temptations are magnified.  We have many false teachers today going door to door.  “12 And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds” II Corinthians.  11:12-15 ESV.  Our job as ambassadors for Jesus is harder than ever.   I know even some of my friends which portray themselves as Christian, will spend their summer at the river drinking.  It’s no wonder watch television; all the “FUN” people fornicate and/or get drunk.  We must listen to the whole Word of God in order not to be fooled.  Remember these prophets; “17 for it was said to me by the word of the Lord, ‘You shall neither eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by the way that you came.’” 18 And he said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house that he may eat bread and drink water.’” But he lied to him. 19 So he went back with him and ate bread in his house and drank water.” 1 Kings 13:17-19 ESV.  The true prophet of God was fooled by another so called prophet of god.  There are many people who claim to be men of God.  If you let them tell you what God’s Word says, you only know what they tell you.  If you read the whole Word of God, then you will know what Jesus says.   Jesus wants you?  Do you hear Him calling?  Do you want to love and be loved?
